I am so glad that I discovered your channel. I must admit that you have one of the best ADV rides and video quality out there. Love your Beer and gear reviews and the way you present and describe the products. Hope we meet on the road sometime........be safe. Cheers
Great video... some day I hope to have opportunity to get my AT into that kind of terrain... but for now I will stay out here in Oregon ... thanks for sharing your experience..
Amazing location for a ride. I had to kill the sound as the music was so wrong, but man what an adventure. I'll have to head there as soon as my 2020 Africa Twin arrives. That ride would be a cakewalk on a 250 CRF but on a 1000cc AT. Impressive!
Yeah sorry about the music. that video is a little old and my editing has gotten better. Check out this video as well. The UTAH BDR includes this section plus much more.ruclips.net/video/qU0ArouDILg/видео.html
excellent video...I love to ride out there and I did the white Rim two years ago on the DCT....It is a hwy compared to your road here....Watch you feet.....million ways for you to wrap them around the pegs and that hurts...
Thumbs up to the guys on the large displacement bikes! Will round 3 be with panniers? Was that a 1290 that screwed that guy into the ground? Reminded me of my old XR-400. Those 1290's are off road in name only...
I think there is a bit of a perception that 450+ lbs bikes just can't get through the rough stuff... It's great to see videos like this because it shows that in reality the big bikes, with a confident rider are just as capable.
Like all your videos keep up the good work. I have a atas keep having fork seal problems replaced first set at 650 miles under warranty leaking again at 3500 miles wandering if you have had any problems
Great video. Can you provide a list of what Moab trails you rode on ur AT that you believe are easily doable on a big adventure bike? I am planning a trip to Moab and plan to ride my 1090r. Thx
Great vid man! I just got back from valley of the gods south of that lockhart which was awesome! So did you guys go north to south and end up near monticello? I am going to hit the lockhart solo to wrap up that part of Utah Bdr until the snow melts in the northern part. I was going to do lockhart last weekend but the temps were bit low so I need to head back and tackle the expert trail =)
South to north is doable solo maybe, but there is one section north to south that could be hard solo. I’ve done it a few time and sometimes it’s not so bad, but still a challenge for sure. It just depends on how much it had changes. I’d be really careful going by yourself either direction though. Sounds like you are crazy like me and obviously I’ve done it, but if something would have gone bad it might be a long time before someone comes across you. That being said this is an old video. Check out my newer UTAH BDR video for a better idea of the of the section I’m talking about. It’s just south of the chicken corners cut off. ruclips.net/video/qU0ArouDILg/видео.html
@@backcountryadvmoto Thanks man, I appreciate the info and concern! I am on a 701 so it is bit easier for me to do it than on the twin simply weight and such but still I hear you about solo adventuring. I tend to ride solo quite a bit but not always so I have the garmin in reach as well just for the solo rides. I liked the video and will check out your newer one! I did half the Idaho BDR last year coolest week of my life that place was amazing and so remote. Then in December did 3/4 Arizona BDR until it hit 27 degrees and headed back home to utah lol. Looks like you are having some great adventures keep sharing them. And seriously thanks for the advice Cheers!
@@2wheelsandatent AWESOME. If you are back in the Idaho area hit me up. Im in north Idaho and plan on doing the full BDR again in July. Im actually thinking about hitting the AZ BDR in a few weeks. Im going pretty stir crazy here and need to get lost for a while. Good luck and thats for watching. If you haven't yet, smash that subscribe button so you know when the new videos are released. Im putting out 2 a week right now so lots of new content
@@backcountryadvmoto I am sub D =) and yes I plan to try to do the Idaho BDR EVERY year if i can that literally changed my life view last year! Have a blast in AZ, I am hitting the CO BDR hopefully in July if i can get back to work and things settle down a bit. Thanks again it is always awesome to get some perspective from someone who has done what I want to do and especially one who gets that sometimes we gotta be crazy and fly solo haha
Thanks. Background Music is a fine line between entertaining a annoying. I tried to make the volume low so it wasn’t distracting. Sorry you didn’t care for it.
@@backcountryadvmoto Most of us would rather listen to the engine or your comments. But the volume is low enough that we can still hear the engine. So, no worries there for me. Cheers
Assuming that stone dwelling had some historical value and to see you just ride through on a motorcycle reminds me seeing spray paint graffiti in the cliff dwellings - excellent canyon ride though
Hey thanks for the comment. No it actually doesn’t. It is a area right off the road where it was built about 20years ago by a few guys during a “burning man” kind of event. It has no historical values what so ever. I just want to be clear that I have been to this area many times and know the history of this area, and would never do anything to destroy anything that would potentially ruin it for someone else or that would be culturally or socially unacceptable. Thanks for watching. Looking back at this video it’s nice to see how much better my videos have gotten. Thanks for watching
Alex Trajano thanks for watching. Yeah the music is rough sorry about that. I’ve learned my lesson about adding music. You’ll notice my new stuff is better. Check out this new playlist Great Pacific divide m.ruclips.net/p/PLp7Sy-ps-0ab1_hlQPEIoZSJNytlL5H-f
Incredible scenery , fantastic camera work and riding . Definitely on my bucket list . Thanks love the series
Glad you enjoyed it! Check out my other video of that same ride ruclips.net/video/qU0ArouDILg/видео.html

Awesome!! Hard to find real big bike offroad videos. I'm subscribing!
Beautiful 2 stroke sound on the fast part, hehe
Great job on the video. My group will be there in July (hot) on our way to CO and this video series gets us even more excited!

you and Maverick kicking some ass!!! Nice video, enjoyed the music
Awesome ride buddy. Thats a big bike to take enduro riding. LOL. I'd love to ride through that country. (I visited in a car)
Big Bike Adventures to each their own 😂 I love the challenge and can only really afford one bike haha.
It's impressive how you handle that big Africa Twin on that technically challenging trail!

No, I havent, thats nuts.
Nice vid and riding. What are those rubber looking knee pads on the side of your tank? I’m looking for something like that for my Tiger 900
You know it must be rough terrain if it looks rough on camera! Awesome riding!

Which direction was that in? Going north or south?
Ilya in this video it was north to south. Check out my newer Utah bdr video for a better representation of the Lockhart section south to north.
@@backcountryadvmoto I plan to do it in October south to north. 👍
Ilya south to north is the easier way in my opinion
@@backcountryadvmoto That's what I thought. To me it looks like there's just one section that's really hard in either direction. The rest of it is ok.
Lucky man 👍🏻🇬🇧
Awesome road trip, just don't like the falling damaging the bike
Maybe get a sport touring?
Fun video, but damn the music. It sounds like background music belonging on a skate video from the 90’s.
Nice video
👍🏼👍🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Straight up face plant on the crash ouch.
Moto Bandito it happens I’ve crashed this bike well over 100 times

Tom Beckett yeah I know. I’m not that happy with it. Thanks for watching though.
Sweet video.... the music is distracting

No need of music when a twin is singing
