Truly inspired by how the Dehradun couple has embraced a simpler, healthier lifestyle while staying financially stable. their focus on community, family values and teaching their kids life lessons is heartwarming. A beautiful reminder that true happiness lies in contentment and meaningful choices. ❤
I like the setup of Dehradun couple more but personally I can't compromise on 2 things 1. Hospitals should be in reach of 30mins. 2. Children schooling should be done in a decent school and it should be uninterrupted from 1st grade to 10th/ 12th grade. Rest everything I like about Dehradun setup.
@@VijayJoshi-tf9gn It's not just about schooling/ education, but children mindset gets interrupted by constantly changing the school. Cities and tiers don't matter, if they are getting decent schooling.
Nice one. I can relate to the Bangalore couple. Having born and brought up in small town & faced the challenges specially with education and medical facilities, feel will spend rest of my life in a city like Bangalore but in the outskirts for proximity to city facilities(hospitals/colleges/international airports), while being in a relatively peaceful area(preferably a large gated community) 👍
Please interview these folks again when some time has passed. It would be nice to see how their journeys/thinking has changed. Specifically, it would be useful to see how the Dehradun folks address the schooling issue.

Some facts: 1. Non uttarakhandis can't buy 1000 square yard rural land. In this case the guy seems to be local. 2. The rates of the land mentioned are nowhere close to reality. 3. This video seems to be motivated by the agenda of wint wealth to stop people buying expensive real estate in big cities and instead divert it to mutual funds and stock market. This comes from someone who has stayed in both the places, Bangalore and Uttarakhand.
You can purchase land 250 gaj on one person name then with the other person in your family you can purchase in that way you can have more land. I have done that in Rishikesh.
A couple from Mumbai move to Bangalore for better opportunities. This is not a trivial move. This shows how much Mumbai has deteriorated in the past 20 - 30 years. This should ring a bell. I am sure this hurts the egos of a lot of Mumbaikars.
Yup, when I hear the real estate prices in Mumbai,I don't know how average salaried employees afford the lifestyle. Mumbai has gone bonkers coz it's basically Lon Angeles and New York in one city
Abe 100 such couples also move from bangalore to mumbai too for higher salary. IT related folks will always move to bangalore nothing new. No need to overdramatise

Also, i couldn't help but notice the difference in patience of both the couples depending on their location. Brilliant video concept @Wint Wealth!

I think it's important to stick to stocks that are immune to economic policies. AI stocks that have the potential to power and transform future technologies. It seems AI is the trajectory most companies are taking, including even established FAANG companies. Maybe there are other recommendations?
I bought into NVIDIA around September last year because my financial advisor recommended it to me. She said the company is selling shovels in a gold rush. It accounted for almost 80% of my market return this year.
Very well made video! Both the couples are very well spoken and expressed their lives in great detailed! Really made me think about taking a decision to live long term in a tier 1 city!
Really enjoyed the video. Cities and rural life have their pros and cons. It's what we want in life that will help us appreciate the pros and adjust with the cons.

Not everybody from top mba colleges earn a lot of money. Many do, but some decide to prioritize other things in life which is probably what this couple did. It also comes down to skill and what you know. All these factors take you beyond the initial 25-30lpa u would earn out of iimb
Such videos risk turning villages into mere extensions of urban areas, eroding the very essence of what makes village life distinct and valuable. Why not focus on proper urban planning and improving city living conditions, rather than turning existing beautiful rural spaces into yet another urban sprawl? Additionally, such videos may inadvertently encourage a rush of people moving to villages without thoughtful planning, potentially transforming these serene spaces into congested urban-like environments.
totally agree with you on that!! Also even if people plan to shift to small places they can use eco-friendly materials and adopt sustainable practices to decrease the environmental damage
This is not in individual power to do proper urban planning rather governing urban bodies And even rural people after earning enough money build big & better homes
outsiders cannot buy land in himachal, thats the reason its safe till and is not overpopulated. But uttarakhand is all filled with outsiders, please dont come here, and spoil our lands

To all those who are thinking that the life in mountains looks better, you have no idea about the challenges of living in a village. I am from such place and i can never go back there.
Depends on solely what are your expectations Except for road connectivity, all the major issues can be resolved ourselves with money. I am too from a remote village in the hills and WFH since 2022
Exactly! Hospital is 45 minutes from there??? No good schools, no waste management facility, no municipality, etc. Unless your house is self sufficient, it seems like a nightmare.
@@chotatopips4177 Hospitals are necessary I agree, but for healthy couple it would be for emergencies only. Rest all other things are highly underrated, having lived in Bangalore municipality etc counts for nothing. All societies have their own water and electricity backups. The same can be done when you own the property and won't cost as much as it would be one time expenses for power and water backup. Schooling again is very subjective, with the internet all the knowledge is accessible now. Socialization for children is a different problem though.
Shifting to places like Dehradun is win win in all the scenarios except "education". Which I believe one should not compromise. There is a huge mentality gap between tier-1 and tier-3 cities. Just like IIT college vs any random private college.
Maybe it was true a few years back, not now. Knowledge is accessible now via internet. The only drawback can be the socialization of children in villages vs when they move out.
I guess balance is the key. I dont want to live in the populated, polluted, expensive and near the malls in Tier1 city and I also dont want to live in a small village in the mountains where there will be issues with healthcare, schools and commuting. There should be some place in Himachal or Northeast which is near to the city and safe still in the lap of nature.
Bangalore (or any other big city in India) me ₹50 lakh salary: - Direct Taxes paid - ₹15 lakhs - In-hand - ₹35 lakhs - Rent + Mainetnace - ₹5 lakhs - Food + travel + elec - ₹3 lakhs - (2 - 3) Air travel to home town + occasional outing - ₹ 1 lakh - Misc exp: ₹1 lakh - Kids Education - ₹4 lakhs - Savings: ₹21 lakhs If you want to buy a property - be ready to shell out ₹40 lakhs upfront + take up a loan of ₹80 lakhs to 1 Cr WITH JOB UNCERTAINITY given the current & developing job market scenario.
My Dream life would be 1) A beautiful house in a village with safety and good people. 2) Electricity and internet 3) A river or pond to take a dip everyday 4) Beautiful hills 5) 30 mins away from main city 6) Permanent WFH 7) A beautiful and understanding spouse..
The one clear view is from health prospective, it is clearly seen in video. But at last what matter is that both the couples was equally satisfied from there life style
These are two sides of living but i want to bring third one as well. It is living in a non-metro cities (Agra, mathura, prayagraj, vijaywada). These are tier 2-3 cities and living here will solve all the problems. * multiple schools , hospitals and other places are available. * less cost of living. * other basic needs are also available (i.e. internet) * if we stay outer borders of these cities then those are less polluted and also these borders are not far from the centre of the city.

Am I the only one who is just skipping the video just to listen to the dehradun couple story... Coz I have stayed in all most all major tier 1 cities and I hated it. Traffic, pollution, finding a house... You name it.
I moved to Karachi in 2016 for my education from a small town in Tharparkar. After spending so much time here, I’ve come to realize how peaceful my hometown truly is - a slower pace of life, calm mornings, gatherings with friends, a closer connection to nature, joyous celebrations of every festival, and an affordable cost of living.
after watch this video I would say, couples staying in Bangalore have made better choice considering that they will have to work for next 10-15 years and could get decent basic educations for their kids and settle up somewhere like Dwara. But, Dwara couples seems to be worried about their kids future and they have spent 80Lakh for their temporary stay (work from home is not going to be permanent option). Ya but bangalore is not at all liveable
They show it more like a usp of their lives for this video
Very true
I lived many years in Dehradun
And 10k is sufficient to live nice peaceful life there for months

Absolutely feel the same. I am in Bangalore and aware of the challenges. I would be happy to live the life of the dehradun couple provided my family believes in that as well.

*Well made comparison, I would say that the persona of both the couples also matched the places they are living in...*

I absolutely loved this video. Both the couples were sorted and shared their thought processes. Loved the contrasting aspects of a small village and a city like Bengaluru.
Two different set of couples. Loved both of them.

Yes both couple living thier own dreams.

that Dehradun family is living so peacefully, good for them
I like the setup of Dehradun couple more but personally I can't compromise on 2 things
1. Hospitals should be in reach of 30mins.
2. Children schooling should be done in a decent school and it should be uninterrupted from 1st grade to 10th/ 12th grade.
Rest everything I like about Dehradun setup.
Agree with your first point. But for second, i think tier3 can work till class 6th just you need to spend time with your children education at home.
@@VijayJoshi-tf9gn It's not just about schooling/ education, but children mindset gets interrupted by constantly changing the school. Cities and tiers don't matter, if they are getting decent schooling.
I feel other cities need to be developed as well else overcrowding of cities won’t end
💯!!
True
Mostly the outskirts become crowded and main city like way too early.
Please interview these folks again when some time has passed. It would be nice to see how their journeys/thinking has changed. Specifically, it would be useful to see how the Dehradun folks address the schooling issue.

This comes from someone who has stayed in both the places, Bangalore and Uttarakhand.
is it more or less?

Hi Pritesh, glad you liked it (:
A couple from Mumbai move to Bangalore for better opportunities. This is not a trivial move. This shows how much Mumbai has deteriorated in the past 20 - 30 years. This should ring a bell. I am sure this hurts the egos of a lot of Mumbaikars.
Yup, when I hear the real estate prices in Mumbai,I don't know how average salaried employees afford the lifestyle. Mumbai has gone bonkers coz it's basically Lon Angeles and New York in one city

This is not in individual power to do proper urban planning rather governing urban bodies
And even rural people after earning enough money build big & better homes

Socialization for children is a different problem though.
