Yeah but if you had some charging stations it would be fine. That’s the main reason I can’t have one, the need to travel to rural areas with the need to “refuel.”

The electric Charger is going to be a major flop. A few novelty purchases but with ICE Chargers and Challengers rotting on lots in the tens of thousands, I can't see the E Charger finding it's own niche. And the fake exhaust sound effects? Talk about making a parody of the Charger name.

Stellantis management don’t have the slightest clue on what drives America in the passion of Automobiles. Mercedes basically gave Chrysler the platforms to be wildly successful but now coming off the heels of fiat nobody gives two rats about fiat cars. If only they had a guy the love cars like Ralph Giles or Lee Iacocca at the helm somebody allowed to bring back the fire that was there in the brand

There is absolutely NOTHING "cool" about a battery powered car. To me, and apparently MANY others, they are absolute GARBAGE. Dodge has always stood for performance. Internal combustion performance. Now they are betraying their fans, their customers, and current owners. I own a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 383/4 speed. I also have a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner, also a 383/4 speed. To me, back in the '60s and into the mid '70s, Mopar was the epitome of American muscle cars. These were my dream cars back then. But it wasn't until I was in my early '50s that I was able to afford them. Now they go and do something like this, and expect it to work. It's not going to work.

FYI: driving past Leesburg Florida Genesis today, showroom deserted, no vehicles new or used on the entire lot....not surprised. when i checked the price of a new Kona, the internet listed price showed a discount. However, buried in the fine print was a $899 electronic fee and a $399 dealer prep fee. That is fraud, as the msrp clearly already includes dealer prep and a full tank of gas.
back in 2011, i caught a Rochester NY Hyundai dealer double billing for gas on delivery, both in Rochester and Buffalo. Blew them into both Hyundai and the NYS attorney general. They had to issue a refund plus a letter apology to every buyer. Tha bad press alone cost them far more cash than they made.
Go after scumbag dealers, TK. and his allies! 👍💥🤗🔥💰

When considering the purchase of an electric vehicle, Dodge is not a preferred option for me. Instead, I would opt for a more economical choice like the Tesla Model Y, which offers the convenience of autonomousish driving. Market trends suggest that consumers prioritize range and self-driving capabilities over high-performance features, as indicated by the pricing of models such as the Taycan and Tesla Model S Plaid.

My thoughts regarding what going on with dodge and resent new about major automotive group potentially pulling out from Dodge, I don't think Stellantis is going to care. They didn't when they lost the contract with our Police forces across the US. If Stellantis actually cared, they would have better quality care for their vehicle. I personally feel that Stellantis wants the Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram brand to die. Maybe I'm wrong but it doesn't look or seam like Stellantis is trying to fix or correct there errors that they know they can fix.

The average person could buy one and not go broke. Sense the plandemic they have ruined it. Dealerships did not help with their crazy market adjustments. They tried to make Ram/Dodge into something it was not. Dodge is on life support right now, and the plug is about to be pulled.

In general vehicle buyers have historically been very fickle & reactionary to changes in fuel prices. In the early/mid 1970's we had the oil embargo which resulted in gas shortages and high prices, bringing about a super hot subcompact market including booming sales of smaĺl asian imports. However when that gas crisis ended, 10 mpg 4wd V8 pickup trucks became the rage immediately thereafter. We have seen similar cycles since then when gas prices spike then recede. All it would take is a significant middle east conflict doubling fuel prices regardless of whether foreign or domestically supplied, for average buyers to rethink & flock to EV vehicles. I certainly don't want to see that, especially as an owner of alĺ ICE performance cars, but if or when that happens vehicle manufacturers heavily invested in EV production will strive. In the meantime it only makes sense to still offer to the public what is currently popular. Seems a very stupid decision to not release an ICE Charger concurrently with or better yet prior to the EV version, given that the hurricane engine has already been in production. It should have gone on sale as soon as the 2023 models were ended.

Here's the thing with a gas vehicle. Let's say you are going boondocking or a long stretch with no gas stations? You can put two 5 gal. gas cans in the trunk and not worry. Can you do that with an EV when you get to zero range? I can make it with my wife's RAV4 hybrid on a 390 mile trip to a vacation condo on a 14.5 gal tank. You can't do that with an EV.

The brand was selling because of what the brand was offering.
The dealers took advantage of them and made big bucks by inflating prices on vehicles that ended up having the most problems.
This is one of the most spectacular car industry failures im even aware of. Its a perfect storm of mistakes. They expected the hornet to be a saving grace, its not. So the only thing left is that the electric versions sell better than the rest of the EVs on the market. THEY WONT. The best shot wouldve been to sell the six pack first. Its over guys. It really is. The engineers are gone.
FCA set high expectations that nobody else was likely to follow, especially a european company. All thats left is the image of dodge. No heart, no soul. Period

Stellantis is killing off Dodge whether we want to hear it of not.
If dealer can get out of their commitment to Stellantis they are gonna phase them out.
The focus is on Jeep and Ram. Those are the money makers for Stellantis.
They could give two craps about any of the other brands.
The buyers market is leading towards SUVs but not any of the small cars or small SUVs Stellantis are selling.
Unless some other entity tries to acquire CDRJ we might as well say bye now.
All the cars have the same failures and the waiting list for parts is ridiculous.
    It won't get any better...
If you don't really love dodge jump shipp now....

It's amazing companies build crap, ignore the customers, live in a dream world of being big and can do no wrong, well this ain't the 50's. Back in the old days car dealer were limited on the number on location they could have ( no mega dealerships ), second the factory's had complete control over the dealers on ever part of the business, toe the line or lose the dealership.
Now the mega dealerships control the builders, with the internet the world gets real time information on bad service. The old days if a customer had poor products or service how many people could they tell maybe 10 or 20 but today bad reviews can be on the internet before the customers leaves the dealership or any place of business.
The C-level people are oblivious to reality and do not act fast enough to stop the flood.
Thank you TK for the insight and updates.😎
