Kahawai madness! I upgraded my Kayak! (Oldtown Predator PLD Kayak)

- Hello and welcome to Basic Fishing from New Zealand. In this video, I showcase another kayak fishing mission and also where I showcase my new upgrade: I finally got an Old Town Predator Pedal Kayak! It felt great to use a pedal drive kayak again and my mission for today was to try and get some snapper and kingfish. Unfortunately I couldn't find any kingfish despite big bait activity but I did ran into a lot of kahawai and had another epic session with the kahawai workups. Felt great to get into some kahawai again but really do hope to get that kingfish on the kayak.

Hey Peter, the new kayak is looking mint. Are you gonna make a review about it? How does it compare to your previous one. I believe it's a bit heavier but also longer and sturdier, eh. Anyway looks great and nice colour too.
hey Mark, yea it's great to get an upgrade. from the previous one its much better: pedal drive is smooth and goes pretty fast even at slow winding. tbh it felt a bit lighter compared to my old one. as for the review, who knows? maybe i'll try doing a review
Kabura slow jig sliders - orange - if you want to catch snapper. Rolls Royce kayak setup - seems to move well.

Where did you get the ild town kayak from, i have been looking for one for so long now but nothing available in NZ

I did bit of a look up, i assume all the accessories can be installed by the team in the shop. Was that about a 3k investment?

Well over $5k new if you can find one. No longer imported to NZ as far as I know.
What is the name of your sounder? And how much does a good one cost
its a lowerance hook reveal 7. its just a beginners model but as for good ones they may cost a lost
