    Harley Benton makes actually some prety decent stuff! I'm not surprised by this guy of course. I have HB Bass Ukulele (you can find some on my channel) and plan to buy some more stuff they make. Great playing as always and review Gregor! Keep up the great work!

    I have two of these.
    At high volumes seems like speaker wants to escape. I always feared to push it. But once, I played outside with band. Placed them behind drummer (that was very bad idea because in front it could barely audiable_. So head to max and speakers didnt blow. So ill give +.
    Usually i used Vertical 2x10. Thats i was going for: cheap vertical 2x10.
    Cons: bulky and heavy. Maybe 22kg is not heavy for someone. For me its very heavy. Also, without car its not worth buying, so i had to buy Fender Rumble for gigs and reherseals. But i kept HB because i like look and sound and its not worth selling.
    By the way, they sound like a PA compared to other bass amps. I played other bass amps and they tend mud up sound. On HB you can listen to music. I like that, but not all people like.

    As usual, I am amazed at what Thomann does! Thanks for the review! I don't even play bass and I want this cabinet. I have several Harley Benton guitar cabinets. The most popular being the guitar ones with Celestion Vintage 30's. I've noticed that the ones I've purchased have screws on the name plate, so if a player would be shy about showing up to a gig with the Harley Benton badge, it can be removed easily. Put a sticker from another brand on it and your good to go! Not that I would do that. I have a feeling that Harley Benton will be a big name brand soon! They are too good for the cash not to be a big name brand.

    Beautiful Adamovic bass at 2 mins....love it!
    Great little cab for the price by the sounds of it! There are some greatly overpriced cabinets on the market that use not that premium parts so it’s great cabs like this get the light of day. Great review!

    Going to try one of these and a 15" on my block Benton amp. I will never run it full out, so they should be good. Anyone that would feel lesser for owning a Harley Benton product is daft. Both my basses are Benton, they are excellent, and I have the bass amp, problem solved, cabs sorted.

    First: there is nothing like "slow 15" - speakers". You would be stunned if you play a proper built and calculated 115". Those cabs are everything, but not slow.
    Have a talk with someone that knows a lot of speakers and cabs like Hans Struck of FMC. You know where to contact him.
    I purchased a Peavey TVX 410" some years ago. It was € 150,-- and serves me well together with the first one l now have for years. Only bad thing: they are too heavy.
    Just don't look down on reasonable priced cabs. Some of them like the GenzBenz Focus series or the Peavey stuff is pretty good. So sounds this Harley Benton cab.

    These days cheap cabinets are really cheap because everyone's buying boutique bass cabinets. You pay for the weight or lack of. I bet that cab is unreasonably heavy for a 2x10 and the wattage rating isn't bad but isn't that great

    Would be nice to see how it sounds with a 5 string bass or downtuned bass to see how it handles the low end and also maybe how it sounds with some dirt.

    • @OttoStranger
      @OttoStranger 5 лет назад

      I've used a 4x10 with an Orange ad200b with full on dirt sounded crappy asf , but sounded fairly good clean so it doesn't handle dirt that good.
      Downtuned of course "drop B"

    • @sambenson2297
      @sambenson2297 5 лет назад

      I use a stack of the 2x10 and the 1x15 with my six string in Drop A and it sounds great. I run a sansamp and a dark glass X7 and it handles it well.

    Over 50lbs 2x10 cabinet? What are the magnets made of lead? Lol my TC Electronics 4x10 is 55lbs and it does not have neo speakers. It's as heavy as any other 4x10. And who wants to ask for help with a little 2x10 cabinet? My band members would laugh at me

    • @RedbackRecordz
      @RedbackRecordz 5 лет назад +2

      Suck it up, buttercup! That’s not heavy! Better to have a bass cab with some weight to it, than some flimsy light weight piece of crap that will rattle its guts out every time you turn it up!

    • @darkkip2003
      @darkkip2003 5 лет назад

      Matt Cartwright think my Eden 210XLT is like 69lb! God knows where that comes from, easy-ish to manage compared to a 410, with the smaller size and handle position. Sounds great though

    • @mattcartwright8474
      @mattcartwright8474 5 лет назад +1

      That's just rediculous weight. And no a cabinet doesn't have to be flimsy plywood to be lightweight. When you gig several times a week, often in busy city restaurants where load in is through the front door with 2 dozen people crowding the door and nobody moving out of your way you'll understand

    • @mattcartwright8474
      @mattcartwright8474 5 лет назад

      @@RedbackRecordz you obviously use cheap cabinets and haven't experienced the difference in not only getting to and from the stage but the difference in sound onstage. Heavier is not better by any means

    • @darkkip2003
      @darkkip2003 5 лет назад +1

      I was in no way saying weight is a prerequisite to good sound, had plenty cabs lighter and sound great this is just where I landed at the minute, on the heavy side. The K series TC cabs are great and light.
