Great idea to use the test blocks in a quilt.
Great suggestion to use the same fabric to make test blocks & then turn those into a sampler. Thank you !!
Love the idea about making a sample block each time you start a new pattern and then turn it into a whole quilt eventually
I really enjoyed the options you offered for long term project storage. Thanks for sharing!
Just gave my husband very specific directions on how to order your quilt planner. My secret Santa asked him for a suggestion. I love your organizing methods!
Love your idea of making test blocks out of the same type of fabric, like Christmas or from the same designer. Thank you 🧵
I’m really bad about making test blocks my excuse being what to do with the orphans, but your tip to use the same fabric palette for all of them gives me cause to make them now. Thank you!
Great tips!!
Great tips❣️ I also make notes on patterns and in my quilt books. I draw diagrams or write hints, such as short cuts that I could make for example 4 at a time HSTs. I am a compulsive presser and also encourage my quilty friends to press, press, press as well as square the parts of a block as you go along, not just when the block is completed. Thanks for sharing.
I love these tips. I usually make a test block but never thought about using them in a scrappy quilt! Thank you!
Downloaded the free Village House Quilt pattern, and love your suggestion of keeping an ongoing basket of these houses to me scrappy village. Your videos are so helpful. Thank you!
Thanks for all the tips, especially the test block I have never really thought about doing that.
Thank you, Sherri, for all of the great suggestions! Like most others I love the idea about making a test block. I have done that a few times but I’m going to try to always do that!! I love ❤️ the idea about the scrappy quilt with all of the test blocks!!!
I’m new to your channel
Thank you for sharing
Definitely helpful particularly the tip about a practice block.
Great tips!
Very informative and helpful! I’m doing the little houses also 💜💜
Many good tips! Thank you.
Such great tips! Some I already do and some I need to START doing! Thank you for another great video, always enjoy them all.
Excellent tips. Thanks Sheree.
Thank you for the tips, a Sherri. I do have adopted some of the tips already and I will remember the ones I don’t. Great tip on making a test block. Always enjoy your videos. Thanks again!😘
Thank so much. Great ideas
Wonderful ideas!
Great info....you are awesome. I always look forward to watching your tips.
great tips
Great ideas, thanks!
I cut everything at the start except sashing - I prefer to cut that after I have all my blocks finished and sized/squared etc.
pattern for that blue zippered fabric "bin" you showed. I would love to make one
Great tips Sherri! Thanks also for the link to the house block pattern. Love house blocks. See you next time.
I always love your tips. What was that first sewn project bag you showed? I’m a knitter a love having my projects in sewn bags and want to do the same for quilting, more sewing right? Thank you!
Sherri- As a new quilter o think these tips are wonderful! Question, what would be the difference in Work in progress vs the long term project(straw basket). In my brain they are both work in progress🤪. Help please Thank you so much ❤️😀
I would have liked to see how you use your "Sew Dementa" bag. It's sitting there being ignored. 😕 I made one of these bags.
I some how missed the Saturday blog .it didn't show up on my email
🥺
