Oh my god.....I bought this exact model myself 😂 It arrived today!!! £32.95 posted from demon tweeks direct on ebay. Cool to buy it from the livery sponsor. Mine is #254 of 300 Nice model. Though I prefer the evo spec from later years as the front end looks better. I watched some of the race, it's on RUclips in 3 parts. Car features in footage
The flag you see is not Italy, but Belgium..... 🇧🇪 It's Spa-Francorchamps. They all have yellow boxes too, if the car raced at Spa. They finished 17th overall, 3rd (podium) in Pro-Am Cup. It is the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, which the team came 6th in the Pro-Am standings. I believe they also raced in British GT with same livery, numbered 33 instead of 666. And only probably the Am drivers, maybe
@@markporthouse I always do a little research when I buy models, especially racing cars. It's part of what makes it interesting for me. Just got some vintage kit built models of vintage (1950s) Ferraris which are on the way. I like looking into the chassis history, especially when the model has no info, and finding about which drivers raced it where, and so on. Obviously not such a challenge in this case, as it says it on the plinth!
Oh, I think we've said about these before, I've got a Lancia LC2 on the way. I loved looking into them. Particularly the one I saw in The Imperial in Las Vegas, which was owned at some point by John Campion. There are only a few chassis numbers.
@@markporthouse which model is it? I have 2 of the Spa 1000km 1985 winner by spark. I have the 1984 Pole sitter too, but prefer the 85 spec shape. It's a real 'hoy grail' model for me. I bought one from grand prix models as soon as it was released, then accidentally won another on ebay, as it was going too cheap. I'll flog the spare one day. Other is on permanent display. (I rotate) Also have an unbuilt meri kit of it. Beautiful car, especially in the martini livery
This is the one I got. 1984 #4, Martini. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/296384028356?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=zhwFnuk3SXG&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=z71-Pt-3SJq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Well, that's interesting that someone from outside the UK would like it. What do you like about it in particular?
@@markporthouse Mostly the tracks that they race at.
Hail Satan. Great car.
