    I got a $31 one and it functions exactly the same as yours except that it has no Eotech logo and all the freebies.

    I got one. Hasn’t showed up in the mail yet waiting, hopefully it’ll go to work like close enough to a real one.
    I much rather spend my money on ammo and magazines and other parts not all just on one Eotech…
    And let’s be realistic I’m only gonna be using it for the range, or a self-defense scenario with a Target under 30 feet.
    So in reality it’s 50% looks. I would only justify a real Eotech in a SHTF apocalypse scenario…

    Nice review, I have very similar thoughts on my replica, especially on parallax but I'm not sure I agree on the glass quality (I found out that without their included protector the glass was actually quite nice and bright with little to no ghosting with correct brightness). I bought the Holy Warrior EXPS3 about a month ago and the amount parallax was quite a bit upsetting at first. However I do also have EOTech clone from Nuprol (886 Holo Sight FDE) and when compared to that I noticed that HW has much clearer and brighter glass (I do not see any surface imperfections on my Holy Warrior lens, just on their acrylic protector) and has much much sharper reticle, very close to what I see on my Holosun sights (and I do love my Holosun sights). Unfortunately both Nuprol and HW replicas have terrible parallaxes but hey, it's for an airsoft and I can live with it. HW also stands out in terms of build quality and overall looks - from what I have seen probably the best looking EOTech replica out there.
    As for the negatives - yes, reticle is bleeding on brighter settings but even my Holosuns do when turned too bright for the conditions, with adjusted brightness there is no visible bleeding around the reticle. Ghosting is pretty much the same case - it's noticeable when reticle brightness is set too high for the environment, once adjusted it's very manageable. I don't know whether NV mode works, don't have any nightvision goggles.
    Now the biggest problem besides parallax that had with HW clone wasn't actually problem with the sights but rather their lens protector. It's crap - it's poorly molded and distorts the vision, it's making the sight picture a bit darker and fussy, and it was by far the biggest source of ghosting (reticle appearing multiple times instead of just once). I like the idea to include protector with sights, it clearly shows that they are aiming it for airsoft market, but I suggest getting Guns Modify EOTech Lens Protector instead of using the one included with HW replica, it's night and day difference.
    All in all I would say it's a really good sight for the money, especially if you wanna go for the looks. I love the reticle sharpness and glass is pretty good too (worse than my Holosuns but much better than Nuprol). The only (sort of major) let down is the amount of parallax which is on par with other cheaper replicas / sights that I own. Could it be better? Yes. Do I regret getting it? Not at all, it's a great looker, just don't use included lens protector and remember to adjust the brightness according to the environment so that it's not too bright to cause ghosting/bleeing.

    • @1LegionNetherlands
      @1LegionNetherlands  4 года назад +1

      Thank you very much for your reply! Directly after reading your experiences, I went and removed the protector. I must admit, it is the cause of the major reflection, makes the glass a bit more clear and it as well removes distortion. There is still some little ghosting indeed, but nothing noteworthy.
      So the critical things to improve are still the parallax and the quality control, as I had a sight with a broken elevation control.

    Anyone who thinks that these counterfeit sights are anything even close to an actual EOTECH you are just wrong. The EOTech is $500+ for a reason. They are battle-proven and reliable. These cheap copies are OK for a range gun or airsoft.

      Don't wanna argue but I will tell you something that I know for a fact that is contradictory to what you are saying. Since Russia's invasion, panic mode had Ukrainians strating to buy anything combat related, from anywhere they could. Here in Romania we helped as we could until our stocks went down and we had to start ordering from China. There was the Chinese NIJ IV plates fever, then there was the China tourniquet CAT fever, then the Baofeng radios fever and now there is some optics fever. I can tell you that Chinese NIJ IV plates are stopping AK12 rounds in UA as we speak, fake CAT tourniquets are stopping the bleeding of UA soldiers, as we speak, Baofeng radios are sending there messages through the air as we speak and these fake red dot sights are stopping Russian troops, as we speak. I know brother, we all prefer the real deal, but UA was an example of how quick supply bottlenecks happen and how quick you have to improvise in these crisis. Now, there are only two months of conflict and I am sure Eotech sights have more than that in proven combat but ... Chinese stuff works. And I am not sure about Eotech sights but you know, a lot of these original sights out there above the 500 price range are made in China, just with different production process controls. There are 300 euros sights on Aliexpress and I can assure you that the materials used in those are probably even better than the hardened alu made in USA. Just my 2 cents ...

      Sorry for our late reply. Parallax is there, but for airsoft it is usable. Only the glasswork of the item we got from HolyWarrior was not perfectly flat, resulting in a similar effect like parallax. So that was a very important negative point

  • @scottmcbride2237

    • @dblgonzo
      @dblgonzo 3 года назад +1

      Actually my EXPS2-0 is 100% parallax free evan inside 20yards which is where most sights have issues. You get what you pay for. This sight is not a holographic sight. It is a LED reflex sight. The Eotech will work even with the glass broken. Something that a reflex or normal red dot sight can not do. They all require the front glass to reflect the LED.

    Hi - I’m really interested in these optics, so thanks so much for the review.
    These optics have a steep price tag for a replica, but this is within my budget.
    However, I am afraid of purchasing one and it turning out to be sub par.
    My major concern is the tint of the glass - we have all used the cheaper EOTech replicas, and we know how dark the glass is tinted with those.
    My question to you is - how clear is the glass?
    Is it workable in any conditions other than perfect daylight?

    • @1LegionNetherlands
      @1LegionNetherlands  4 года назад +1

      I happen to had the chance to test the sight indoors Just recently. Even with the protector removed, the glass was still too dark. I had to constantly look over the sight, in order to check if there was movement. This was especially hindering in combination with the reticle that was way too bright, even on the lowest setting.

    • @Twib01
      @Twib01 4 года назад

      1Legion Milsim that’s a shame, so would you say that the sight is worth the increased price tag or not?

    • @1LegionNetherlands
      @1LegionNetherlands  4 года назад +1

      @@Twib01 well, regarding the performance... no. As in the review, I compared this with the reddot sights from Vortex, roughly 160'ish euro. They do a far better job when looking at parallax, clarity and the brightness. So if you want a proper working sight, that would be the go-to. If you really want that EOTech clone, cheaper ones will give you a somewhat similar experience.
