Hi friends! Here is an easy one row repeat that can be worked continuously until you reach your desired size. This is a really fun one and if you avoid color changes because of the tails, I have a solution for you! But of course, this would be ideal for a color changing yarn as well. I hope you enjoy the video. xx
I never knew how to make this stitch. Thank you for showing us! A HDC is my favorite stitch as far as basic stitches go. Also, Roz, I do like the magic knot! I'll try it. This is a great video. Thank you. ~ Joan💖

I love this pattern SO much- could/would you be able to do this stitch as a rectangle? As in, a blanket. Thank you for your quality tutorials. Yours are my favorite on YT.
Hi Karen . I will add to the list BUT if you’re wanting to try it now, I would recommend that you use the moss stitch rectangle as your guide. Now I do skip every other chain in that one which you wouldn’t need to do. However, I would do the corners the same way that you see in that video. I hope that she’s sense. But I’ll definitely add to the list to make a video- great idea 💕
Thank you for the tutorial. I really like this stitch, so I will definately try. Do you think it would be hard to make a rectangle in stead of a square? I'll have to check if I can figure that out, if not I will make 6 large squares and join them 🤷🏼♀️
I need to try figuring that out too. You might be able to do more stitches on 2 of the sides in the first round which might help it give more of a rectangle shape. Often it’s done by starting with a chain with 2 corners built on either side of the chain (check out my video on granny squares/rectangles to infinity) so there might be a way to do it like that. I’ll play with it but yes putting 2 squares together is a lovely idea. 💕
Absolutely! I think I might make a tutorial for this because you’re the second person that asked this week. But yes , you use the moss stitch rectangle as your guide 💕
Hi Dawn , No, a Russian join won’t work with that yarn because it doesn’t have plies that you can weave through. However , it does have little strings in the center, so you can remove the yarn about an inch on both ends you want to join and tie those strings together. Which pattern are you wanting? I’m in the process of writing patterns now but I’m not sure which one your asking about since you asked about Bernat blanket yarn 💕

Definitely want to give this a try. Thank you for your tutorial. Love the part about the cat hair, I have that same issue. Lol
Oh boy , there’s just no avoiding it, is there 😹😺🧶❤️
Hi, i really love this pattern. Can this be made into a rectangle like the moss stitch? Your videos are awesome.!!😊

Will a russian not work with B Bernat blanket yarn? Also do you have a written pattern I can buy. Thank you so much
Hi Dawn ,

Could you explain why you couldn't use a double crochet for this herringbone pattern you mentioned at the beginning of the video?
I couldn’t get it to look good working in this format of a square. I’d recommend you give it a go , though. You might find a solution 💕
I've always used a drop of fray check on the knot and it does not come out...even with washing...
Great tip , thank you for sharing ! 💕
I love the remove the cat hair!! 😂 my case its remove either mine or my son’s!! (His hair is very very very long!)❤❤

TY FOR THE NICE PATTERN, IS YOUR CATS PLAYING WITH BOXES.
Probably - they play with everything 😅😂💕
This is a very interesting pattern. But I can see myself forget what I’m doing and do a row of DS.
Your magic knot - you need to have longer tails to work with, in my opinion.
I haven’t had issues but definitely do what works best for you, always 👍🏻💕
Lol remove the cat hair
