- After the crash of The Pillar of Autumn the marines of Alpha base are left to preform sorties against harassing covenant forces with the help of ODST fire teams and the Master Chief himself! Though there's a few surprises on Alpha Halo to make their experience less than stellar.

Modded Arma Halo has honestly begun to reach a point where it’s eclipsed some of my experiences from the actual Halo games. It’s really hard to beat adventuring around Alpha Halo with a ton of people, especially when you have talented mission makers. So now with grunts and hunters added it strangely feels like a really complete experience despite the typical Arma jank.
Never forget CE, not even guilty spark.

Arma modding is what the people who say "we need a Halo game but we play as a Marine" are looking for
Grunts are adorable. Until they run at you carrying two plasma grenades bent on taking you with them.
Each is a little taller than your average marine.
Fun fact they do that in the mod, tragically didn't catch it for the video though lol

Dude the battle from the Ghosts of Onyx prologue would work so well. 300 spartan-III's dropped into hell on a last-ditch suicide mission to take out a covenant refinery.
Might sound normal for spartans, but they were so outnumbered they ended up with only 2 survivors.

I want to see the Insurrectionists that the Spartans were originally designed to crush, play out. Later on in the books, when the Jackals captured covenant weapons and modified them so humans can use them i.e removed the bio signature required for each solider elite. Remember in The Cole Protocol, when that happened?

Try fighting 10 hunters in close quarters at night.
if you haven't had the luxury of taking them on. they are built different. they take 6 rockets to kill (a wraith takes 2) they are very accurate and can wipe a playerbase if they aren't careful. they are truly a thing to install fear because they will take a lot before going down. i still remember the first op i did with the hunters added for my group. i heard a lot of screams of terror before mass causality's (they also execute/kill uncon players when they get near them)
I couldn’t imagine going up against a hunter as a marine. Like that shits scary when I’m playing as a spartan

For Installation 04.... It was the worst day of its history.... For the brave soldiers of Ignis.... It was merely the day between Monday and Tuesday that is also sometimes Thursday.
I love the POV of Jay just watching GREEN DEATH approaching him as he contemplates his life and how he got to that moment... then he explodes.

That is why i love the book The flood it shows how many things were happening at the same time in alpha halo, also we need a recreation of the final marine attack at the truth and reconciliation
This was an incredible mission, hats off to the modders and mission makers for bringing us a different perspective within the classic halo experience

I am also very proud of my last stand with the knife on the helipad.
I will be haunted by the image of that AA cannon swiveling down and targetting individual marines.
I tested out fighting hunters in editor and not even two marine teams, spartan and warthog could take on two hunters
All you need is to just play it smart: use cover, avoid the cannon, *_and call in a fucking regiment of Scorpions because fuck fighting them as infantry just throw tanks at them._*
Turns out that being the last man alive and being chased by the Sangheli Terminator looks way less terrifying when you are not the one being chased...

Watching the progression of complexity and depth in these Halo mods for Arma has been almost as much fun as watching Ignis Corp take them on with their unique brand of war goblin energy. Can't wait to see where this goes next!

Besides being absolutely hilarious, I feel like I should mention that this is the most awesome and halo-y gameplay I've seen from the past decade and the fact that this comes from a group of very talented indie non-profit modders for a milsim game and not a multi-million dollar company is frankly depressing.

Oh no.....My group encountered hunters the other day when we were playing this mod.
I dont know what the bigger threat was, their fuel rod guns, or the buildings that collapsed on top of us because of the fuel rod guns.
The quality of this operation looks so good, they even had the little chapter screens. Awesome
