I love it when you sisters get together... even if you are not physically together. Love to see more. Thank you Diana for bringing faith into your channel.
I’ve been watching Dawn for so long that I can hear in my head what she’s going to say before she says it 😊 Just donate it , Diana. Just donate it. Love you both, so much. ❤
Diana, Your prayers always make me cry! Thank you for always remembering the sick. So few people do, and it’s deeply touching that you regularly bring them before the Father ❤ Thank you
The best thing I ever heard on Dawn's channels was that holding on to something just because of how much you spent on it, won't put the money back in your packet. It COMPLETELY shifted my mindset! Forgive yourself and let it go! I try to think about donating as blessing others
Great work along video. I am 73 and retired 10 yrs. ago. I had a hard time getting rid of my professional teacher clothing. After three yrs and 6 seasonal clean outs of my walk in closet, I am almost there. We are daughters of the King and we do deserve peace of mind and nice clothing. Peace.
The blues that you put up to your face make you POP! You are letting all the blues go and keeping all the reds. The reds are very sharp for your tone. The purple you got rid of is the same, brings out your undertones, beautiful. I suggest getting your colors done. My Color Guru was a saving grace for me. Love you ladies!
Omg! Yes! I don’t have to be a hero as I declutter and get rid of stuff! That is so me.. every thing I have needs to go to someone who needs it!! Thanks for that Dawn!!
I really appreciate the honesty y’all have about why you’ve chosen to keep certain things, even if you know it’s just not right for you, specifically with colors. One thing I decided to invest some time into so I didn’t have to deal with buying things that just aren’t the right colors for me, is figuring out what my color season is, which goes deeper than if you have a cool or warm undertone. They have people you can go to that can do a color test on you to help you know for certain which colors are your very best, but they are very expensive in my opinion, and it’s money I don’t currently have. Some people find the cost worth it though because in the long run it saves them from buy clothing that is just the wrong color. What I did is stand in front of a well lit window and put stark white next to my face, and then cream next to my face, and figure out which looked better. For me it was cream. Then compared silver and gold next to my face. Gold looked better. So I figured out I was warm undertone. Then I went through my closet and got all the warm colored clothing out and figured out which was spring colors, and which was autumn, and compared them on myself. For me, I felt autumn colors looked better. I’m pretty sure I’m an autumn. I only share all this because I found it so helpful to go into the store and automatically know that cool colors wash me out, and make me look sickly, so I can avoid them all together. I hope someone else finds this helpful too!
"It's been time-will-telled." Love it. Yes, my husband always wants to find someone to give our stuff to. I'm like, I don't want this so why should I expect someone else to want it? Good to see you two. Hope Spring reaches you all soon!
I am taking a deep breath, have spent 4 days in meditation, and plan that MAYBE I’ll tackle my *closets* next week! I have a 3 br home and every closet is full of my clothes!!!! And one closet Is a walk in!!!! And you can’t see the floor!
Remember you can feel good about donating the items you spent money on because not only are you keeping the thrift store workers in a job, you are helping stay at home moms like me who try to resell things to help for our families ❤ I would love coming across those items at a thrift store! Thank you for the sentiments. I’m in Wisconsin so I hear you about being ready for winter to be done 😂
Oh we are so tierd of Winther and snow here in Arctic Norway too and it is a hole month until it hpoefuly🙏 will change. Liked the part about focusing on God 🙏 Thank you 🙏 lots of love from arctic Norrway 😍🙌🌻🏵🌼🌹🌺
That wine-colored top with the lace was gorgeous on you! I feel your pain about the blazers, though; I also have aspirational blazers/professional clothes. I work from home now, so I never really need grown-up suits.
Yes!! Yes!! Keeping my eyes on things above!! I don’t need the weight of the inventory!! I AM the daughter of The King! Praise him! 🙏🏾 Love you gals! ❤
Conversation like these are so valuable and listening to the thought process makes it so real… we all need that someone in our life to tell us it’s not flattering on you
This hit home with me! I’m throwing things away or donating what i have kept because it is something useful…only to have it sit around my house collecting dust for weeks, months, even years. Thank you both for keeping getting rid of things simple! 💕 and Happy Spring Cleaning!
I just recently got rid of probably 2/3's or more of my clothes and my husbands clothes. In bags and off to Goodwill! We are retired and didn"t wear most of it. Our closet is now half empty!
Dianna, listen to Dawn! She knows what she is talking about! Its ok to donate the whole bin if you have not gone looking for those sweaters all winter. Love you both!
Diana, you should get your color analyzed. You're probably a spring or a summer, and certain colors look absolutely amazing on you. Others, not so much. Those neutrals (beige, tan, gray) wash you out! Jewel tones and pastels look really great on you, at least certain ones.
This week my husband and I are deep cleaning one room a day in our condo in FL. We go home in April and don't want to leave it until our last week. When we return to PA we will be doing a major declutter to start the adventure of downsizing our townhouse to a condo.
Diana, I love the shirt that you’re wearing the black-and-white one. Can you put a link to where you got it? Thanks for all your honesty and encouraging conversation with. Thank you for all honesty and encouraging conversation with Dawn.❤
Such a helpful conversation! The thing that shines as I watch you and Dawn is not your clothes, which are just outer coverings, but your love of Jesus emanating from deep within. Formation of our character is so much more important than spending time focusing on what we wear. Thank you for the reminder!!😊 (And Diana, have you noticed how much you seem to love checked fabric?)
My husband and I cleaned out and declutterd our garage...it feels amazing. Also I posted and gave several items on our local but nothing FB group. It felt so nice to pass things on to people that had a need.
Love the conversation between you too. It always makes me laugh some of the comments you guys make (Dawn re: Diana's blue and white stripped jacket lol). Love you guys and really enjoy watching you every week.
We have a place that can be set up for a clothing swap every year. We have a couple days set aside - and everyone can take anything they will use - then the rest is taken to a charity. Several churches are involved and we have a great turnout. Some have several children and can save bundles - maternity clothes, etc. We have a large size woman section - a full basement of children's clothing. Volunteers sort the sizes - everyone loves it.
Thank you so much for praying for the prodigals. I wasn’t expecting that at the end and it made me tear up. It is a hard thing to watch your children turn away from God. Watching down the lane…
Today I’m decluttering 8:14 my kitchen linens shelf. Lolol I found a dvd player, 2 elec strips and THREE TIBES OF CAULK! Lolol and I haven’t been totally metamorphasized yet.. I WANT THOSE CLOTHES SHES DONATING!!!! Lolol
I love you two! What a blessing in so many ways. I nodded in agreement as you went through that seasonal box and chuckled with your omission while hiding the cooler. Glad it wasn’t a casualty of the declutter war. But boy oh boy. Your prayer at the end sister brought me to tears. My body is fighting illness right now and, while I know in the scheme of things people are struggling with so much, my husband and I are leaving Saturday morning for a much needed respite. Thank you for the healing prayers and for our prodigals. May the goodness of God overflow on each person who listens to that prayer. God bless you both and your families.
I live in Minnesota also and in trying on items I have come to the conclusion that I bought a lot of fleece or fluffy oversized tops that do not flatter me. I also realize I don’t like patterns anymore unless they are really small patterns . I’m going to get rid of them all! This video has been helpful with the guilt of keeping things that hey- I spent good money on that, or - but it’s still got tags and nearly new.😢 It’s hard to let go of the things that I had hoped to fit into by now as well. The struggle is real but this is my second closest decluttering and it’s getting easier.
I think why we buy fleece and fluffy tops is because we live in Minnesota where it's cold and winter for practical half of the year. Those tops feel good...though they may not look good on us. 😉
This is the most twinning video yet! You and Dawn are such different individuals, this is the first time I thought wow, you really are identical twins! 💖💖
You two are wonderful and you sound like my mom and aunt (twin sisters). I have been laughing and laughing when I listen to the two of you talking through Diana's clothing. Diana.. play this back and listen and watch Dawn's critique of your navy stripe jacket and watch your reaction.. I totally understand about letting go of professional clothing. I previously wore suits (with skirts)... I am talking Lehman brothers clothing. When I changed careers and no longer needed suits.. I kept them in my closet for Years !! It took forever to be able to let them go because of the money I paid for them. I donated them to a charity that clothed women who were entering professional careers but did not have the funds to purchase the clothes needed. The suits were classics and current so the charity was very happy to offer the (many) suits to the women. I, too, live in Minnesota and the Spring declutter is a real thing. This video is an encouragement to sort my closet. Thanks.
I do need dawn and the way she is like donate it, can I vote on this 😂 etc. but I so relate to Diana! When she said I paid money for this LOL. Or when she said this will be easy but okay let me tell you why it’s hard 😂
This is an awesome video. It reminded me of the time that my very careful brother cut into the upper part of his leg with a skil saw by accident. He needed some one to drive him to the ER for stitches! I understand that urge when spring comes, you just want to get rid of everything that hinders you from getting out side.
I just read 1 Timothy 1 last night at my weekly dinner and Bible study, and the Local Church as a whole is starting the Life Study of 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus and Philemon too. What timing. Just subscribed to your podcast channel. God bless you!🤍
So loved this video of you two. I was in the midst of cleaning out a dresser drawer. The scripture verses are so encouraging. Thank you Diana and Dawn.
😃 Now this is true body doubling.......
Good one!
If we do it with them it’s Body TRIPLING!!!😮
Haha, body twinning!
😂
Let’s all body triple together!! 🙌
Body twinning 🤣
Got to love the way sisters are with each other. So much love they can be brutally honest in a kind way.❤😂
I love it when you sisters get together... even if you are not physically together. Love to see more. Thank you Diana for bringing faith into your channel.
Yes love love the faith aspect. And love seeing the ladies together. Such a cool relationship. Feels like when I’m with my sisters.
Diana's shock when Dawn mentioned getting rid of the bin unopened. 🤣
That was SO FUNNY! I couldn't possibly. I would have to open it!
I’ve been watching Dawn for so long that I can hear in my head what she’s going to say before she says it 😊 Just donate it , Diana. Just donate it. Love you both, so much. ❤
So true I can’t even imagine how she doesn’t know her default is “Donate” 😂😂
Haha, so many of Dawn’s disciples watching and thinking “let it go! Just let it go!” 😂
@@DianaKokku that’s exactly what I was thinking 😂. Dawn has trained us well
Diana, Your prayers always make me cry! Thank you for always remembering the sick. So few people do, and it’s deeply touching that you regularly bring them before the Father ❤ Thank you

I add on her other truth: You lost the money when you spent it, not when you ditch it.
Sunk cost.
It feels so good to donate! Weight lifted every time
"I am the daughter of the King." That hits home. Love you two together!
The purple shirt looked beautiful on you.
I absolutely love this video. It’s like I’m hanging out with y’all while she’s decluttering your closet. Do more of these I love it.
That blue sweater looks great with your skintone!
Awesome! Thank you for sharing Scripture truth!
I also put my holiday tops in with my Christmas decor. When the court comes out so do the tops 🎅
I love the big caramel colored fuzzy top! It looks SO WARM! I'll take comfort over fashion any day! 😉
Same!
Love to see you two in person decluttering ♥️♥️
I started putting Christmas sweaters in with Christmas decorations!
Peace.
I’m glad you can relate on the past professional clothing… it’s a big change!! Blessings + love 💛☺️
I love the idea of Dawn's daughter choosing from that sweet pile of her aunt's clothes.
Thank you so much for praying for the prodigals and calling them home!! I’m going to be praying that prayer for those prodigals in my life!!
A M E N !
Do a deep work Lord!
Bring them home dear Jesus!
💛💛💛
Amen!! 🥹💔+✝️=❤️🩹+😇=💝
Love the eggplant colored top with the lace on you. Good winter color.

I'm not religious in the slightest but that was a truly lovely prayer at the end, you and Dawn are so lovely.
Keep the gray & white flannel as well!! A good color for you!!😉♥️
The ending of this video with the beautiful scenery and Diana praying... breathtaking! ❤

Hadn't thought to pray for prodigals. Thanks for praying and sharing your clothing declutter.
Also this past Thursday I helped my 94 year old Mom declutter and work on her pictures- Success ❤️
Bet that wasn't easy 😳

I walk around this bin everyday! I packed it 6+ months ago when we redid our floors. I keep ignoring it. Today is the day!

I'll be at the conference in Salisbury!
Love the sister dynamic! Last summer, my sister and I de-cluttered our mom's house to put up it up for sale. It's good to have a "partner-in-grime"!
Love a good clothing declutter! Just filmed one of these earlier this week and got rid of over 100 items. So inspired by you two. ✨️
I had dust on some of my clothes and that's when I realized I needed to get rid of them.
But the purple/burgundy lace blouse is beautiful on you! Keep it! 😅
Thanks for coming to MD!!
