You forgot to mention a HUGE plus…. On the other side of the complex is Kinneree Place. Literally across the street and Cat Flaps one block, the other side of Kinneree. Kinneree has the best draft Guinness in town and the food is awesome. Try the BBQ pork ribs, which are the best I’ve had, along with Carmine’s mother’s potato salad recipe. Good luck with everything!
WOW! A truly unbelievably perfect deal, been wanting to expatriate myself there since 2022 but couldn't convince the wife to leave the "kids" whom are all adults now. Wanted to make my inaugural visit in 2023, but again stymied by the wife who didn't want to even travel there with me. I told her I would be going without her next year and next year has arrived. I will be visiting Thailand for the entire month of October; having bought my ticket in January. A former neighbor and friend will be accompanying me. Wish I could take advantage of your deal. Howdy fro Austin, Tx. I remember when you first found and toured that house. It seems like just a a few months ago. Time flies. I hadn’t realized you had actually moved in. It’s a great deal and great location, lecture new digs down south by the beach.
Too bad I’m not yet in the position to move to Thailand or I would jump on this, but your channel demonstrates that such deals are still available in the area even now.

Very good deal and great position. I used to live in Soi 6 Pratumnak and would highly recommend the area. The traffic is awful but if you are happy limiting yourself to Soi 5 and the local beaches you can walk everywhere.

Very brief grieving Is normal. When my fiance sister died .. I only saw 2 or 3 hours of sadness. We live together, she Thai. Loved one born again elsewhere after week or 10 days

It does look like an excellent deal. We have some cats so living in a house is the only practical thing to do, but we are not at the point where we will be moving. I look for a long term lease over 2 years because moving is a major endeavor. I have been in pratumnak and some parts are good and other parts require a car to get anywhere. That part is the great unknown. Thanks for the video and the house tour. I just had a memory if your snakes.

I use the AC to cool the combined 2 person bedroom and office pretty much 24 hours per day, it's a large room.
My electric bill is about 6k baht per month.
He said there was to much traffic during high season and hard to get out of the area.

Looking for a place to rent in pattaya. Is like looking for snow in alaska during winter time.
The sad thing is someone like myself was able to purchase a home in america in a small city in america called Las Vegas. My monthly mortgage is now $415.00us and that includes property taxes and home owners insurance.
It's a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath and one car garage and it was completely redone. Now the cost of it to me was $82,000US and now it's worth $249,000us. It was one many of places. That I look at buying at that time.
i think at 50-60k you would have a hard time finding someone to rent it so keeping it at 20k the house will never be empty
Damn that looks like a hell of a find and you have so much room and those rooms are huge and then you have a private little backyard that's insane

Only thing annoyed me and 5k for extra person!!
I thought you wanted to move into this place due to the high elevation of the area of Pratumnak Hill, and that it never get flood during heavy rain especially the monsoon season.
I also buy water and ice from that same shop

Can't agree more, have been going to Thailand for the past 36 years (25 to pattaya). Spent all of April this year, and rode about 1000km around Pattaya in a month. NEVER experienced so much traffic . So good on you making the decision to move on.
Hahaha….. I don’t think anyone can beat that deal…. Last year I lived in pratumnak not far from you in a condo for 20k a month…..I would have a hard time leaving there….i understand the traffic there is terrible…. That’s why I moved too….

Precisely why I chose Huai Yai. 20m from Pattaya, but far enough to get away from the motorbikes, busses etc. hell, I have cows walking down the road daily lol

Any furnishing staying?
Just a random question from your experience and research. Do you think a owner of such a large home/property in Thailand would allow a non full time resident leasee to sublet the property/rent via Airbnb when not present in country, with the landlord managing/servicing the property for short time renters and being paid some extra amount for doing so in your absence. That is; you as the renter still pay the full monthly rent, but split the short term rental income for that extra service with the landlord while you reside in your home country.
Anyone here on the vlog had any such experience? Positive or negative?
Why don't you carry on the lease, get permission to sub-let, and run a furnished holiday let?
You would have a massive potential clientele and a business that runs a tidy profit. Just a thought 🤔.
