Great advice. People like to hate on Dave, but my wife and I just used our part-time wedding photography business to pay off our mortgage. There is so much more flexibility and we can really focus on filtering our clients more now.
How old are you Luke? Proud of you! I read Money Matters this year, and at my age now (33) I have no debt…but I also just have this overwhelming feeling of being “behind” in my finances. I’ve essentially moved to an “all cash” mindset, but I also have essentially no savings. I got my $2,000 “safety net”, but it’s been hard to get beyond that. My DREAM is getting a nice, NEW mirrorless camera. (Would love a Nikon ZF) but I just can never justify dropping $2500+ on something that is still just a hobby. It feels almost impossible for me as a “normal” person to drop that much. This was a good video though. Motivated me to get back on track.
I grew up with these values too, stay out of debt! So important to reduce stress. Very good advice! Also You don’t get wealthy if you spend all your money as soon as you get it.
I'm doing a Roast & Toast episode - you can send your website to be considered at hellolukecleland@gmail.com Otherwise I do 1:1 coaching which you can find on my website lukecleland.ca

So true!!
How do you owe to the IRS if you live and work in Canada? Are you American? Just curious.
I'm Canadian, but went to university in the US and worked there afterwards.
How do I submit my website to be reviewed?
