Lmaooo Tom not given a Fk he said “ wish they’d take that shit off” 😂😂😭 on a serious note y’all just learn to work on your darn cars and pick up the same car or truck for fraction of the price at a auction and fix some body work and perhaps some mechanical work boom new car.
Landcruiser with a 4cyl Turbo? Their US executives are smoking 🚬 crack or what? That's not going to be durable or cheap to repair once the warranty goes out. All brands have got problems now of higher price, low quality, expensive earlier repairs, and a short lifetime.
Just purchased a used 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport, the price tag included an additional $999 in fees and when I asked what it was the sales person literally told me it was their "built in profit" to which I responded "I'm not paying that".
Toyota has been manufacturing American vehicles, right here in the USA. The US put heavy import taxes on Japan, resulting in Nissan, Toyota and Mitsubishi having plants here.
@@homeiswheremyhouseis5517 sorry to hear that. those 2003 tacomas are like museum pieces. people follow those trucks like religion. get that truck and take care of it and it will last for a while.
You can blame financing for the enormous price increases over the last decade. Dealers figured out that consumers weren't as concerned about the price as they were their monthly payment. It was also a way to sell vehicles to people who really could not afford what they were buying. When a consumer wants a vehicle, they don't pay much attention to how long the term of their financing is before it gets paid off. That's the hook. Dealers make money on both ends, one by the higher price and two by the endless interest they get as that unpaid loan keeps going and going and going. Today if you want to finance a new vehicle, you have to accept a debt that looks more like a mortgage than a vehicle loan.
This has been my observation, thanks for posting its a great point... I've spoken with more than a few people over the years who consistently talk about monthly cost rather than overall cost when buying a car..
I don't believe it's that big of a deal of a markdown considering the price point they started out at. These manufacturers know their trash isn't worth that much money. Same thing with Stellantis. Jeep wrangler priced at 60k is laughable, those vehicles should be hovering at high 20s low and I mean very low 30s
Toyota had to go v6 turbo to comply with epa regulations. This year I bought a 2024 gmc sierra 1500, half ton diesel. Absolutely fantastic fuel economy, plenty of power, awesome interior. Tundra wasn't near as appealing for the money. I get close to 30 mpg highway
Stop calling it discounts, when these vehicles have been marked up by manufacturers for the dealerships, and then up priced by the greedy dealerships as well,, I will never return to my original dealership to purchase again due to there greedy antics, as they've attempted to buy back my vehicle,, said, you'll never take my money again nor will I ever purchase from this organization AGAIN.. otherwise love what your doing thx much..
Whoever left that pill bottle probably needed it when they saw the price! If these vehicles were 100% Made in Japan, I might buy but no way I can justify that for a vehicle that's only Japanese in name only.
"Upgrade". They keep trying to get me to trade in my 3rd gen Tacoma. They actually sent me a letter and accidentally told me had they have customers lined up for 3rd gen Tacomas. I offered it to them for $400,000 cash.

Toyota has gone too far up-market. They’re only appealing to the 10% of people who can still afford to buy a new vehicle. In addition, anyone who buys a new Tundra or Tacoma isn’t buying it to do truck stuff.

I finally started making good money to buy their already expensive tacoma. Now they want to price Guage for something we never asked for with their turbos and hybrids, complicating everything. Now they're having unlimited recall issues.
