The faster I fish a top water bait the higher I will hold my rod tip to prevent the lure from diving under the surface of the water. Some times when the bait goes under the surface of the water it causes a reaction strike. Good video nothing like a relaxing day on the water with a new lure the Bass are tearing up. Stay safe and keep making great videos looking forward to many more this summer.

Just for clarification for anyone considering buying a sharko it’s not a traditional hollow body frog. It’s really a hollow body weedless glide bait. It was designed for walking the dog just under the surface around weedy areas. Figured I’d try to help anyone out before they buy one and start saying it sucks because it floats terrible, etc. 😂

@@ndyakangler I've watched probably most if not all your videos sometimes twice especially the small mouth river chunks, you're a fish magnet. Lol. I've been fishing as a kid until now my adult years the same lake. It's not a huge lake the deepest part runs about 34 feet. But it's not overly populated which is nice. There's large mouth, pike ,panfish, crappie. But I'm sure you've heard of Tiger muskies. That was my first musky catch at 13 one of my fondest memories. It wasn't huge your anything. 40inch at about 18lb. But it was my first, my grandpa was all smiles.

Two weeks ago, I walked down to the bank of our lake to make a few casts right before dark, not really expecting to catch anything. I had a 3 inch wacky worm on my hook. Caught a 3 pound bass, then 2 casts later I caught the largest fish of my life. I didn’t have a scale with me, but I know that bass was over 10 pounds. When I held it up for my wife to take a picture, I had both of my hands in its mouth, like you see people holding giant catfish. It had eyes as big as a cow! Quite a thrill 🙂

I didn’t mention it in the video but that’s the first thing I thought when I saw that hook gap, I’ll be sticking anything that bites! I had a couple fish shake it but I don’t think I missed much other than bluegill nibbles.

It was a fun lure! There’s a couple lakes I fish the frog on where the vegetation isn’t super thick I think it would be great on!

Hi NDYak. I was wondering if you could show us how you enter in your kayak. Your technique is flawless & everytime I try to enter in & out- I somehow end up soaked in one way or another. 😂

Most of the time it’s deep enough next to shore I can just sit down on the seat and rotate my feet in. If I have to step in I put that first foot in right in the middle to keep my weight centered, grab the side handles and push off shore with my other foot.

Nice fish. Amazingly you only caught Bass. Here in NY some toothy critter would try to eat it too.

There are pike in this lake but I don’t catch many on topwater. It f I toss a jig or spinnerbait in about 15ft off the deep weeds I’ll pick up a couple.
