The mind is like looking into a river. When it's still, we can "see and hear" ourselves better. A very gradual process. It's so important to give ourselves permission to be our true self. To go into a journey within. Slowly, day by day.
Heaven in action! Love it!... I’m going to make sure everyone knows that’s what I am! 🤣 You’re doing great work George. The world is so sharply divided across cultural and political lines. It’s easy to get lost in these divisions. But your work is highlighting just how “untrue” this is. We have way more in common with people from an entirely different culture and time than we do differences. Even if I don’t “get” the moral of the stories. I “get” how they demonstrate the commonalities between my experience as a typical modern American with those of a sage from ancient China. We couldn’t be more disparate in culture and environment. But our experience as human is really no different. It encourages a sense of brotherhood to “see” that.
You are such a darling! I have been following your channel and remember my first encounter with taoism and ever since have dreamt I will go to Wudang. For years. You give me hope it will happen. Chuang Tze is fantastic! Thank you for sharing these short stories. Be blessed!
Thank you, George! It is heartwarming to listen to you sharing this wisdom, and to see the joy and light shining from you. Sharing your own gifts in this way is a great service to the world.
What a lovely way to share these stories! Zhuangzi and Hui Shi are such an adorable duo. Without Hui Shi's silliness, Zhuangzi's lessons in wisdom would not be as amusing.
It's like I know these things deep down, I practice them everyday, but as soon as I get lost in my head and emotions (pain patterns), I completely forget about them. I'm sick now, and meditating on having no goals in life, just living an experience and enjoying it, and it saddens me so deeply, it's surprising... thank you George.
You do seem more joyful George. A good reminder. Yes, Heaven in Action is a magnificent thought. A chair or a water tank are more exciting than a bag! Wonderful stories and landscape. Thank you for sharing Shuangzi and Hui Shi stories.
bows of gratitude George for your generosity of heart in sharing Taosim. although i'm a Buddhist practitioner and meditation teacher, my roots are in Zen and Taosim informs Zen much, so i've always felt a deep resonating appreciation and respect for Taosim and Tao as the source of all things and our connective interdependent thread. i enjoy, appreciate, and learn from your teaching. your open heart and your steady mind shine in sharing the Taoist wisdom. ~j
Thanks for the stories. Going through stressful times but trusting that i will be alright and things will fall into place where and how they may. My cat i shealthy and we have a roof and food, we're cozy, so it's fine. Forget the rest ❤️
Been watching you from the start. So happy to your development. I too have much movement. I love listening to you and discover where you and I are now. 🙏🏼
The gourd story makes me think about how fun it can be to smash things. So they were useful to him to release his frustration. Nothing lost - its seeds are spread and the rest serves to fertilise the soil.
Thank you for sharing these stories! Reminds me of how great taoist philosophy really is! So simple and straight forward! Please make more videos like this!
Lovely evening viewing George. Fascinating stuff and superbly presented. Hope you have a super year and looking forward to joining in your adventures via RUclips.
A heart full of gratitude for this and the other videos. You have your finger on the pulse of our world and the stories that need to be heard. May I share a life-guiding story? I’d bet you’ve heard it… There’s a man who wins the lottery and his friends say, “Wow, so cool!” And he says, “Maybe.” And he buys a sports car. Again, friends say, “You’re so lucky, aren’t you stoked?” He replies with, “maybe.” He gets into a car accident and breaks a leg. His friends visit him in the hospital and say, “What a bummer.” And he says, “Maybe.” Then war breaks out and he’s excluded from it due to his injury….. You hit on it in the beginning of this video when saying how we can begin to see almost nothing is really good or bad. ☯️🙏🏼
So much wisdom in these beautiful stories and your heart felt way of explaining everything is wonderful. Time for some qigong now after being reminded that "The heart and mind follow the feet". Very much looking forward to more insights with your upcoming course too George. Thank you so much for all that you do.
Thank you George. You bring the Tao wisdom so simply, quite and joyfully. The way you talk is very authentic and clear. I wonder what brought you to China 4 years ago?
