I have had both of my rotator cuffs and labrum’s sown back together.That surgery made my life a lot less painful.After 40 years of manual labor,my body was telling me it was time to retire and the surgeon who performed the last surgery suggested as much as well.As he put it-“you only get so many revolutions around the sun,don’t waste them”.
@@virginiamoss7045 Every medical school has examples of normal scans for comparative teaching. The internet is full of examples you can find in a matter of minutes. Plenty of people have scans to investigate pain or discomfort and find nothing to explain it. i.e. a normal scan. It's not uncommon to use them simply to rule out more common causes and narrow down possibilities. While they may not have an MRI for "no reason" there's plenty of examples of normal, anatomically functional, non-pathological shoulder images around.
That is the exact situation I had recently. Including supra spenatis and acromium spur. Surgical repaired, 8 weeks post op. I am 66 but I am fortunate to be a fitness buff. Rehabing has been slow and I am still weak. But determined . Nice explanation Thank you.
That's exactly also the result of my right shoulder MRI, it showed a partial tear on my supraspinatus, subscapularies and bicep.. I was wondering that the pain never subside despite of the meds I took & the rehab I've been through especially at night and more sleepless nights that almost makes me insane.. I undergone x ray also of my right shoulder before & after the rehab and good that no significant findings so far... The ball & socket maintained good clearances and it's spaces, up to this day I still undergo rehab and felt little relieve of my shoulder impingement.. since it was a partial tears there's no need for me to undergo surgery according orthopedic surgeon but to keep on diligently rehab!!!

@@hernandelfin8740 my injury happened when I was bench pressing and I went a little to heavy and trying to push myself. So for me it's painful to do anything chest related like push ups or flyes. My Physician sent me to physical therapy and orthopedic I have an upcoming appointment

I've got injured last week of June 2022 when I accidentally slipped in front of our grotto with my right hand trying to hold my body weight & almost a year now yet the pain still there and can't do my previous exercises, hopefully you got healed with your shoulder injury...
That patient did not have contrast injected. Most MRIs do not need contrast injected. The contrast, however, will sometimes make a tear of the labrum show up better.
I HAD A TORN ROTATER CUFF SP THE DR THOUGHT HE COULD USE A SCOPE TO FIX IT, HOWEVER IT WAS COMPLETELY TORN AWAY FROM THE BONE SO HE HAD TO MAKE A CUT ON MY ARM THIS SURGERY WAS THE MOST PAINFUL SURGERY IVE EVER HAD

I fell on my left side and tore off my infra and supraspanatous off. Whatever you do you must go to rehab to get function back into shoulder. I’m old hat with tears had just a tear on right shoulder four years earlier. Genetically speaking have had issues with elbow and wrist Tendons too.

Hello, when the MRI shows new small areas of low-grade partial thickness articular sided tearing in the supraspinatus and junctional infrspinatus. Where is this located? I have already had two rotator cuff surgeries for a full thickness, Supraspinatis tearing I’m just trying to figure out what this new tearing means and where is it?

3 tears in rotator cuff n impingement from a bad fall 5 mths ago physio is slow hurts when I do too much keeping it moving with exercises exercises has become weak from shoulder to fingers so doing strenth exercises to help build muscles in top of arm n shoulder physio says at least another 6 mths b4 he'll release me it'll never be 100% again but he'll wrk with me to get it as close to it as he can.
@NuManXplore yes..but therapy is the key..while going in therapy for the second one,the therapist insisted I do a few that I told her I wasn't comfortable with..ended up tearing it again in therapy! The pain is going but when I raise my right are a loud pop is loud enough it can be heard by anyone next to me..find a GOOD therapy and use it
Help, I've had such a problem with my shoulders that it is unbearable now. I've been to many specialists, and they say many different things. From my sockets being too small and my tendons to long to ulnar nerve entrapment and bi lateral carpal tunnel syndrome. I have had problems since childhood, and they have become worse. 18 years of Dr.s and no one can do anything. My arms slide out of their sockets, and it feels horrible. It constantly feels like I've hit my funny bone, and I have no strength in my hands. I'm 40, and I can't physically get up in the morning because my neck and shoulders hurt so much. The past few months have been really bad, and last week, my hands and arms started getting worse pain
Hi my shoulder has deformation on it and I have all touch strength grip on my hand and arm but can't move my arm because my biceps completely not working I can't move my arm around up or down going for a mri scan today hopefully I can get the movement of my arm back with a operation or Something .
@@bbugrayuksel yeah I got screwed. Im in my first week of having my labrum and glenoid repaired from surgery, first few days were hellish for me. Didn’t sleep an entire 24 hours after operation, then when I did sleep it’s been super uncomfortable to the point I wake up every hour or so. And oxy drug does not do well with me, makes me feel sick to my soul. Now after a week it’s been very manageable with some pain but not much.
It's my understanding that the rotator cuff IS a tendon, but I could be wrong. All I know is I had a full thickness tear repaired on my right shoulder 6 years ago, and now I have a tear on my left, and these things HURT! Such joy.
@@roninselman6772 Yes, I just had my right rotator cuff tendon surgery. SS massive tear, massive biceps tendon tear, arthropathy in AC joint. Left rotator cuff tendons are torn also. Right was worse and dominant side 😢

My shoulder pops and my elbow loud well it's healing I think (tennis elbow) I've been battling with that for years now but when I get up out of my seat my shoulder pops and it isn't pleasant to feel and the sounds. I beat the shit of my body through my life. I should have a shot in my shoulder again. My question is what's the pops from?
@@imperia6368 I'm sorry that you're in pain I got a nuclear test for my rib I broke it around 2002. Possibly not gonna help you out. You're in pain do you take anything to the pain? My wife massaged my shoulder front shoulder and it killed me nobody massage it before only ice massages in rehab in Chicagoland I should get more PT. We went to the range and it helped my elbow but I have to shoot more for my shoulder, no bullshit shooting helped me.
So instead of dealing with the “ac”(collar bone) problem. (Shot o cortisone) Surgery on the rotator cuff and physical therapy. The tonsillectomy scams over. Doesn’t have to put his finger…
My doctors told me that in my right arm I have no rotator cuff it was shredded. And that tore loose all three shoulder muscles that's why I couldn't move my arm the head that bring the muscles back up from the elbow and reattach them and the rotary cup long be fixed 25%.

Having a normal shoulder in comparison would make an enormous difference.
He explained pretty clearly what’s abnormal and why. Surely you’re able to work backwards?

I have a greater than 75% thickness tear of the subscapularis.
