I did the rectangle project I used three strands of yarn white black and blue pink and green colors. It turned out awesome. I am going to use it as my coffee cup blanket. It's very colorful and the color changes since I made the yarn variegated. The texture is like a rug.

Such a great video. Very much needed. Sometimes i think designers want to hold on to their "border magic" and never reveal them. Yes, the slip stitch around first gives your project and extra touch. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤

    Hi Roz
First, your cat is so cute. I love a baby yelling or talking and the cat playing or a dog if people have one in the videos. It's real life. 😊❤
I love your videos Roz. I learn something new from every one of them. Even if I know how to do what you are showing, you always show an easier way. I watch your videos over and over again just to relax. I love crocheting but sometimes I can't. My pain is too bad so I watch your videos. I have saved every one of them. I so loo forward to seeing the notification pop up.
I am obsessed with granny squares I want to make a very large blanket with different size squares, rows, rows around squares etc.
Do you think you will ever do a CAL?
    Maybe this summer?
You are such a fantastic teacher. You have such the perfect voice too! 😁

I like all of these border stiches. I think it's because I like simple borders that don't "take over" the main piece. I have been using your zig zag stich on a lot of my projects, Roz. That's a very eye appealing border. The crab stich is a favorite but I have always had complications with finishing it off. I'll try your method. I've never done the spider stich so I'll make up a small piece to give it a try. This video is saved and will be used often by me. Super video!!!💖~Joan~

No - I love the clover hooks just as much as the tulip brand . Neither have disappointed me 👏🏻💕

Do you go down a hook size for the borders?

    • @PlayHookywithMe
      @PlayHookywithMe  10 месяцев назад

Not unless the project got too wavy and I'm trying to tighten it up. It really depends on the border....i often go up in hook size if it's made with tight stitches. xx

    Hello, New here😊
I have question, after doing a spider border on all my squares, can I still join them all into a blanket? Im new to crocheting as well.
    Thank You
    P.S. Biscuit is adorable 😊

This one would be hard to add to squares and then join. I’d recommend you use it as your border after you’ve joined all your squares together. 💕

I wanted to tell you that you help in so many ways. Not just crocheting the pattern. I explain how to find the gear on the computer , because you talk and crochet very fast i slower you down to about half. (! 5:29 You do slur your words lol)

I’m confused. I slur my words when you slow me down or in general?

I was wondering if u our would maybe do some yarn reviews . I can not physically go to the stores. So, I depend on my RUclips friends.
If you could pick yarns you love and pass on why you love it. And it's so frustrating to place an order and be disappointed in the weight or drape.
I think you asked about giving you ideas. Right? Lol. 😅

I ALWAYS have a problem when it comes to boarders. I NEVER EVER know what boarder to do, it doesn't matter what crochet project im doing. I wish i had a "go to" boarder. My crab stitch never looks right, but going up a hook size and not yarning over may help. But i like the imitation crab stitch. Thank you for this tutorial!!!!!!
