It's so awesome to hear your updates! I watched your previous videos when deciding to become a UX Designer. I completed my boot camp and I'm now working my first design job!
@@designthedays would love to hear about your experience? what made you go with designlab, and what other bootcamps did you look at ? thanks in advance!
@@itskimdiazz I went with Designlab because I had a good experience in their short UX Foundations course. It gave me confidence to do their full UX Academy program. I had previously done a short course through Springboard and wasn't impressed. I have a full video about my Designlab experience on my channel!
Damn I was suprised when i saw ur video come up, glad you're doing well. I watched you when I was in highschool and you helped direct me towards ux/ui so thank you for that. Currently finishing my first year of a ux/ui degree and loving it :)
I resigned from teaching elementary school because of extreme burnout and life-threatened stress levels. I am starting CF's bootcamp this month and very excited but also very nervous and dealing with a lot of imposter syndrome. Love your vids they are inspiring and relieving my anxiety. haha
did you make the career switch after CF then? i tried avocademy & was really unhappy w/it. thankfully my job paid for the entry level course, but there was no live instruction.
Well well well! Welcome back! Let's be honest here, but one of your videos was the deciding factor for me to start with a UX Bootcamp (Careerfoundry) Now, I am done with that! Excited for the next phase in this journey.
Yo yo. Fellow Cape Townian here. Living in Berlin. Also did my UX bootcamp through CF. Needed to put on ice for a bit. Just a quick pop quiz. When you mention your Ui case study in your portfolio, are you refering to the one you did as the specialisation course. Or did you do an entire Ui bootcamp ? Also thanks for the update. Glad to hear ur crushing it. x
Yay happy to see you're back Tanya! I watched your portfolio video a bit ago and just revisited your channel today to find this really motivational video. Thank you for posting and I hope to view more videos from you as I'm also based in Sf now; I find your content and path more relatable. I'm just starting to learn new software and design concepts for my ux/ui career journey so I'm glad to have found your channel. Very helpful! ^_^
This is soooo helpful thank you for sharing!! Im looking into UX bootcamps and trying to transition from graphic design to UX. Still debating what bootcamp I want to do haha. It feels so stressful building a new portfolio
I'm glad you found it helpful! Definitely take your time researching bootcamps, make sure you find the right fit for you!! It def feels overwhelming at first LOL but it gets so much easier :)
Welcome back! I have checked your channel a couple of times since I first discovered it to see if you came back! Happy now you finally did! =) Where did you look for design challenges? I'd love to do some.
@@tanyaniu It is okay. Honestly I was waiting for you to come back again and start making videos. We all need a UI/UX teacher like you. Please don't stop making tutorials and lots of other videos.
hey Tanya. I just wanted to know how did you find internships? I am specifically looking for an unpaid internship to do remotely on a part time basis. I am from London! Please advise me as I can't find anything. Thank you!
Tanya did you go to a university? I’m wondering what degree I should study as Americans really value a degree (I have moved from UK to USA) or is the bootcamp enough? :0
Hi Tanya :) You mentioned doing 2 minor case studies along with the 2 major case studies you did with CF. Were those provided by CF as well, or did you find those on your own and did them outside of the course? May you kindly clarify? Thank you :)
Hi Charntel, great question! I found them on my own, but technicallyyy CF gives you a couple of project prompts to choose from, so you could choose another prompt to do in your own time just as a personal project! But then you won't have tutor/mentor guidance obviously, since they only mark one project. I can make a vid about how I found extra experience for minor case studies!! :)
Hey J r, it was for me but everyone has different learning needs and resources! I made a video about my CF experience on my channel, it might be helpful for you. I would personally choose CF if I had to do it all over again :)
