I’m not sure if Paul Heyman was really in on it, but based on his reaction during the segment, it looked like he was. Brock was the only one who didn’t know about it, and he ended up breaking character and laughing for real. In the words he said to close the segment: “das what’s up”

Crazy wrestling matches and raw and smack down matches back in the 2000s to early 2010s were watchable it was like every raw had something special cena matches on a random raw and smack down just proves why he the goat.
Personally, I'm all for breaking character to congratulate your opponent after a match. It has a nice message of always being a good competitor and implies that no matter what, everyone has an inherent level of respect for one another as a wrestler
