hey mate. i finally bought that high fender kit instead of an aftermarket exhaust.. i hope the installation will be as straightforward as yours! thanks for the great video
Hey man just saw your ride out at virtue...I'm a baker guy with a africa twin . want to ride baker to sumpter this summer ? Just have to finish my cash bars be done soon on the way. Thanks Doug
Doug Noe awesome! My wife is from there, and we spend a little time there now and again. How long have you had it? I met a guy there about a year ago up at the interpretive center that had one. Wasn’t sure if you were the same guy. Check out my snow video “winter wonderland” we end up in sumpter for a couple days. Love that area.
Have you considered shedding the right side brake disc up front. Unsprung weight ala KTM 950 SE. Maybe even the crashbars and centerstand. Then you might save 20 pounds....
Mikael Engmark Helligsø nah not really. The weight doesn’t bother me at all. It’s not the weight that was making the fender hit, it’s the 4 foot drops and jumps I take on the regular. Haha!
Thanks for checking it.out! Wheels are by Woodys Wheel Works. Excel 21 x 185 front. Narrower than stock. Works a little better isn’t the slow technical stuff rear is a Excel 18x4.25. Same as stock size. Both are Super laced with Billet HAAN hubs. They are freaking tuff!
I'm curious why you didn't go with the Camel frt fender kit ? Especially since you have most of their other products. After researching Alt rider and Tusk I went with the Camel kit. By the way, you do a really good job on your videos.
Daryn Deamron hey thanks For the question. To be completely honest, I was sponsored by AltRider at the time and I got the kit at cost. Another reason is that I liked the metal fork guards over the plastic ones. AltRides was also slightly easier to install. Both are great kits. There isn’t anything from Camel Adv that I wouldn’t trust. They make great produces and Cory is a great guy. Great company.
Thanks for the video. The printed instructions are incredibly unclear on both the brake line routing and the zip tie setup, and even the AltRider RUclips video is still unclear. I'm curious if 3 years on you are still running this fender? I'm not thrilled with how much the brake lines bow out on both sides, and I rode yesterday and the fender seems too small/short. I had mud all over my headlight and windshield in what I would consider only slightly muddy conditions. The 4 other bikes riding with me had clean headlights and windshields.
WestfallWorx not in the full on rain, but I recently rode on the highway that had just been rained on and had run off from snow melt. Very wet road, and I honestly couldn’t tell a difference.
AltRider makes a high fender kit for the regular AT and the Adventure Sports, which kit did you use? I can't tell what the difference would be, other than the "light bar".
Nevermind, apparently the Adventure Sports model needs a double banjo bolt fitting that doesn't come with the regular AT high fender kit. Only difference I see.
Why did they make it a crossover line? It looks like it would be much more simpler to split the lines with a single line to each caliper. This would eliminate the crossover.
TheMTrider16 my guess is they just mimicked what the factor lines do. When it comes to hydraulics, they are very precise. The oem does exactly what this kit does. To run a separate line to each would involve a lot more engineering with an new transfer block, reservoir and so on. My guess is they kept it the same as stock with longer lines to keep the cost down and make the kit more affordable. Great question. Thanks for watching
Backcountry Adventure Motorsports - Got it installed. The connections are the same, which is good, I guess; and is probably the reason for the crossover line design. The brake line routing isn’t my favorite, but the fork shields and fender bracket are pretty good.
jjl46507 they are quick releases so I can rotate the bars for off-road and then rotate them back for highway. Tool-less design. They are actually made for bmw, but same thread pattern. Wonderluch.com
Yeah man that was me I had the red bike and I did go with the alt rider crash bars. Got the uppers on gonna put the lowers on this next weekend. I remember you talking about riding around virtue. I love mine. I got all those roads to sumpter memorized we should ride this summer....mine is not half way as set up as yours but if ya get over this way I will send my phone 2 ya number
cheers man .., incase anyone else is wondering why .., it is because the copper is a very soft metal - and the copper squashes down to make a tight seal once the banjo bolt is tightened to it's correct torque rating . The Copper Washers .., are (generally speaking) a use once item only and should be replaced with new washers each time the banjo bolt is released and re-tightened
Toby 750 yeah I had them very looses. Since this video they are tucked a little tighter. They are steel braided with a rubberized coating so either way, they are pretty tuff. Thanks for watching. 👍🏻
Tony Lawton Nope on the mud on the engine and had the lifted fender first. Filled with mud in Nevada and broke the fender. This kit works great. These are proven for 3 years now. If you can’t say anything nice. Don’t say anything at all. 😂

Thanks so much , you helped me , since kit did not bring installation instructions !!

Excellent job with the video and instructions!
Just ordered it last night, and this is going to be a huge help when installing it.
Thank you! :)
Well done Kyle, your bike likes stunning, almost a different one!! Stay safe!
Thanks! Will do!
Great video... looks awesome on your bike... down the road I will most likely get the kit. Thanks for what you do..
Kyle Mcgill thanks for watching
Nice video, I was thinking about a high fender kit, still undecided.
If I do, I’ll just rewatch your video first lol
👍🏻
YES YES YES!! thats the africa twin should look

Hello, do you have that kit for BMW F800 gs?
I'm curious why you didn't go with the Camel frt fender kit ?
Especially since you have most of their other products. After researching Alt rider and Tusk I went with the Camel kit.

Hi, I would like to know your final solution for repositioning your Denali light. Thank you so much.
07 78 I ended up mounting them on top of the crash bars next to the headlights. Check out my Instagram page and see what I mean
Nice video! Looks great. Have you tried the new fender in the rain on the freeway?
WestfallWorx not in the full on rain, but I recently rode on the highway that had just been rained on and had run off from snow melt. Very wet road, and I honestly couldn’t tell a difference.

see the TUSK high fender kit. That's exactly what they do.
What are those plastic pieces on your bar clamps for?
jjl46507 they are quick releases so I can rotate the bars for off-road and then rotate them back for highway. Tool-less design. They are actually made for bmw, but same thread pattern. Wonderluch.com

Doug Noe sounds good man! I will be that way at least once this summer.
Doug Noe I’m up in Northern Idaho. Same thing from me. If you end up this way let me know.
you make the bleeding with the brake fluid deposit lid on or open?
You need to add some tubing wrenches to your kit.
exactly. NEVER use a standard wrench on a brake line.
I thought all banjo washers were made from copper ?
Island Dreaming They are. I didn’t catch it before, but that is correct. 😂

looks ogly
Lenek8005 hahaha thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching
Looks awsome..but the brakelines looks very exposed?
Liker your chanel.
Toby 750 yeah I had them very looses. Since this video they are tucked a little tighter. They are steel braided with a rubberized coating so either way, they are pretty tuff. Thanks for watching. 👍🏻
Backcountry Adventure Motorsports
Good chanel..ride safe
Looks crap and you get to much mud on the engine, would have been better to just move your high mount kit down 5mm .
Tony Lawton Nope on the mud on the engine and had the lifted fender first. Filled with mud in Nevada and broke the fender. This kit works great. These are proven for 3 years now. If you can’t say anything nice. Don’t say anything at all. 😂
