Age of War is one of my group's favorite push-your-luck games, and this felt like a really cool evolution on that type of game. One of my favorite little games of the year! I'm glad to see it went over well with the Dice Tower crew.
I’m confused as to how you can choose not to finish a card and make someone else do it if you’re only allowed to work on one card at a time.. if your turn comes up and you’re already working on a card, aren’t you forced to try to finish it?
How does this compare to Cosmic Run Regeneration? We really like that one. This has the ability to complete cards others have started though, did anyone feel that was mean at all?
It can be a bit mean if someone swoops in and finishes a card. Chris mentioned that sometimes it is OK to lose a card because the points gained are more valuable then the card itself or the ability. The game moves along pretty quickly too, which means you're just a few minutes from another play and your own chance to "steal" a card. I think there is potential for more dead turns/rolls in Cosmic Run (which I own and enjoy). You are also working entirely on your own to score the tracks in CRR.
I played this last year at PAXU (with Robert!), and finally played my own copy last week. Happy to say it's still one of my favorite push-your-luck games in my collection. I'll be bringing it back to PAXU this year to share with others. Very happy with the retail edition.

Robert is on a roll! This game is great fun.
Moon actually has an atmosphere so sound can travel there

You're only allowed to work on one card within a turn. Next turn you can work towards a different one.
Joey. Great. I would expand this panel with 1 more person thats a different guest every time. Thanks for the video guys. Great discussion.
Congrats on your second Seal of Excellence, Robert!
Can Shuffle and Swing make it three for three? I guess we'll have to wait and see...
Spoilers. Geez!
IV Games still looking for that one game that can match their skill in marketing

@ thank you!
How is it solo? Did anyone try it that way?
@@CamObscura88 the game doesn’t have a solo mode
There is a thread in the Board Game Geek forum for fan made solo mode. May be worth a follow if solo is your jam. 🌙 🎲
@@maxzuber3861 well that’s a pretty good reason to not cover it! And it reminds me why I didn’t ultimately back it!
Someone needs to tell Joey that saying the word “dice” won’t hurt him.

This game is so short and so random that most people have not cared if they lost or won but great fun was had.
Meh.
To understand the theme you really need to play the original. Regardless, you need to play Moonrakers, it’s sublime.
