What a breath of fresh air by not seeing a 737 for the first 6 minutes of the video. Hats off. Also for me the first flying Honda. It reminded me of the Fokker 614. Thanks Alex
From someone who works the Ramp at YHZ, I hope you enjoyed the show! It's mostly just 737s, Q400s, and 220s for the winter now, but we did just get a HiFly A340 last night!
If you ever come back to YHZ I definitely recommend using a ladder, I use one for spotting. Also if you're back hopefully you get to see ASL Airlines Belgium and one of their 747-400Fs that we get.
There's a small cheap golf course near Stanfield called Airlanes, and it frequently has very very low passing planes overhead while you're playing. It's not the nicest course ever but being able to see the planes like that is really cool. Hopefully I run into you someday Alex haha.
Super video Alex! Top notch camera work and near perfect post production. Only one suggestion, you might want to leave the supers up a little longer for us slow readers. 😊
Nice bounce on the SWOOP at 8:07 very fast sink rate - add more power! Also didn't stow his thrust reversers before the 60KTAS requirement! Thought it was Ryan Air.
'Lands on the beach at its destination on Sable Island, so that's cool too! 'Kinda like on Saba on one of the many northern islands of Scotland. (On the Shetlands, Orkney or Hebrides?)
I've obviously confused Saba (shortest pabed runway in the world with commercial ops) with Barra (the only IATA airport that shares its runway with a public beach)! Saba is in the Caribbean; Barra's in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland!
Awesome! I wonder if I was there when your were filming. I used to out frequently and a lot of this traffic looks very familiar from one of my summer shoots
I know this is a very late comment, but I swear i was on the crj 900 from ottowa at 8:53. Is there any chance you know what day you were there because I was there on the second of august, the plane rocked the exact same way and landed slightly with the left tire first. It'd be awesome if you could confirm what day you were here!
Great vid, Alex. (As usual). Nice to see the variety at my former home airport, YHZ. Didn't know Eurowings was doing YHZ-FRA. (Perhaps they replaced Condor)? Thumbs up from YLW.
As a Halifax resident myself, this was so cool to see. Like, I recognize everything there! Shame you didn’t get to see everything Halifax can offer, we do get some 747 service from asl airlines, and 757 from fedex.
Hi Alex, love your videos, they are always nice and clear, and you have great close-ups. You would probably love plane spotting in Toronto, just off of Airport road by the Wendy's, the planes fly right over when coming in from the east.
The Canadian government forced Bombardier to sell 50.1% of the C series to Airbus for $1 and eventually bombardier dropped out of the project all together.
I never realized Air Canada operated such a wide range of different aircraft. Logistics and retaining service specialists for each aircraft type gets really expensive. I think West Jet has the much better concept of sticking with two or four different models of aircraft instead of 12.
They utilize capacity purchase agreements with other carriers who operate under the Air Canada Express logo. I believe as of last year it is now all contracted to Jazz Aviation. Jazz is a separate company owned by Chorus Aviation. Chorus/Jazz are based out of Halifax, so this is their hub.
In the past Air Canada Express used other carriers like EVAS and Georgian and had even smaller planes like Beechcraft 1900Ds, and Dash-8 100s and 300s.
Three months late, but probably still relevant: unlikely. Taxiway J is at the far end and that's where most of the cargo aircraft go. Just roll it out to the end and turn right!

From Texas USA, went to Halifax this past summer and it was a wonderful experience. Cool to see more of this airport!
8:11 swoop FREAKING EASY THERE SON
LOL glad I'm not the only one that noticed that!
As a haligonian I have been waiting for this all my life
Nice to see the Sable Aviation prop. I had a great chat with the operators last summer, though mostly about non-aviation stuff.
My home airport! I could watch these all day. Thanks for sharing!
I'm so excited to watch this. I was also doing some spotting there in August, was so delighted to see the Korean Air Cargo 777
This was the early Christmas gift I (and all of Halifax RUclips) needed!
Im from here and its so cool seeing people planespot at my local airport online
Ever since I found your channel in 2020 I’ve been hoping this day would come! I’m so excited to watch it now!
If you ever come back to YHZ I definitely recommend using a ladder, I use one for spotting. Also if you're back hopefully you get to see ASL Airlines Belgium and one of their 747-400Fs that we get.
Hey Alex! If you ever are in Ottawa, I would love to see another spotting video!
Was hoping this would be uploaded. Awesome seeing eurowings discover!

I have personally flown 2 planes from this video. How cool! 😊
Super video Alex! Top notch camera work and near perfect post production. Only one suggestion, you might want to leave the supers up a little longer for us slow readers. 😊
As a haligonian this makes me happy!
As someone living in halifax. This is awesome!
I watched the Avro RJ and Flair 737-800 landing in waterloo, never thought I'd see them take off on the other end of their flights.
Halifax has a pretty awesome spotting lot there, awesome shots!
Nice bounce on the SWOOP at 8:07 very fast sink rate - add more power! Also didn't stow his thrust reversers before the 60KTAS requirement! Thought it was Ryan Air.
It’s Swoop, what do you expect?
He didn’t need more power, just a late flare
Love love love this! Thanks for showing the plane spotting Halifax has to offer!
Love those 737Max
At 10:39 I believe that is the aircraft that recently overran the runway at YKF. (On a different flight)
The flair 737 that crashed at YKF was C-FFLA so that 737 was not the plane that crashed in Kitchener waterloo
Very cool to nab Sable Aviation.
Wow! I’ve flown a BN Islander. Many years ago. This is the first I’ve seen of one in a long time.
'Lands on the beach at its destination on Sable Island, so that's cool too!

The canjet hanger in the background near the end! The first airline I worked for!
I freaking knew this video was going to be out after I saw the last video.
@alexpraglowski probably shot some great spotting on his Westjest Dash 8 flights from coast to coast, at every airport along the way.
Great video as always. Merry Christmas and Bon voyage in 2023!
Great video, ,thanks a lot ! I didn't know this airline 08:07 beautiful livery ! 🙂

Fantastic spotting footage, Alex! So much variety in the ops!

Nice to see a Honda jet !
Awesome. Nice to see this airport outside of a flight simulator.
My local airport, nice. I'll be flying out of here in January to your home terf out west.
I actually was tracking the Air Korea flight when it flew over my house today!
Excellent video, as always. What are the edits/fades at 13:50 and 20:43 while the Swoops are departing? Two cameras? A RUclips artifact?
Beautiful capturing ❤ 777😍
Many 737🤩
Nice catch. Correct me if I am wrong, but you have the first Air Canada A220-300 on take off.
Good to see Korean Air plane in Canada 😊
YES MY HOME AIRPORT YESSSSSSS
Awesome, love seeing my home airport
been waiting for months for this 😊
Encore Dash-8s out East is going to seem very strange soon.
Hey Alex! Loved the video just have a question what software do u use to make thumbnails?
Great stuff Alex, man, I did not know that the Low Cost carriers and ULL carriers in Canada have more MAXs than I’ve seen anywhere.
Canada is the land of the Max
Great video. One suggestion that other spotters do (and is well received) is to include the flight time in your descriptions.
Hi Alex, love your videos, they are always nice and clear, and you have great close-ups. You would probably love plane spotting in Toronto, just off of Airport road by the Wendy's, the planes fly right over when coming in from the east.
I used to go there to watch planes when I lived in Orillia and had a car.
nice video. You should fly from coast ti coast only in a cessna 172
Not gonna lie, I would actually do this someday lol
4:52 that bounces so much
That Swoop Airlines from Hamilton musta thought it was on a bouncy castle or something!
Flair, Swoop, Lynx...never heard anything about these airlines!!!
Very nice camerawork!
Are Eurowings and Korean Air regulars to Halifax ??? 🤔😮😮
Korean is a regular; live lobster shipments included.
fabulous thank you
0:48 6:47 21:00 air Canada CS300 Airbus never bought the C series
The Canadian government forced Bombardier to sell 50.1% of the C series to Airbus for $1 and eventually bombardier dropped out of the project all together.
nice video alex
NIce, but the sound from the road traffic is louder than the beautiful sounds that the aircrafts makes.
What gear do you use to record these plane spotting videos?
How did you get over that fence it's always in my way 😂

4:50 only #2 thrust rev opened?
I hope that Flair made it in to Windsor ok
Shame to not see a 747, they seem to have a couple in a week here
The first swoop landing was rough
Was that a reverser failure on the Korean 777?
Three months late, but probably still relevant: unlikely. Taxiway J is at the far end and that's where most of the cargo aircraft go. Just roll it out to the end and turn right!
Wow
Where are you planespotting from? Like what road exact location?
There's a dirt pullout on Old Guysborough Road. If it's a nice day, you won't miss it! Sometimes it's packed!
There.
