I am now 60 years old. I have 3 wonderful children. Everyday is Mother's Day to me. I don't want gifts. I just want to know that my children love the Lord, love their families, and love each other. I am so honored and blessed to have such great kids. Are we perfect? No. We still make mistakes. We acknowledge we are imperfect beings. I am at a season in my life, and have been for a while now, that material gifts are just not as important to me. Also, I have been on my decluttering journey for just over a year now and so "things" are not as important. So for you young mom's out there feeling so overwhelmed...hang in there. Try to remember that your "gift" is those beautiful people you have been chosen to raise and love. You are doing an amazing job. Even if no one else sees your struggle, your needs, the desires in your heart, God does and He will bless you. Just trust the process.
Perfectly said. I am turning 60 this year. Knowing that your child loves the Lord is a gift everyday. Keep God in all things as you are raising them and pray for them. The years really do go by quickly and they are looking/listening to you as their Mom/example.
Yes! Perfectly said! I'm 57 yrs old and feel the same way. One thing that doesn't cost a penny but is worth more than any purchase is to tell your mom "you taught me______and ______.I'm so Thankful that God gave me you as a mom." That statement would leave me crying because all mom's try their very best. We are not perfect but we love our adult kids as much as our adult kids love their own children (our grandchildren.)❤
I assure you, the person providing for your life, your children's lives ... feels overwhelming pressure as well. You're a team. Each of you will feel that at times.
Charis, I understand. I was a SAHM to four and had three in diapers at once. The world tells you how you should soak n these moments and revel in them but it. Is. Hard. It is physically exhausting. Mentally taxing. Emotionally draining. The need need need is never ending. As soon as you clean up breakfast they need a snack. I just remember thinking “I want to use my brain for something beyond how long has it been since O changed a diaper or is it time to feed them again”. Yes you love cherish and adore your kids but being a SAHM is isolating and it drains everything in you. I remember calling my husband at work one day and he picked up even though he was just finishing a conversation with a coworker. They were both so light hearted. They were laughing. And I just started to cry. I was so lonely. I had no adult conversation. And my whole life was about what I could give. Yes your spouse is working to pay the bills but she/he has the luxury of 10 hours of uninterrupted thoughts. Uninterrupted work where he doesn’t have to play referee or solve a kid crisis. It’s a gift that he definitely gets that SAHM don’t. I’m here if you need an ear. ❤
Stay at Home Homeschooling Mom of 7 (ages 2-19). Several years ago, I decided to take Mother’s Day into my own hands, and I have never looked back. I schedule my own spa day, I go get a pedicure, I grab lunch, I go get an iced coffee and maybe head to Target. I leave the house for the whole day and I don’t feel any guilt. I plan my own special day and I don’t bother my husband or the kids with any of the details. Sometimes that’s my only day off for the year and I need it for my sanity.
I am that mom today. 😢 I am in my 40s with kids under 10 and struggling mentally, emotionally and physically. Thank you for your channel and for always being supportive and encouraging. I especially enjoy praying with you at the end of your videos. God bless you!
We are not able to do it all whether we are stay at home moms or working outside of the home. Our children cannot and should not have so many activities to overwhelm them. Really look at your schedule and perhaps pare back on the activities and focus on the priorities. It does help.
If there are any moms out there who are not sure how to make new friends, I highly suggest the library! If you are able to attend any of the storytime activities consistently, you may find other SAHM who are also searching for friendships. It might take a while, but that is how I found other moms with kids the same age as mine.
Also, as soon as your kids start school, walk your child to school and volunteer in the classroom and you will meet other parents and make friends and playmates for your child. You can start walking for fun "the long way home"with other parents and other new opportunities to socialize.
@@debralynnbailey6527 I would also look into what programs your library offers. I know my local library has seminars, workshops, and events for people of all ages with all different interests. I hope that helps!!

This year I ‘assigned’ gifts😉. My 21 yr olds some will replace my light switches, outlets, etc. to white👏👏. My 23 yr old daughter is artsy so she’s painting me a verse with flowers. My oldest daughter is buying a pair of earrings I picked out. This way they won’t spend to much money and I get what I need/want. I have to say I have super kids🎉🎉. Thanks, ladies for another great video❤❤❤❤
I love on young mamas every chance I get, pray over them, encourage them, take a meal, but I can do more. And some of these mama's are caregivers for their parents too! Thank you so much for this message. Some of these dear ones don't have their mama's to help out anymore. So many women hurting, widows, those estranged from family, the list goes on. I try to reach out to someone everday, a card in mail, text, phone call....something. On a lighter note........started buying my own birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day gifts years ago. I show it to my husband and say, "Look at this awesome, fill in the blank, you got me for, fill in the blank." He replies, "Great, I did good!" Just another way to make life easier :)
Mom's need to say no more! No to activities that society says we need to do for our kids. Every little school thing, sport thing, extended family thing, even church things. Most activities are good but should never be put above your family. I am a Mom of 7 and my husband and I pulled kids out of activities and focused on slowing our life down about 10 years ago. The best thing we ever did for our family!
Yes!!! We are a no activity kind of family. Instead we stay home, ride bikes or play board games. If our son wants to play basketball, he can play with the neighborhood kids and it's free.
This!! Everyone talks about how moms need friends too…I have four kids and a husband and I’m working part time from home. Three of my kids are home. Two have speech two times a week for 30 min. I have to drive 20 min there and back to get my daughter from school everyday. I don’t feel like I have time for friends at this period in life. I have a few great women in my life but I really don’t feel like I have time to spend hours hanging out.
So true about we think we are alone…I learned that I wasn’t alone when I found Diane in Denmark, Dawn, Clutterbug, etc. Completely agree about praying too.
Yes! Yes! I'm a SAHM with 5 kids age from 13 to 5. I'm so tired all the time. I get 8 hours of sleep a night and I'm just so extremely tired and worn out. Thank you for sharing this video.
Father, I pray for all these beautiful young women, who are doing the most important job in the world, raising children, in these very difficult times. Bless their hearts and their minds with peace and joy, and show them how very valuable they are, how very needed they are, how very important they are, and mostly how very loved they are by You. In Jesus name. Amen
This is very timely, my granddaughter had her first child (after several years of not being able to carry a baby) little tiny Aubrey is in the NICU she was 2lbs 9 Oz four weeks ago and she now weighs 4lbs 7oz. My granddaughter spends her days at the hospital and stresses when she has to go home at night, her husband is such a blessing and so very sportive and spends the day with her he can do some work from the hospital or he is on the computer at night. We are trying to figure out how to best help them and right now it seems like meals are what they need. We are hoping little Aubrey will be home by Mothers Day🙏🏻 So this message truly hit home, thank you both.
I relate so to your granddaughter's stress as my first child weighed 2Lb. 11 oz. She is now 46 and such a blessing. it helps to have a supportive hubby.
I’m not a mom. But I’m a wife. My husband just had major heart surgery. So I Am a caregiver. So much of this hits close to my heart today. I am so very very grateful for my friends and family who have lifted us up in prayer, and reached out to meet any need we might have. In my adult life, I have tried to be that friend as well. I hope I have, and I think I have, helped and encouraged my friends and family. We truly do need community. Even tho I don’t have kids, you always speak to something I am going thru. You ARE a pastor. You teach me about biblical times and things I never thought or knew about as to what life was like then. You minister to my heart aches, my physical aches, my feelings of inadequacy. You pray for me and with me. I’m so thankful to have found you.❤️🙏🏻❤️
This is all amazing validation and advice. Humans need a village and it's so sad that our communities don't foster that anymore. It's so important that people try to find a modern version of it instead of shutting in alone with the stress!
Love you both💕. I watch all your videos, but I couldn’t watch your last video on gifts for mom. I’ve lost my mom, we were so close, my boys are late teens and living their own lives, so hard also because they have strayed from our church. It’s to be expected, but sad 😔
I was ordering gifts for my mom and daughter and my husband asked me if I wanted to order one for myself? I said, "Sure I do!". So, instead of him getting me one, he told me to go ahead and order one for myself. 😊
I relate to this so much working full time with two small kiddos and managing the household and keeping on top of all the things makes me feel so exhausted & burnout 😫. Being a wife and momma is my greatest joy but life always feels busy and I just want slow and simple 💛
Oh my. Just ordered some beautiful things from tradesofhope … earrings, throw, necklace, mug, dish, charm, body butter … thank you for showing us this lovely source of lovely things
Thank you for sharing. I watched this wonderful video and then sent my daughters a prayer text. You both bring me such joy with the joyful spirit you each carry. You have such an impact on others by being willing to do what you do. I know we have no idea how much work goes into your channels, but I appreciate the sacrifice. Thank you again for being willing to serve and share the Lord with others. God bless you both! ❤
I'm so confused 😂😂! There is two of them. I thought I was going crazy lol. Are they twins ? How cool. I have just started watching Dawn's channel. Will have to subscribe to her sisters now also ❤😊
Sadly there are just as many grandparents raising children as there are parents. My husband and I are in that situation, raising three grandchildren between 10-13! He’s retired now and I’m in my late fifties. We know exactly what you are talking about. I have thought these same thoughts you are referring to. And then we all have to deal with the enemy influencing our culture, schools, etc … I am exhausted just thinking about it 😝😉
Idt Dawn was criticizing herself or Diana, it was an observation & the realization that the necklace is not the best for them. I get the feeling from their posts that they both do love & accept themselves.
First, is that grass I see through the window behind you? A little jealous watching this video from northern MN while it snows outside! Another great prayer book is Praying the Bible by Donald Whitney, totally helped with my prayers and a very easy quick read. Definitely interested in your book recommendation today. Thank you for this video, spot on, it’s nice to feel seen and know that I’m not alone.
Beautiful prayer & content ! So important ! Ooooh Diana & Dawn , I acknowledge you ! You are both truly such wonderful mothers ! As is my darling daughter who loves her toddler daughter dearly , loves her job too but is exhausted from working full-time, managing all those things you bring up , losing sleep b/c her mind is racing , wanting more time with her daughter , nursing , & more ! I’m glad I’ll be going to see her in a few days ( she lives 3 hours away : no family around them) to help & lift her up ! Once I know where she will settle, I’ll move to where that is. But itz not time yet. Meanwhile, current sitch is barely sustainable. But happily , baby girl is loved , suuuuper well cared for & thriving. I can’t wait to see them very soon! My son & his g/f are joining us , too ! I hear ya about us older Moms with grown kids helping Mons ! Indeed !! So needed ! My main priority rn is that ( as well as keeping myself healthy & all that , so I have lots to give). God bless you ! Liz
You two are so fortunate to have each other. If you don’t have a friend, you have each other. I love you ladies and your channels, I feel like I’m with a friend when I watch you!
This is exactly what I needed to hear today. I'm a stay at home mom of three boys ages 4, 2 and 8 months. I hope to home school and have been following you guys for a while and have minimized a lot! You both have had such a great impact on my life, and therefore my family's life. I can't thank you enough. Your book is awesome too. My husband and I read it together before bed every night. But I feel so overwhelmed everyday feeling like I fall short everyday and I need to have more patience. It's a battle. But I love your videos and love how real you are. Thank you 😊
This year I will be taking my child to a birthday party on Mother’s Day, after a week of being on an extended family vacation at Disney world. Then the day after Mother’s Day, my maternity leave ends and I go back to work! When you have young children, Mother’s Day is not necessarily a restful day all about ME, but a reminder to myself of my hard work and growth 3 years into motherhood. I am grateful for the opportunity to travel, to give my children fun experiences, and to be able to provide for my family, even though it is exhausting!
@@susansmith493 I see how my comment can come off as complaining and entitled, but I’m trying to convey finding gratitude and positivity among a busy life with young kids. No pity party for me, I chose this life. What has gone so wrong with your life that you need to leave a patronizing response to a stranger?
Love you , Diana & Dawn ! About to watch now . Thank you for allll you’ve done for me over the years ! You’ve brightened my days, cheered me when I felt alone, inspired me to simplify & make noticeable progress … annnnd been a HUGE, undeniable , integral part in my growth as a Christian , closer walk with the Lord. You are such Faithful & CARING Servants , making a glorious difference !! Your love is real , & healing !! I love you ! Liz
I love your suggestions. I'm the older mom now (will be 74 a few days after Mother's Day) priorities are totally different and have been since I was in my 40's. The Jesus Listens sounds wonderful. I love my Jesus Calling and have given it as gifts. I'm still mentoring at least one mom. I think we older moms should come along side a younger/middle age mom. Due to some physical limitations, I don't get to join corporate worship and that saddens me, but I do get to watch via zoom so that helps. I'm also part of a special prayer group that the Lord is using and I'm so blessed by that. Amen to your prayer. Lord, give both of these young moms your strength to carry on and to raise godly children. Help them to model Jesus and Father, bring someone into Diana's life that will take the children for a bit so she can have a nap. We all need refreshing at one time or another. I thank you for it Lord, in the mighty name of Jesus.
My adult children always buy me daffodils as that’s what I love for Mother’s Day, they are not expensive but bring me so much joy. Mind you this year I ended up with 9 bunches 😂 but they filled my home with colour and fragrance, have a great weekend ladies xx
Thank you so much for this validating blessing. I’m beyond this stage, but I know how important this message is needed! I’ve shared it with my daughters and a friend. Thank you!
Marty Grisham of Loudmouth Prayer says that prayer can be both taught and caught (especially when praying with people who are ahead of you in their walk with Jesus, or listening to their prayers). My prayer life, as well as boldness to pray when people can hear me, is improving as I listen to his teachings. Just putting that out there! This video was like a breath of fresh air. Thanks for sowing into me and so many women, ladies! God bless you!
I agree my mum is precious to us it’s our time that we give her same for my kids I like them to want to spend the time with me just to be in my presence ❤❤❤that’s all you need
I like how you acknowledged that we're all awkward trying to make friends! I just got back from a home-makers club tonight and I totally felt awkward and uncomfortable and at the beginning just wanted to go home, but I know that it's a good group of faithful women looking to make community and build skills and that it will be worth it to stick around. Thanks for the encouragement!
Motherhood is exhausting. Physically, mentally, emotionally. Our lives and comfort levels are important, too. We have to be allowed to say "No" sometimes. Permission to have our own peace. That actually makes us better moms ❤❤
Yes, I feel it is important that our children see even as adults/mom's struggle and we can show them proper ways to vent and relax and rewind for a few minutes, that is healthy.
💜💜💜 thank you so much for today’s message! I feel so refreshed already. Very inspired to honour the moms in my life this Mother’s Day! Many blessings to you.
I love what you had to say Diana and Dawn. I had my first son in 1979 and did not have a landline phone. My son's father worked out of town. I was on my own with a baby with colic. I would have to take breaks in the bathroom to cry and pray for help. I would then get the strength to comfort my son. We made it thru but I understand being alone without support with a newborn. I love the charity you have for others. TFS 🙏
Last year my husband and I gave our mothers countertop mushroom grow kits from Mushroom Mountain. 😅 It sounds kind of funny, but it makes sense if you know our moms.
Thank you for reminding us about this!!!! I was just getting upset because I forgot to ask my daughter if she wanted to go to a dance clinic for today…buuut….I was happy that we finally had a non-busy Saturday that I forgot about the dance clinic.
I know it might seem little to you but I honestly love your gift ideas. I am the worst about gift giving. It does not come naturally to me at all. So I really appreciate your suggestions. Thank you.
Beautifully delivered - thank you! We need each other; we need connection. Love how the hormone discussion ties into a minimalist lifestyle - own a smaller home and connect more with your family. I would add that this also works when vacationing together (with immediate family and/or friends and neighbors). Finding friends can take time and effort, but just keep praying and pushing thru. You never know how a smile and "hello" in the post office line could lead to a fast friendship.
Dawn I love the suggestion of saying to your family that you need 10 minutes to be alone!!! Then you can come back in a better frame of mind!! I remember you saying a mom sets the tone for your household!!! We want to model to our kids the right attitude and one that they can walk out in the future and that is setting them up for success!!! Love you and Diana so much!!!!
Love this thank you! And love that we get to change the dynamics of our home and how it functions, so if we’re barely surviving then maybe the kids don’t need to be in so many sports, but I feel like our culture just prioritizes kids doing activities and then the moms are the ones who suffer.
Thank you for this encouragement❤and other moms on here, I totally hear you too!! I'm sahm and homeschool too. I so relate to feeling lonely; so hard to make friends.
Jennie Allen's book Find Your People is a really good Christian read/study about friendships and how we were made to live with the support of others. Your talk on friends made me think of it. 😊
Awwww💕 God bless you girls! Thanks for sharing your wisdom and encouragement for us, who are struggling to get all done (more if you are a trying to do your best, but it always seems like you can do better).
I, thankfully, found out early on, to not suffer in silence. We often don’t speak up because we don’t want to be perceived as complaining, etc. I found if I’d bring something up, not necessarily negatively, I’d find I’m not alone! That was so validating and comforting, and then we could brainstorm solutions

You and your husband are healed and free, I speak encouragement over you both, peace, life in Jesus mighty name. Hugs

You girls just make me smile, thank you!
Amen 🙏 I loved hearing this message ❤️ Thank you for sharing
I'm so confused 😂😂! There is two of them. I thought I was going crazy lol. Are they twins ? How cool. I have just started watching Dawn's channel. Will have to subscribe to her sisters now also ❤😊
They have to be identical right ?
Yes, identical twins.
I do pray for my husband, my kids, our cats, daily. It is so good to do and I know God hears me.
Thank you for praying at the end of your videos ❤️
Sadly there are just as many grandparents raising children as there are parents. My husband and I are in that situation, raising three grandchildren between 10-13! He’s retired now and I’m in my late fifties. We know exactly what you are talking about. I have thought these same thoughts you are referring to. And then we all have to deal with the enemy influencing our culture, schools, etc … I am exhausted just thinking about it 😝😉
This is a wonderful message, thank you for sharing. Being honest about how things are is so important, both with ourselves and the people around us.
Stop saying you are short or have short necks! You're perfect just like you are!!!
Idt Dawn was criticizing herself or Diana, it was an observation & the realization that the necklace is not the best for them. I get the feeling from their posts that they both do love & accept themselves.
Love the idea of Jesus listens. What a gorgeous gift for yourself or someone else❤
Thank you so much, I feel so seen right now ❤❤ you are both such beautiful souls!
Liz
What a beautiful message. As a mom of 3 small children this gave me so much hope and peace. Thank you both!
You two are so fortunate to have each other. If you don’t have a friend, you have each other. I love you ladies and your channels, I feel like I’m with a friend when I watch you!
😮😢🎉.
I am here being one of those moms.
Thank you 😊
Thank you for your encouragement! Single mom of two children with cerebral palsy.
Poor you
@@susansmith493 I see how my comment can come off as complaining and entitled, but I’m trying to convey finding gratitude and positivity among a busy life with young kids. No pity party for me, I chose this life. What has gone so wrong with your life that you need to leave a patronizing response to a stranger?
@@Minimadaa I meant it as an alliance. I feel your pain.
I bought one of the Jesus Listens for myself. It's an awesome book.
That was just beautiful! Thank you ladies.
Thank you ladies ❤ I love y’all so much! ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the Prayer Book recommendation, ordering this for sure!
Love.❤
Every Moment Holy prayer books are wonderful gifts! :) my daughter gave me one.
You both look great! Dawn looks great in pattern and color!! Diana, link to your shirt? It is so cute on you!
Thank you women need to hear this, message of hope and encouragement, they should not feel guilty for feeling overwhelmed!
Blessings upon Blessings to you for this video/message. This was/is the word for the season I am in currently! 😭🙏🏽💖
Love to you both!
TFS 🙏
Thank you so much for this ❤.
Last year my husband and I gave our mothers countertop mushroom grow kits from Mushroom Mountain. 😅 It sounds kind of funny, but it makes sense if you know our moms.
Dawn, love your top!
Thank you for reminding us about this!!!! I was just getting upset because I forgot to ask my daughter if she wanted to go to a dance clinic for today…buuut….I was happy that we finally had a non-busy Saturday that I forgot about the dance clinic.
You all have helped me so much over the years. I appreciate both of you ver much. ❤ Blessings upon blessings!
More Good Ideas. Another educational and encouraging video. Love you guys.
I know it might seem little to you but I honestly love your gift ideas. I am the worst about gift giving. It does not come naturally to me at all. So I really appreciate your suggestions. Thank you.

I really loved this! Thank you! ❤
Wonderful!
Needed this today.
Love you both. Beautiful message.
I have found so much connection with the small group I'm hosting with your book Decluttering by faith
I think a lot of our tiredness can come from worry and anxious thoughts too.
Thank you for that beautiful prayer. So many mamas need that including me ❤
God bless you and your families both!
Thanks to you both I just made a Mother’s Day date with my mom and sisters. ❤
Thank you for this encouragement❤and other moms on here, I totally hear you too!! I'm sahm and homeschool too. I so relate to feeling lonely; so hard to make friends.
You're so genuine😊🤗❤God bless you!
Yes...just yes
Happy Mother’s Day Dawn & Diana 🌸 🌺
Mother's Day is a hard time of year for me because my mom is a narcissist!!! Ugh. As always, you ladies are a blessing.
I don’t have small Children but still feel that way sometimes. Love watching you guys
I just watched Dawns video that you were on too.
New subscriber
It's fun to watch both of you
Jennie Allen's book Find Your People is a really good Christian read/study about friendships and how we were made to live with the support of others.
