My wife and i have been on this ship twice and we have room 1530. As it's right at the top on port side you get fantastic views without any noise from guests. Also it has an extra curved bit on the balcony which is where we used to sunbathe. Really recommend this ship.

Ship just added water slide in place of deck with table tennis, Breakout room in place of the top deck chapel, trampoline with virtual reality headsets, pool tables in a game/break room, replaced Karaoke stage with interior rooms/cabins.

I have a question... hubby and I don't drink (we're not adverse to drinking, we just don't bother) but would enjoy sitting in some of the bars and lounges to enjoy entertainment and people watch... so I'm wondering if we can do that and have something non-alcoholic to drink instead.
Hi Ebba, thanks for watching. You can absolutely hang out in any of the bars and lounges onboard without ordering an alcoholic beverage. Unlike bars on land, cruise ships don't require minimum drink purchases.

Thinking of going on this cruise first time ever, we are not big drinkers of alcohol, are soft drinks expensive on board, do we have to buy the drinks package, what drinks are included with meals, I am finding it confusing.
Hi Joyce, thanks for watching. Included beverages are ice tea, lemonade, flavored waters, juices (breakfast time only) all from self-serve dispensers, plus regular coffee, tea and powdered hot chocolate. Anything bottled, canned, alcohol or fountain soda is extra.

Hi UnknownMyst_, thanks for watching. Royal Caribbean's policy is that guests must be 16 years of age or older to use the Fitness Center. They may allow younger guests who are accompanied by parents or guardians.

I went on this ship I loved it but sucked that we all got norovirus but hey I enjoyed the ship though ship was perfect I miss it.

Hi Pam, thanks for watching. Other than asking to have them reduced onboard (which is not something you should do unless you received absolutely horrible service), there is really no way to save on gratuities as they are automatically added to your account onboard.

Oh just an FYI.. they are taking out the Connoisseur’s Club and making it the new Library. 😢. I am happy I was one of the last to enjoy a nice Cigar many nights in there. Sad to see it go
Hi jxstylezx45, You are correct, and the disco is being turned into staterooms and Izumi Restaurant and the Skylight Chapel into an escape room.
Is the cigar room moved to another part of the ship or is it gone completely?
Hi David, thanks for watching. The Connoisseur Club cigar lounge was not moved elsewhere. Cigar smoking is only allowed in designated outside areas.
So are there no party clubs anymore? Sounds like it. A library for what!??????????????????????
Hi 2010cmarie, thanks for watching. Dedicated dance/nightclubs are getting harder to find at least on Royal Caribbean. They still offer dancing with dJs in other areas like the Viking Crown Lounge on some ships, Royal Promenade and various other lounges.

Hi MarcyBeauty 101, thanks for watching. Not yet. Water slides and many other new features will be added to Independence of the Seas during her extensive dry dock in April 2018. The first sailing with all the new features will be May 15, 2018 when the ship starts her cruises in Europe. Hi Dylan, thanks for watching. Yes, the gym is still located on Deck 11 after the dry dock, but they did take some of the space to add six new staterooms.

yes
