It probably goes without saying, but WAY too many people forget these days that whenever you travel to another country, you're automatically representing where you came from. As wrong as it is to judge an entire people by the actions of a few, you still have the unspoken responsibility to make a good impression wherever you go because that shit affects the rest of us and acting like a total menace makes all of us look bad. You're not just a simple traveler out there, you also become an ambassador of sorts.
The people who do this don’t spare a single thought about anyone other than themselves. They don’t care about representing a country, because they don’t care about us. They care about them.
The concept of asking someone who is right in front of you to meet up for a fight tomorrow baffles me. This isn't the internet, if you want to act tough you have to follow through
As a Japanese person, you have no idea how much I appreciate you for covering this Charlie. I am honestly so sick of witnessing my country being used for content. We are real people with feelings; not just people you “experience” when you go to Japan for vacation. Our culture is how we live, and it breaks my heart that people like this will use that for clout.
I’m sorry for some of the degenerates who go to Japan and cause problems. I hope this helps assure you that when most Americans see people like that we hate them too
Im not Japanese, but I also dont like how usually the continent I live in is grouped all together like if we were 1 or 2 countries, and then use a couple cultural elements to make movies. Not that those movies are bad, I just dont like the way that the people who see it feel about it, treating cultural aspects the same as with fictional cultural aspects. We are real and we werent made to be randomally romanticized god dammit

Foreigners actually have it pretty easy, from what I've heard - you just get slapped with a fine and deported. It's only when you don't go along with it that you get the native Japanese treatment of being guilty until proven... guilty... which you will be because otherwise it would mean the police arrested someone innocent, which would be an unacceptable failure, which must never be admitted.
I live in Japan and teach adult conversational English, and my normally quite reserved students had quite strong opinions on this guy, but even then they say “well, he must have mental issues”.

From what I've heard, like any sort of confrontation is considered rude in Japan, so when someone like Johnny comes along they're societally expected to just take it. When he gets punched in that video clip, you can clearly see that the puncher isn't of Japanese heritage. You'd never see the average Japanese citizen try that
That's why they go to Japan to do this shit. They abuse the privilege of travel to go to places where they won't get the same push back they do in their home country. They destroy the reputation of foreigners for their own short-term gain. This belittling and dehumanizing of the Japanese people makes me physically ill and I hope he stays in the slammer for a long fucking time.
Nah Japanese people confront others in Japan, but it depends on the time, place, people, and situation. You might see it more in the cities too, especially in Tokyo or Osaka. But clout chasers are increasingly becoming a nuisance in Japan, and slowly you’re starting to see people standing up against them. Unfortunately most people will still be non-confrontational and generalize foreigners.
That guy who decked the two. He put all his might and soul in each hit and you felt the impact!!! Overall, he is like a National Hero now in Japan. He must have known about the troll and did what he felt right!!!

The only thing that makes this bittersweet is that Johnny was happy to get arrested. Maybe some Japanese thugs in jail will wipe that smile off his face because if he met one person not afraid to throw a punch in the city, there’s going to be more

The best part is that it's in Japan, which is notorious for the court system being really biased in favor of the prosecutors. While it isn't good overall, it means he'll definitely get some consequences from this, whether he gets thrown into jail or deported, or even both.
he needs to go to prison and his videos leaked to the prison population. The nationalists in prison will absolutely pay him some attention. Unfortunately, I doubt trespassing is a prison sentence.
Yup, Japan has a pretty bad justice system. Minors that do crime aren't even prosecuted to the degree of their crime. Just a slap on the wrist. Hells they can get away with murder necause of how messed up Japan's justice system is. So ya.. Luck to that idjit if he pisses off an unhinged minor.
First, if they arrested you in Japan, they never make mistakes, so conviction is guaranteed. Now, they often give very unpredictable sentences. Like, 20 weeks or 20 years. For the same crime. Japan is a super tolerant country, they treat most small crimes as "civil matter". This is an arrest. He's done. I can't wait to hear the sentence.
craziness of how other countries do sentencing is super interesting to me! I love to see a pedo go away for life and in America they get 4 months probation for kid diddlin VS. R^PE 2yrs which is what it is. But why are those people even getting a chance to leave prison/jail? We all know pedos be living beside schools with no repercussions. I've lived in Hiroshima for a little over a year now, and haven't been paying attention to any of this. I was touring my visiting brother around Shibuya when we happened to run into this guy on the same street corner seen in the punching video. My brother was fuming, but I was glad I didn't know lol. There was also an old school Yakuza guy on the opposite side of the street arguing and getting shoved away by police as they were making a ring around the streamer. I couldn't tell if it was related though. Side note, the atomic bombings are pretty remote in the memory of Japanese people, and Hiroshima and Nagasaki are well known for lots of things other than getting bombed, especially in Tokyo. It would be like walking around in California and a Japanese guy runs up to you saying "New York!" Chances are most of the people he harasses aren't so much offended as they just think he's mentally ill or something.
If he said Hiroshima or Nagasaki i would be with you.. but if you name them both there aren't that many obvious connections especially when you look like you're a Gaijin. And as far as i remember he said something along the lines of "Hiroshima, Nagasaki! We will do it again, because you don't know how to behave" which has much less ambiguously imho.. And your comparison should at least be a Japanese guy running around in California saying "Pearl Habor" And i am pretty sure if some Arabic looking guy was aggressively going around D.C. saying "New York! We will do it again because you don't know how to behave" he will get clubbed the same way since somebody will make the connection.

Damn I'm traveling to Japan soon and I was actually worried about impressions and this guys insane ruining it for everyone else. Felt good to see them Socked up!
It’s possible some Japanese ppl will be very affected by this. I went to a small store in Japan and the lady kicked me out saying “no foreigner, no foreigner!” That was her only English and probably for a reason. This was all before Johnny here.
long as youre calm, polite, and give japanese a shot (even if you're not very good) you'll find most folks super cool with trying to help
I’m sure politely greeting would help
I'll be traveling to Japan in the next few months too, and I'm hoping not to see this guy.
as long as you are not black you are fine
Could you imagine being an old man in your 70s and your grandkids ask what you did when you were young and you have to remember being this guy
Bold of you to assume either of them will ever touch a woman consensually
@@sorrestsummerThe only way a woman is touching him is with a taser.
@@sorrestsummer true. ain't nobody gonna make babies with him willingly
Most people like this wont make it to 70, and definitely wont have kids that want to talk to them, let alone grandkids
1:12 The power and passion in that punch was beautiful to observe
These guys are literally the wandering enemies in a Yakuza game that are BEGGING to get their shit pushed in by Kiryu
True, except the wandering enemies actually have the balls to actually start physical fights and throw swings
I wouldn’t want to be the victim of a heat move by kiryu

The guy at the end pretending to be a tough guy running away was the funniest thing ever. I bet he had diarrhea in his pants after the other guy said 'lets do it now'. Great content indeed
He went straight to the gun shop and paid with his man card, only it was declined.
bruh i had the biggest goofiest smile on my face when the guy he was harassing was like "there's no reason to wait" and started taking off his jacket while slowly approaching and the cameraman's panicked retreat. just wish we couldve somehow seen the streamer's facial expression
what was the situation leading up to it? It seems like we only got the tail end of the conversation and I want to know the context so I can smile and laugh at him with deeper conviction.
@@illdie314the guy is known for looking for confrontations with people that are non white. His "arguments" are your typical "there is no white privilege" shit but this time he confronted the wrong guy, someone who had no interest in "debating" with words, but with his fists. Love to see it.
Im confused on how racism played into that last clip
How he managed to avoid the Yakuza is astounding, cause they're still around and kicking and they don't joke around.
public knowledge the Yakuza have a non-interventionist policy against civilians, similar to how the HK triad runs, it would be very stupid to pick random fights with law enforcement or random people on the street. keep it private
there was a Yakuza in Thailand who warned him apparently that if he plays around he'll get a reward, I think (please verify, memory bad) he gets dropped again in a different video but he doesn't get hurt
Imagine the ego boost of some dude challenging you to a fight and then running away when you accept.
He called his bluff and showed what kinda boy Carl really is
It's actually a lot better when you accept, and you knock the aggressor out cold, to the ground, with a crescent kick to both his temples. Right then left. Then, ground and pound him, for good measure. 😁 He started it. It's too bad nobody wants to fight anymore.
"Most people, most normal people, will do anything to avoid a fight".
"You think you're a man with that gun in yo hand?"
"I'm a man without it".
@@ARedMotorcycle Idk man, I wouldn't get much of an ego boost from needing a brick to knock a dude out.

And your comparison should at least be a Japanese guy running around in California saying "Pearl Habor"
And i am pretty sure if some Arabic looking guy was aggressively going around D.C. saying "New York! We will do it again because you don't know how to behave" he will get clubbed the same way since somebody will make the connection.
Hiroshima proves nuclear war can be survived. Glad I moved to a country no one would nuke. Glad the evil US will be nuked. Except I pity the minority of innocent babies and toddlers doomed by their evil parents.
@@DiabloDBS911 was an inside job.
for some reason the idea of just a random guy in california running up to you and saying “new york!!” is really funny

How japan hasnt blacklisted his passport or sent him to a Japanese Jail is beyond me
Im a lover of street justice, so seeing him get what he deserved was nothing short of satisfying
This isn't street justice. It's white on black racism motivated violence. Does it really satisfy you to see a white man beat on a black man? This country is doomed. Bigot.
Hear! Hear! I second that opinion and love of the street style justice system 2 piece and the biscuit.

Through this whole saga I actually have more respect for Japan and Japanese people.
This is what happens when you have a strong moral code, and almost no indignant behavior on a nationwide scale.
There was patience, there was waiting. Its probable the authorities were waiting for somali and his friend to give them something more concrete to move on.
@@lexj.2162 They're going to nail "public disturbance" and "public harassment" as additional charge even though those are usually *not* grounds for arrest. Police in Japan always done it this way.

@@victoriazero8869he also trespassed on a construction site, which can give up-to 3 years hehe
It's wonderful to me how the Japanese police check mate'd those fools so well
They let Somali roam free, thinking he could get away with his shenanigans and become overconfident, all while incriminating himself and streaming and recording everything 😂😂
And then boom. Arrested. I cheered so hard when he was leaving the 7.11 and the backup arrived to lock his @ss up 👏👏👏
The second guy…I gotta say, that’s so much worst than getting knocked out in my opinion. The way he started to mentally defeat himself at the end was icing on the cake.
"But why was he not throwing punches?"
But he was throwing punches, psychologically. He was beating his ass in the mentality.
Personally, I would let the Yakuza handle this guy.
