I discovered Alter Bridge particularly this album during a time in my life when circumstances had really pulled the rug out from under my feet. It was a blessing to discover a band that not only could rock but had some very uplifting lyrics as well. I was honored to have met these guys this past year - a very humble group of guys. Love this band.
I share a similar story but I share it on a more of a psychological level, I was honoured to share this with Mark and Myles when I met them on two seperate ocasions.
I JUST LOVE MILES KENNEDY.. I tell you Chris Cornell was my voice.. I was devastated losing rock voice in all of ever... But then Miles lighted my way. I believe in myself..this much I know it ended well.
Just seen this, hope you are in a much better place. Im having a dark time at the moment but I've been through things before and the light will return. Stay strong
"all is well , and all ends well" I'm not just pointing this slight error out to be the annoyingly precise person in the comments, but because that subtle choice of words adds so much to the power of the song. all is well everyone, keep on going.
The most upbeat song Ive heard in ages, so welcome to my ears. Kinda gives me the feeling of walking down my old driveway back home. I never got into Creed but AB is really getting my attention.
@Phillip A While Scott Phillips, the drummer, says: "You can f*** off" to all people who compare the bands, I agree with you only slightly, it's important to learn just how much of Creed and Alter Bridge Mark Tremonti wrote. I think Scott in his solo career beats Myles' solo career, but it's Mark that makes Myles bring out the best in him. Also, Mark Tremonti would not know of Myles Kennedy if Scott Stapp and his Creed band didn't let the Mayfield Four tour with them back in 1998 when they were instant multi-platinum success. I agree with you in saying Myles' coval talent far exceed Scott Stapp's, he's a four-octave tenor vs. Scott's 2 octave baritone. Scott has a similar voice to someone like Frank Sinatra, John Legend, Jim Morrison, or Bono, whereas Myles is like (John Lennon + Robert Plant) * Bon Scott/Brian Johnson. Both have a metallica feel to their voice in some songs though, that's Mark Tremonti's influence in the many great vocal melodies from both. I disagree with you saying Myles' songwriting ability overall of the songs he's produced even compares to Creed. Creed cemented a songwriting style that inspired some of the greatest artists of our time and before: Chris Daughtry, Chad Kroeger, Brent Smith, Adam Gontier, and to much lesser extent, Imagine Dragons and Kings of Leon. Creed was a key transitioning to modern music band, and Alter Bridge continued Creed's legacy with a singer that sounded too different, yet with the music and melodies were superior in complexity but not actual overall musical value to the music scene. Scott's voice was far more smooth and beautiful in his prime than Myles was, and Myles may even agree with this(partially). Tremonti said, and I paraphrase: they have two different vocal styles which I like alot, it's whatever your preference is for a rocker-voice. They're both good. Then I might remind you, the drummer of the bands said: "People who compare the bands can f*** off." My own prison's songwriting is some of the best I've ever heard in a rock album- but I feel like weathered kinda falls short. Human Clay has a few iffy songs, but that album is in a class of its own- the "diamond" albums is what I like to call them. With arms wide open, Never die, Wash away those years, and inside us all meet this songs quality- I'm glad Mark and Myles could replicate Creed's quality in their songs- but not to the extent I would have liked. It was a foolish maneuver to depart from Creed's sound- Mark has regerets about this- he believes they should have picked their own people in a private company run by them to promote their music because Wind-up limited their ability to make millions and millions of dollars and millions and millions of more album sales by not letting them pick the singles they wanted at first. One day remains, in my opinion, is better than weathered. Blackbird is as good as weatherd- except for the song "blackbird". ABIII is as good as weathered, fortress is slightly better than weathered, I love this alter bridge album the most. The Last hero is pretty awesome, though I would say only half the songs are as good as weathered/one day remains- BUT:::::::->->->->-> WALK THE SKY is DA GOAT BOI!!!!!!!! That album is as good as human clay, in my opinion. I've even mixed them together- Holy sh*t! My own prison still remains my favorite album from all of Tremonti's albums in all the bands. So carry on, if you must go your way Though it breaks my heart, Your free will still remains -ABIII, Still remains

What an Incredible song. Don't know how I missed this one for so long. Seen them twice and gave me goose bumps both times! Myles is from my home town so gotta support!
When i listen this music i see a person sitting down next someone that is just a few moments before suicide and talk how much life can be hard and unfair. I realize this when song says: "You have so much to give once you live a little more..."

Nice work. Couple things to note. 1) The lyric is "Somewhere down the road, YOUR stars will show..." Not "THE stars will show..." 2) Please make this video playable by mobile devices. Most people are on mobile devices these days and when you get the error message of "the owner has not made the video payable by mobile devices"...gets kinda annoying... Thx,
It’s their most progressive hit so far, though to make it a single it would require: 1. Cleaner track, more consistent sound throughout, like when he says the chorus, turn down the instruments besides the lead guitar riffs to complement the voice of Myles Kennedy the best. This was the whole problem with The Last Hero, as much as I loved it. 2. A music video, people who need this advice in the video the most in the world- maybe a modernprofessional video-making studio. 3. Signing under a major enough label to be promoted massively no matter what- because there are many massive good studios out there, and remember, failure is not as much the studio’s fault as you may think- its maintaining the right path on the field of human clay.
This song is like a hug from my Mum. Very comforting.

This is the 2nd best song on the album behind cry of Achilles.
My friend sang this to me when I tried to take my life, i owe my life to him....
Easily the best chorus on the album, Achilles is right behind it.
Achillies has the best Metal chours, this has the best other than that chorus - dat bridge too is amazing
Best music ever.
