  • On Sunday 25th August 2024 we filmed Steamer K183 hauling 5 Tait Red Rattler cars run by Steamrail Victoria, across the Famed Eltham Trestle Bridge.
The Eltham Trestle bridge was built in 1902 and is the last remaining wooden railway bridge on the Victorian railway system over which regular passenger services run. Being classified under the Victorian Heritage Database on the 10/11/1998, it is a historic relic of a bygone steam train era.
How fitting that this video shows a steam train crossing the almost 200 meters of timber deck as a tribute to the past - from ground level, train level and the air!
