- Dragon Slayer 2 is has two of the most difficult fights in all of OSRS' quests. More mechanically intense than Monkey Madness 2 or Song of the Elves, and you can't be carried like in Night at the Theatre. Thankfully, with the right gear setup and some basic knowledge of the mechanics going in it's not too bad to complete both fights.

It's wild this has so few views. Very good guide. Beat Galvek first try, 78 ranged, 75 def, 78 hp with a dragon crossbow. Definitely wouldn't have without this guide. Got him to 1 hp and legit missed about 20 times though lmao.
Haha I bet that had you sweating! I’ve just finished gearing for my first ever vorkath.. but out of time so will attempt it tonight, and that’s with mid 80’s stats, your success gives me confidence!
Gonna have to try this out now. Been scared and nervous of Galvek and Vorkath but seen people my level or lower! (96) with vorkath devices and less range. Definitely gonna have to try this.
Was way too tired trying to do the galvek fight at like 1am, died 3 times without getting past the first phase. Had to see someone do it in minimal gear to get the motivation, just finished the quest.

Thanks for the guide! it still took me 12 tries to kill Galvek cause of dps issues and ruby bolt spec luck at 75 range, 70 defence, but your guide made sure I never died to the mechanics of the fight and saved me a lot of money by being able to tele out when I ran out of supplies on an attempt.
I also did Vorkath on my first try! The slayer staff autocast tip was excellent, I was really worried about manually casting the spell in time! You can also range him from the second row from the entrance and step back a row as he throws the acid to have a nice clear space to walk back and forth every single time.
Great guide! For any mains looking at this to see a low level example, consider bringing saradomin brews and super restores if you find yourself just barely running out of supplies on Vorkath.
Died to him the first time when he had 21hp left, it was rough, but coming back with potions which solved this issue.

This looks awesome it’s my next and penultimate Quest! I find the biggest thing to overcome for these big few quests is the panic. If I can keep my cool and learn the attacks for SotN and Verzik for ANatT I can do this 100% 💪

Great Guide, i was able to beat Galvek on the first try with 82 ranged, 70 def, 85 hp on my GIM with a rune crossbow. watched your fight a couple times and didnt mess up any of his special attacks! Thanks a lot!
This is definitely helpful, I don't use Runelite, so I'm always trying to find tutorials in the base client.

Man I wish I had your talent lol. I’m over here in karils, dragon xbow, dragon bolts, dfs, cb 114 with all bar 90+ combats, and all the other upgrades and still just terrified of this fight.

Bro that ruby bolt tip was absolutely game changing. Got it second go. i think it procced 4 times during the fight and twice in a row on the wave phase. cheers
Super helpful! Did the quest at 76 range, 70 def, 79 hp using similar gear. (godhide boots) Vorkath was 2 attempts cause I flubbed some mechanics first try and second attempt was a breeze after that. Galvek was tough but I got him first try with some help from 6 sara brews and 2 restores. Honestly had the hardest time for me was with the metal dragons lol I did no prep for that and ended up dying a couple times there trying to brute force it.

great guide, only died twice to Garvek, once because when i started fighting the black dragon he launched a fireball and it was the first time i saw it so i wasn't quick enough to react and died to the tsunami because i thought it could only appear on one side lol.

Man, I kept getting so lucky with rbe procs! Kept getting complacent. This quest cost me some dosh. But definitely not mad about it, probably one of the best quests I've ever done.
2:45 one correction. Rings of recoil do NOT work on vorkath/galvek.

One little thing I think of now, with the Magic filter HUGE symbols now it’s probably even easier to spell book crumble undead than it is to even switch to the staff.

Beat Vorkath at cb 92 with 77 ranged on 4th try, other tries I just missed the stupid fireballs while watching my food haha. Great guide!

Shazien boots (t5) also sneak out an additional +1 Ranged attack bonus, and less magic penalty. It's not much better than snakeskin but they're a great pair of boots for mid-level ironmen!
Thank you for this guide. I followed your setup on both fights and got the quest done. Galvek came down to my luck on ruby bolt procs, but I got him on the 7th try.

My favorite was dying to the frozen spawn because of the crossbow. It attacked vork instead of casting crumble undead.
If you're struggling (and have 55 slayer) you can use a slayer staff switch to autocast crumble undead!
@@Cudascubby It was probably my tick health being 61% that caused the delay.
Pro tip - click the ground right as the thing spawns. It takes you off auto attack on Vorkath. I got Kamakazee crabbed a couple times before I realized.
@@iTorched Even bigger protip, turn off auto retaliate and use the slayer staff. You stop attacking when you change weapons.

nice and simple guide
I’m 76 range and 73 defense. What is really messing me up is I am running out of food during the end of phase 3. I usually bring 2 prayer pots 1 anti fire and 1 divine super range. Is there anything I’m missing or should I just try to conserve my food? During phase 2-3 his red range attacks often hit me for 15+ through my prayers. Not sure what I am doing wrong or just having bad rng with specs … anyone have any advice ?
Would blow pipe with dragon darts be better??
it always amazes me how good somepeople are i barely survived with my level 109 account i dont know i used dragon diamond(e) and ruby(e) with karil robe and top. had no food abour 20 health left
How long did the final phase go for in this fight?
I ask because I got Galvek to 232hp before dying and am hoping that there isn't much in the way of rng

I keep dying, i have karils is that an ok armour? And are ruby bolts the best or should i get other bolts? (81 range)
Karils should be fine! You def want some diamond bolts paired with your ruby bolts, and swap to the diamond bolts when the boss is around 30% health.

Would blessed d'hide work or do I need to combine it with some defensive gear? Vorkath wasn't that hard, first try with food left, but I dont have void armor, so I'm asking here. Will attempt tomorrow in full blessed d'hide and some other variations. Will write what worked at the end for me, if I succeed
Blessed D'hide should be fine! If anything it may even be better than void because the bonus accuracy it gives. Good luck!
Well I did it with full blessed d'hide, my stats were:
att: 76
str: 78
def: 70
ranged: 70
I was getting to the last phase almost every try, but with little food left and he comboed me twice in phase 4. 2 deaths, 6 tries but I did it. No chance with food tho, had to go for sara brews and did it with half of them unused as well at the end on first try with them, big difference compared to food, thank you for this video, helped me a lot :)

Do you lose your imbues off the imbued gear when you die in those fights?
Nope, you will keep it! Generally speaking, the only place you lose imbues on death is the Wilderness.

Old af comment to react to; but sipping 2 doses of antipoison also cures venom. Not ideal for mains, but good for irons.

sub 80 range and void both bad ideas ur gonna waste 1 to 2 mil on just restocking food and potions because ur gonan hit ZZZZERO all day have fun also no1 is gonna get salve IE first its super luxury better to have slayer helm first
this is just for the quest which an easier version of Vork so sub 80 range is fine. Also dunno what you're smoking but void is bis for vork

@@SiXiS4 I was a bit confused by your comment at first but I believe "You don't have time" refers to being too busy (Or lazy?) to work for void I'm assuming, since you technically pay for that outfit in time
@@SiXiS4 dont get void its utter waste of time just wear black dhide or blessed dhide the best budget gear i got all void but its not accurate regular armor is way better only the void mage helm is sort of ok for minute damage bonus in other situations
Hey just FYI. Salve amulet provides no bonus against vorkath during the quest because he is still alive. It's only after DS2 when Vorkath becomes undead. Otherwise, nice guide.
