@@Happy-kc2yr In 1939 Poland was in the alliance with Britain and France, but not with the United States. During Yalta and Potsdam conferences, the Big Three (Stalin, Churchill, Roosevelt/Truman) did make decisions that led to Eastern Block creation and test Roosevelt gave free rein to the Soviets over territories of Poland, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary. What we had learned from history is that those alliances are broken due to changes of interests. Alliances are a game, but without allies, it is much more difficult to survive. So without the US as an ally to Poland, the country would be like Ukraine- alone and hopeless. Now with the current US administration under Biden, none of the US allies are safe as Biden is incompetent and weak. Now regarding Poland being a puppet, well - the country is not a world player to dictate to others what to do. So Poland and any other medium-sized country follow the bigger brothers which is a norm. Don't forget what the real puppet state looks like, it is not today's Poland, but less PRL (Polish People's Republic) when it was a Soviet vassal state (or satellite if you prefer). So our wonderful country is safer with the United States troops present in Poland than without, and that is the whole point. Alliances are based on benefits, and Poland benefits from it (not financially, unfortunately) by gaining additional world security. Cheers!

Every time I see American troops in Poland in the road I lower my window and weave at them showing my thumbs up! Maybe to some of them it’s an adventure or money making thing but still even these guys should be appreciated. The vast majority of young Americans who join army are naive and genuinely believe their service is to change the world for the better and to protect their country. It’s usually not their fault that American administration took part in many wars like Iraq where the main reason was profit for the minority occupying governmental positions in US. The saddest thing is all kinds of enemies are within the gates and acting against American people interests. Don’t mistake these genuine and good willed boys and girls in the American forces with it. I always try to chit-chat them, wish them good times in Poland and thank them for embracing us into NATO and bringing additional threat to Putler and his hordes... On the other hand @lovemypoland - do you see a lot of brainwashed Poles who hate Americans and the fact that their army is stationed in Poland (like in some comments here)?...
Thanks. Yes, I do see that from time to time. I always let them explain why they feel like they do. It usually comes down to feeling abandoned by us in the past. I get that. Let's hope things have changed today 💪
Well it is also a thing that US troops being there somehow undermine our feelings of free nation, if they here that means to some people that we are subjugated to US and are not so free after all. That comes from Russian troops being there during the whole communist oppression and now switching from Russian soldiers to US soldiers makes some uneasy about it.
@@LoveMyPoland Poland was not abandoned by USA in the past... Poland and USA had no treaties before the WWII - USA had no obligations whatsoever to fight with Stalin for free Poland. Sorry to say that but Poles are traumatised by the WWII experience as well as by years of commie rule. It takes a lot of investigation and education to understand that simple fact that our expectations towards US was just a sentiment based on nothing tangible - countries and politics don’t work like that. Majority of Poles are coming a bit from a position of entitlement. It’s understood but irrational and childish. No other country wants to send its boys to die in dozens of thousands just to ‘free’ another nation. No politician will survive such endeavour. Fortunately nowadays Americans understand that Poland is the key to blocking Russia and Germany and we are a part of NATO - this is not any guarantee of substantial help but at least it’s a treaty and USA has its reputation at stake if they don’t uphold it... on another hand - with Biden and turmoil in USA - the future and American guarantees seem bleak...
@@TheBucketSkill we are still not a superpower- as a matter of fact we are a rich and attractive country with no military to defend all that good life - look at all the new houses and cities and our bare ass waiting for Russians to come and enslave us....
It's great to see the US Army here in Poland. It's a tangible sign that we are allies and that our nations love liberty and democracy and are always able to help one another since the times of the American War of Independence, Tadeusz Kościuszko and Kazimierz Puławski. Long live our friendship !

This is very interesting. I remember chatting with visiting US troops (mostly Navy) when I lived in Brazil - the ships were open for visitation, but since I am a US citizen, I got to board the ships after hours (I worked at the port of Fortaleza for a brief period) ... what a thrill! The only other Americans I ever met in Fortaleza were Mormon missionaries - their church was on the corner of my street, and although I was never interested in their religion, I often participated in their events.

Cheers!
Thank You guys to being here in Poland You are such welcome !!!

@@KrissowskiM In 1939 we were also not even a god damn superpower yet.

Kazimierz Pułaski :)
Yeah.. Poles love freedom and democracy sp much that 50% of Poles sold it for 500PLN on a month. Pathetic.
@@zepter00 Only 15 % . I rely on election statistics. The PiS party has around 30% of the vote in elections in which up to half of the eligible voters usually participate, which is only 15% of the true support. At the same time, some voters choose PiS not for 500+, but because they do not like and do not trust the main PiS noponet, i.e. PO, which is not sensitive to social issues. Half of Poles do not choose to vote because they do not see anyone sensible among politicians at all. Your argument is manipulation.
