I have now made a rebuild video about every combat style except for one... Magic! That is becuase rebuilding an account with magic can be difficult due to the cost of runes.
Today we are going to be starting with just 100k and we are going to try and rebuild with runescape's new best money making method. The release of the new desert treasue 2 bosses has provided a great opportunity to rebuild with magic.
The whisperer is weak to magic and has the added benifit of having all avoidable damage. So with enough skill and effort it can be killed with very low level gear. But can we do it with only 100k?

Are you guys thinking of doing some neon signs that are like the runes in OSRS fire/water/earth etc. I would 100% buy one or 2 of those. The ones you guys have currently are very cool looking.
For what it's worth, the ring drop was perfectly fine in my opinion. Generally if you're rebuilding your account, you're not starting at 0 progress, just 0 money. Seems legit to me

I feel like another way he could've done it was to take 1/3rd of the gold for the rebuild, since he absolutely got at least 1 of the vestige rolls during it, and drop the rest to an alt. That being said though, for all we know he could've legitimately got the omega-spoon during the rebuild; he did have a couple dry streaks, and those could've been vestige rolls.
Not like it actually matters or not-a drop is a drop, so I'd call it valid either way.
Idk why he would even think thats a problem. Like arent you rebuilding there to get that drop? Kinda stupid for him to think it messes up his rebuild lmao

You could have used the beacon or lunar ring for starters magic ring slot, they untradeable and gives +2 mage accuracy if im not mistaken

Good try on the whisperer but I would go with what other commenters said, barrows first to get some runes/potential barrows item. Then give whisperer a try.
Man u have inspired me to flipping I don’t play anymore but i log in every day to buy items at 5% lower and sell them at 5% higher and i have made over 250m passive in the last 5 months started with 10m
Was a really cool rebuild and concept. I remember when i was first leveling years ago i use to fire strike blue dragons in travely dungeon for some sweet profit and early game xp :)

Love your vids! The only thing that got me on this one was, “oh no I only have 100k to do this one money making boss! (except when I don’t get what I want then we restart with a new 100k)”.
Magic is my only level 99 combat skill, and might actually mean this would be a good boss for me to fight to earn some gp so I can actually start investing gp instead of time into various skills. Battlestaves themselves would be great for turning into crafting profit, only have to buy the air orbs. Or for more profit just buy water orbs from people still doing muspah.
with all those wipes in the beginning I would have liked to see you recover from the "wipe" with more affordable magic strats, like enchanting jewlery or bolts or doing lava dragons. Fun video though :)

Yeah, that's what I thought he was going to do at first. Not necessarily include it in the video, but just show the results. Doing Whisperer is possible, but not viable or realistic.
Absolutely love the vids, a great challenge. O had one facepalm moment with the purchase of the book of darkness from perdu as it is free from the lighthouse, however, to similate buying the pages, it makes sense. Keep up the great work!

It's a nice video but it's more of a whisperer rebuild than a magic based rebuild. Would've like to see a little more variety of bosses.

Saying that the dragon plateskirt drop at 21:10 was "noteworthy" was just accidentally perfect
imo the way to handle the DT2 rings for rebuilds is to drop 2/3 of the gold to your main since you know for sure you got at least 1 of the 3 rolls in the rebuild
I was killing duke sucellus today, I got 6 supply drops in 8 kc, but I wound up staying for 20 kills and got two orbs which is the only reason I didnt throw my phone at the wall. 11/20 supply drops gfy duke

Good video, though I was wondering why you didn’t alchemist the javelin tips early on for more gold. Would’ve lessened the chances of running out of runes. Also, in the future if you have another situation like the ring, I think it would be fair to only use 1/3 of the coins, your “share” from the video, for upgrades. Obviously turn the rest into plat for after the video, you earned that.
next time, rune knives are great for the ghosts, wonder if rune axes spec works there

I got the battlestaves on my first whisperer kc. But I also died as it died (so that tweet from mod ash was bullshit) so I didnt get to pick it up.
Whisperer is hard on mobile.
I take it you dont have a radas blessing 4? That wouldve been massive for prayer in those early kills when switching to mystic

Good video, the only thing I would have changed is what happened with the GP from the Bellator drop. Seeing as it's a 1/3 roll, and you don't know if you got the roll during your series, only be able to use 1/3 of the gp obtained from it. Regain the GP you used to make it from selling the BP, etc. Looking forward to the next vid!

Honestly i think it would of been more effective to buy yourself pure essences and make your trident's runes youreself. Would of also allowed you to start of with a little better gear, food and pots.

Personally I would of preferred him using only 1/3 of the cash, but this is a "hacked" rebuild vid not an on droprat vid. The ring being primed to drop from pre "hacked" kills is something he cant really know and is what would happen with an actual account that got hacked.

Cause every other video he picked one boss and did that the whole time. Range was all muspah and melee was all calvar'ion. Like its so silly, he's maxed why would he bother doing the efficient route with these fun rebuild videos when he could just go do Corrupted gauntlet for pure profit.

you could have saved alot of money at the start by buying pure essence and crafting your own runes instead of buying the runes directly. you can buy pure essence for 1gp which means you could have gotten thousands of runes out of the same investment but you wouldnt have ran out of charges

Vestige is 3 parts. You know 100% for certain that the last and final roll happened within the parameters of the video. Why would you not take the selling price times 1/3 or about 50m as “obtained due to this video?”
If you only have 100k, just restart your bank rebuild 4 times and get a lucky ring drop. EASY!
If you have a hard time getting 100k then there are bigger issues than restarting your fake rebuild.
If anything it just shows not to do a rebuild only using whisperer.
Mage arena 2 cape takes 5 mins to get after you’ve done it once :p

Ghostly robe, talk to the npc outside Ardounge with a ring of visibility and ghost speak amulet. The npc will give you Full ghost robes for free
Book of darkness, free at lighthouse
Ghost legs
Ghost gloves
Ghost boots
Beacon ring, free from Zaff
The best free weapon slot is a Dramen staff, made from a Dramen branch
(All this was researched with 0gp and not counting any form of minigame points, minus extremely basic tools like pickaxe, ball of wools, knife, etc)

With 33k hrs i get bored usually give all my gold away then try rebuilding with cheap build even though magic is the hardest but it feels great when you start making profit.

Point blank, I think 2M for the MA2 cloak was entirely the wrong way to do it. Cabbage robes are 5k for cheap wildy armor, and runes to slap down a MA2 boss is way less than 2M. What you should've done is just reacquired it the honest way (or buy it from Perdu, I guess), like a real rebuilder would've done. I get just wanting to stay at Whisperer, but that's not realistic to a real rebuild challenge.
I also would've gone Cabbage as the first upgrade from Monks as soon as prayer pots fit in the income range. Would've made the early bits a lot faster, I suspect.

I quit the video on attempt #4. A from 100k video should be done on attempt 1 and not on a place that can lose you everything. Maybe started with non combats using mage or something.

With regards to the ring, I wouldve probably allowed 25m from its sale. Taking the thought that you did get 1 of the 3 drops for it in your rebuild, so 1/3 value, but adding additional penalty for just how much of the work you had done prior to the video.

The range is lower and makes it way harder.
So pretty much 20-30 million for 200ish kill if you remove the ring at 150 million
I cringe everytime someone thinks 1/512 drop rate means they'll get one in 512 kills.
