Hey Cody! Great review. It sounds like a game I'd love...but I do have one question. Your action with the assassin card...is that something that has a great chance of happening? One of the things I didn't like about Twilight Imperium was the fact that you can plan all this stuff and then someone from across the table can shut it down by playing a single card. I don't mind that in shorter games, but if it's 3 hours or longer: I'd like my decisions to mean more than a random card played. Thanks!
Just curious about your story about the other player getting the pope title and winning the game. Do you not have to survive the whole round until the victory conditions phase to claim victory?
The Discriminating Gamer So if you have 4 points you automatically win? Could someone not have possibly killed one of the 4 lords holding a title that gave them victory points or such? Im just wondering because my previous understanding was that the only time a victory condition was checked was phase 7, and since the elections are held at the beginning of the round there was still more time to possibly stop them from winning?
Lionel Sy That is correct, assuming somebody else had an assassin card. If I had played my assassin card against a titled lord, it would have been the same difference. To my knowledge, however, no one was currently holding another assassin card. It is possible that they could have drawn one, however.
The Discriminating Gamer Okay thx :D yea just making sure lol. Loved the review by the way :).. This game is becoming a favourite among my gaming group also.
Sorry that the rest of the original comment didn't post. I like the Facebook sound in the background because I immediately switched tabs to find nothing there.
The centuries anachronistic art just ruins it for me. It's like they really wanted it set in the high middle ages but were still stuck with the IP for a late medieval game. I hope they weren't that oblivious anyway.
This is a very good and efficient summary of the game. Brilliantly done, sir!
+cgavin1 Thank you, sir.
Awesome video Cody. I love this game. Bought it a Gencon this year
Great game. Thanks!
Love your videos, keep up the good work 👍
Thank you!
So this is "Crusader Kings II"- the Boardgame?
Another game I want but most likely won't ever be able to play
You must have faith- you will play this board game! Positive thinking!
Can you tell us about the expansions, what do you think about them?
Board Games world Unfortunately, I haven't yet had a chance to play with the expansions. Fingers still crossed I'll get them to table before too long.
+The Discriminating Gamer Thanks, looking forward to it
I liked your enthusiasm, I liked the game, but my group does not like such epic games, I am dying to play it
Danke. Maybe it is time for a new group?

Hi Ray. It's been a while since I played this, so I don't recall exactly. I just remember that we had a lot of fun with it.
Getting a copy off eBay...how did this rank in your Top 100?
I haven't worked out my top 100 in a few years. I haven't played this one for a long time, however.
HEY Cody, I thought you would love this one. ;)
You thought right, my friend!

Yeah, but Geoff was the last player. He would have won by the end of the phase.

Some say the video goes even longer.

Nathan Palmer I did the same thing like 50 times when I was editing it.
+Nathan Palmer Pavlov would be proud

Regardless, it's a very interesting and fun game.
