Bru this was incredible, the time and effort that went into this video is well appreciated! Truly one of my favorite youtubers I only wish the best for ur career Chris!
Smack down vs Raw 2006 is one of my favorites. I remember playing Austin and hitting a stunner and the screen goes into black and white mode with a heartbeat playing all in slow motion until the impact. They made the people who get stunned in this one sell really well 😂
I always felt like wm2000 had slighty better graphics for some reason, but the extra game modes of no mercy makes up for it. Also wcw/nwo revenge was amazing also.
@@deangelobailey5863 yea I know what you mean. WM2K had more Easter eggs when you put certain wrestlers in a tag team(Big Show + Shamrock = Union, Scotty Too Hotty + Too Sexay = Headbangers, etc)

Ah, the PS2 titles were just something special. Just Bring it, Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes The Pain were glorious. The SmackDown vs Raw titles were also just incredible.
2008-10 still looks more real to me than new one. Back then u understood the limits and was like as perfect as could be. Now are so detailed that you spot all of the problems

Back when games wanted you to actually get good at it, Those SVR07 objectives were just....No lol the final challenge having to beat Khali with Mickie James I never did it! xD
That final stunner definitely the best one. I hate how the majority of the games used that horrible back flip sell after the stunner. The rock was like the only one to react to a stunner like that yet it became the main stunner in too many games. Wrestlemania 2000 and No Mercy had the perfect stunner and for some reason was never replicated in any of the future games.
Stone Cold Steve Boston!😂😂😂 Loved this upload bro and appreciate all the work put in. Showed games I never knew even existed. No Mercy and Here Comes The Pain are the best ever!
The GameCube games were some of my favs. So good! Also its so weird to think back and all three consoles got different games. RAW had one thing I loved that the Xbox killed it with back in the day... And that was custom soundtracks and the ability to use your own music ask your walkout music. That just was mind blowing at the time
Bro I just discovered your channel it is so cool that you know of all the games and we can just have fun and watch all the finishers and entrances and just talk about wrestling because I know that it was hard to talk to somebody when I was younger, who didn’t know wrestling or Todd resting was not cool, so it was pretty cool
Wrestlemania and No Mercy were the shit on the N64. Wish they'd do a wrestling game like that again. Nothing comes close to how fun that was to play, and the moves still look the best
I highly prefer WWE '12 with their echo, motion blur and replay effect. It just looks so satisfying and perfect when hitting your finisher. And it's still cinematic, so you're really drawn into it.
He was at a Record store back in 2000 and I peak through the curtain and I saw him I called his name and he FLIPPED ME OFF with the intense look in his eyes. I wasn't into wrestling but I fan girled "He flipped me off, he flipped me off!" I will always remember that day! Thank you Charmed for playing Mel C's song on the show that prompted me to go there to look for her album which was BOOOOOOMB BTW. And that is my Stone Cold story.
Day of reckoning 2 is a gem that not enough of the community knows a about. The character customization rivals modern wwe games and was a staple of local multiplayer for me growing up
Hilarious! Also a nice visual trip through the history of the WWE games! Forever now, I will hear, "Adrenaline in my soul, look at my mustachio!" As Cody's song.
No mercy and HCtP were my life. Lol. I spent hrs on those games. Making new characters, etc. SvR and SvR07 were good n fun. I missed the freestyle that just bring it, shut your mouth, and HCtP had.
Thank you for the nostalgia trip, brother. This was such an awesome video, love to see a Rock Bottom, Sweet Chin Music or Pedigree in every WWE game someday 👍👍
Man this brings back so many memories I remember getting the smack down just bring it as one of my first ps2 games as a kid man how time really does fly. I had or played many of these games when i was really into wrestling and I had that side scroller for the Gameboy idk what happened to that it was def one of my favorites as you said so unique and fun.
I think the best stunner animation I've ever seen was in 2K14 (damn I miss that game). There were 3 versions of the move, bit I think stunner 2 had it where the stunner hit, the opponent would pop to their feet, stagger, then fall on their face. It was great. If 2K didn't shut down all the old dlc servers, I might be tempted to get into 14 again
I think the reason why stone cold was at a 87 overall in Legends of Wrestlemania, was probably cause if you look at the model, he doesn’t have the knee braces, its only knee pads, so i think it was Steve Austin from like 97 or 98 before he became WWE champion, so at the time, he was a rising star
What an incredible amount of effort this must have taken to put together, I see and appreciate you Chris (do you have ALL of these games!!?) Fabulous trip through the years, sprinkling in your comedic genius as you as well as some thoughts on the games as a whole. Few thoughts: Do wrestlers get paid for their in-game sells? I ask because most of the 'sells' in the games seemed to be The Rock's? Also, some of them were more like stunner RKOs where the opponent's knees never even touched down? (I'd also love Crush Hour 2) I think the animation sell from Rey and all similar animations from the stunner are my favourites visually, what about you Chris and anyone else? Massive respect for this video, does Patty still help with the editing? (NOPE!?)
I spent way too much time playing No Mercy back in the day. I even tried this enormous list of codes via Game Genie that was supposed to create a Hell in a Cell. It worked. Kind of. Great game.
Nostalgia is a hell of a drug, that game sucked balls lol. I had it as a kid and was so jealous of my friend with an N64 as the N64 games just made it all to obvious what a terrible joke warzone and attitude were. Oh well at least smackdown came along in 2000 to give us ps1 kids an actually decent wrestling game to own.
I'd love a video like this again, but for the Pedigree and Rock Bottom. And, man, seeing that Just Bring It intro was a nostalgia trip. I remember when I got the game like, the instant it launched. And I was hyped as hell seeing that fully 3D animated intro of all the wrestlers doing their moves and stuff. In fact, I think I'm gonna load it up right now and try it out again. I haven't played Just Bring It since Shut Your Mouth came out.
One thing that always bugged me about one of the 2K stunners was how his left leg would wiggle before he drops. All the Stunners looked really stiff in 2K. Austin was very fluid and the Smackdown/GameCube games captured that.
I had WWF Warzone for the PS1. It came with the system and man I loved that game. I remember I had an apponent so beat that they went into stun jumping off the ring onto the floor, lol. I wanted to see how far I could take them.
9:49- Lol I remember that one! The head thing is kinda funny. But they put it in because around the time they were making this game Stone Cold did that twice (and yes, that exaggerated) and for some odd reason whoever decided to put that in for him, like he did it all the time! Lol
Hulk Hogan with the "doesn't work for me brother" no selling them stunners 😂
And his foot under the bottom rope when he got pinned.
Hogan was an ego maniac, especially in WCW. I am still mad he didn't put Sting over in Starrcade.
The fact that his foot was under the rope when he got pinned too was accurate af to make it look like he didn't get beat clean 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
