That's the beauty of Minimalism, anyone can follow it anywhere. You don't have to move to the jungle; you can sell off your unwanted possessions, avoid impulse buying or lifestyle upgrades, declutter and organize your living space, clear your debts and invest your savings. Not only does this help save money, it also frees up your time to focus on productive thoughts, while the insecurity of maintaining all your expensive possessions goes away helping you sleep better.

I have been practicing minimalism since the past 2 years but it's hard convincing my wife why I can't buy her the clothes she wants or my daughter the toys she loves. But the fact remains that the more you own, the more you spend to maintain and store those possessions. Money in the bank is better than a Mercedes in the garage.

07:50 Stable monthly income via rent.. but we got a tenant who is a scammer. She wont pay rent or leave.. 5 months back we have police complaint but she keeps giving new reasons and she dint leave.. we now are sending notice and apply for eviction next month.. so next 3 years we have no rent and spending on court. Electricity and water not disconnected by authorities as the tenant claims she is living there. And we ourselves live in rented house in Bangalore

He's now 16 and enjoys writing, physics, trading, photography, video editing and more. He has developed an entrepreneurial mindset already and he is doing what he loves.. that's more important to us than he 'settling' :)

They are talking of minimalism... Thats the core point here...as she said - the value of 10 Rs...you can live in a city - but be mindful of the needless consumption

From the parent's perspective, this life is great, and I agree with that (u have enough money to survive for the whole 50 yr). But with the kid's point of view (if I imagine to be him). I would not like it, I want to have fun with a friend, have gf, do parties, live in a hostel without parents far from home for some years, and learn about the challenges of the real world. I think to have that maturity that rural life is great first u have to be in a busy world, the parent did but the kid didn't. if u don't have a kid then this is great, but if u have then I douth.
