- It's been a little since my last legitimate video, and I'm glad I'm back! Plane Crazy got a pretty sweet new block, and I decided to show my first few hours messing around with it! If the compression towers are actually easy and I didn't realize, please let me know. lol
To those who got something like 1.06 (after subtraction), the axes of the motors set the precision off a little bit, so you do have to do a little bit of work on your own to specify the length. Using pythag should get you in the ballpark length, though.

Compress towers actually work and i have made couple of builds using them, they only work if an anchor block has its gravity on

Wow! this was very helpful! The transparent shield idea at the end could be used for my spaceships!
Compression blocks would be good for my spaceships as a shield thing
i can just imagine that! imagine angle locking them so they're spherical. that'd take a while

@@chiseledcheese a friend of mine made a toggleble spherical shield for their builds sort of like ace combat

can be used as a canopy since when u disable collision, the compressor becomes transparent when u go near it + it doesnt collide

Hey chiseled! If you look under the cave at the dock on the map, there is a random arctic pole sticking out. I’m not sure if anyone knows about it but I wanted to tell you.
When the compression blocks turns visible when you go near them, it reminds me of how when you shoot something at machine world in solar smash, the shield turns visible.
Compression blocks are really buggy when you attach to anchored blocks, like I do when the first time I met those blocks, I tried to make the compressed blocks above the anchored blocks to make some locking (compression locking?) and I see it's messed up and instead the compression block stays in the air, hope you noticed that 👍
I don't think it would happen on the original motorlocks but I think turning off physics work more on compression blocks (I forgot when to put the anchored blocks physics on or off) 🙃
Also compression blocks works at rotating locks, and it would be much better if transparent is on and collision is off 😅
I used compression blocks mostly for decoration of those cobblestone fences you see on fancy houses or old houses in Europe.
One thing you can do is, you can still motorlock, but it is kinda better. so it gets compressed into one singular block. But it can be kinda wonky at times. You can search it up if you want.

I used a -motorlock- i mean compression block tower for one of my small narrow gauge diesel locomotive, it was a pain because its always so buggy and only gets perfect only 1 time but usually its good enough

The compress block is cool, but very buggy, and laggy to load in, it would some times literally teleport or not work

i love that you skipped over the ony thing that makes it useful in builds lol, the fact that its an incorporeal camera is kinda the only thing we already didnt have, piston lock already exists you dont need it ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
why isnt flightpoint supporing mobile anymore? it did but then i just couldnt join anymore
The game is not optimized for mobile devices. Tablets are an exception. When Flightpoint 2 comes, mobile will finally be supported. The current game is just too unoptimized and it will be hard to make it optimized for mobile devices now.

@@katpleh it can be used not to fold but to kinda motorlock builds, like for example extending a telescope (can be used with both to compress and extend)

I love motorlock than compressors cuz compressers dosent collide
Also the blades on the island they don’t break your builds anymore but they kill you
so compressor blocks are motor locking but WWWAAAYYY easier
