    You're temporary wiring looks nicer than my cleanest wiring..

      Thank you! I try to keep them as clean as possible regardless, if I change the set up or not. Normally, I never do but I knew when I built this model it was gonna get changed around sooner or later because all this was just temporary other than the servos.

    The blade spacers look very similar to the XL Power Spectre v2 ones. The XL Power ones come in both 1mm and 2mm thickness (as well as eiter aluminium or POM/Delrin), depending on the main baldes used. IIRC AZ700 have a 12mm root and used the 2mm spacers, and the RT Ultimates have a 14mm root and use the 1mm spacers.
    Potentially the XLP spacers could be compatible with the RS7

    I have the exact same components on my 700. Castle, iKon2 HD, SRXL2 with satellite & 2S lipo. Works fine.
    Another impressive build. Not liking the rotor head spacers.

      Definitely a great set up, the only reason I want to change the ESC is for telemetry because castle doesn’t support telemetry through iKon or of Vbar. I definitely agree! Not a fan of the blade shims.

    Great video as always. What's your opinion on antenna vs. antenna-less? Looks like Goosky could improve wiring and antenna mounting (I love how SAB does it).

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  10 месяцев назад +1

      I have Run both and they have both worked great. I have noticed a higher fade. Count with Antennaless but no actual issues. I really wish more companies would take into consideration, wiring and routing on these helicopters SAB is hands-down, the best nicest helicopter to wire.

    When u going to do a rs7 vs raw 700 comparison vid?

    All these companies are trying to compete in the 700 size but it always seems like the fit and finish never compares to SAB

      100% agree! It is extremely hard to beat SAB. Goosky did a great job for their first big Heli but, there is definitely some things that need to be improved on.

      Agreed, on both raw 420 and raw 580 I was super impressed with SAB. Beautiful machines.

      Idk man I just built a specter 700 nitro v2 and I honestly think it was my favorite build yet. Xlpower is really on top of the game right now in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong still love goblin but I also have to give credit where credit is due. Thing just works and works good

    • @Chriswillrise
      @Chriswillrise 10 месяцев назад

      I had a specter v2 and it was great. the only thing I don't like about specter is the multiple upgrades for the same heli. Makes it hard to know what part you need and if you buy an upgraded part, what supporting parts you need to make it work@@calank923

    Is this your personal build? Seems like you're trying an interesting ESC and motor combo. I had never eve heard of this motor until this build. I didn't even know Castle was still making an esc for helis. I want your honest opinion, no fluff, Is Vbar worth it? I'm really considering trying a Vbar Evo. I just know you were talking about having to wait for your Vbar FBL to show up, and it seems like you're doing a lot of videos showing Vbar more than anything else now. I figure, if I still like my FrSky better, I could always sell the Vbar for about what I bought it for. Could you eventually get around to showing a nitro setup tutorial on Vbar? I would be interested in that for sure!

    • @westhobbiesrc8051

      This is my personal heli. This motor is about 10 years old. I bought this motor a longggg time ago lol it’s been used in many builds over the years. They where built by Xnova for heli direct 10 years ago as a “house brand” good motors in there day. Castle never made heli specific ESCs just air ESC. I’ve got box’s of electronics laying around lol I didn’t want to wait to order a Hobbywing and Xnova and wanted to get this flying. Will change it over later on. Been spending a TON of money lately so saving where I can. What’s funny is today the Vbar EVOs I ordered showed up but I’ll leave it on iKon 2 for now and get some flights on it and when I have nothing to do I’ll change it over. Vbar is INCREDIBLE! I’m not paid or sponsored nor do they even know who I am. I pay for everything out of pocket and I love it. Best radio/FBL I’ve ever setup or flown. Not only does the heli fly better but the integration is the best out there. Being able to set your heli up right from the radio including the ESC is awesome! Let alone the telemetry. Highly recommend it! Yes, I’m going to convert my RAW 580 Nitro over to Vbar so I’ll use that for videos. I’m going to do a iKon vs Vbar video and show the difference and why I like it more.

    • @Lance57H
      @Lance57H 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@westhobbiesrc8051yeah I looked up those motors and thought it was pretty interesting, still seems like it's going to be a decent setup even with just your bin parts. Alright, I'm taking to a guy right now and am probably going to pull the trigger on a Vbar Evo haha. I never imagined the day I was actually going to get a Vbar 🤣.

    i am sorry but that thing can not compete with sab. Canopy issues, terrible tail assembly, this ugly shim configuration on the blades. This heli is not competitiv against others on the market.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  10 месяцев назад +1

      I agree, it would never compete with SAB. But I think they are on step for the right direction. It definitely needs some revision and work to be 100% perfect. The canopy being the biggest one I do not like and having to have two shims per blade I do not like.
