    This is interesting. Nursing student ako dito sa US. Our timeline and pre-requisites vary from school to school. Ang hirap makapasok ng Nursing Program dito. May mga various Nursing programs dito. We have Associate of Nursing Degree (ADN) which is only 2 years and can get you the Registered Nurse License, we have Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN), at meron ding Masters of Science in Nursing Direct entry where you already have a Bachelors in any degree and just take the core classes to get the nursing degree and get the MSN upon graduation. Then, there’s the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
    BUT before you can get into any of these programs, you need to satisfy all the pre-requisites muna like anatomy and physiology, chemistry, biology etc…
    You also needed to pass the HESI test or the TEAS test to even get admitted to the nursing school.
    All schools here wont even allow you to enroll without finishing those classes. Kaya matagal dito ang nursing degree. You need to finish muna mga required classes before applying sa nursing school. Plus, all Nursing programs require their own GPA grades, letter of recommendation, health care job hours. May kanya kanya silang requirements bago ka matanggap, and usually it takes 2-3 tries on average bago matanggap ang isang applicant. It took me 2 years to finish all my requirements bago ako natanggap sa nursing program na pinasukan ko ngayon.

      not true those all depends on the school you apply for. If you apply for a public school like community college or university, you will need pre-requisites and maybe a certification or two. If you apply for a private school you wont need anything. My school doesnt require pre-requisites if you have them thats ok but depends on if they will take them or not. You could've waste your time doing pre-reqs just to find out the school doesnt accept the ones you take. You can enter the school with no experience no subject etc (like i did). So for anyone thinking about doing nursing school dont even bother go waste time doing pre-reqs that could take up to 2 years to do, 2 years you're wasting that you could've been using in nursing school. Just apply for a school that doesn't require them. That way you dont delay doing nursing school. My BSN program is 3 years of school, all prerequisites are done in the first year along with some nursing courses. Then second year is clinicals, labs and skills, third year is more law, ethics and capstone etc.

      @@EG-O all REGISTERED NURSE PROGRAMS here REQUIRES PRE-REQUISITES. Nakakatakot ang school na walang ganun ang school. ADN at minimum requires certain amount of credits to be met before awarding. Lol

    • @EG-O
      @EG-O 2 месяца назад

      @@peterperalta4258 yeah thats crazy because in usa schools don't require you to have pre-reqs before entering as you can do all the pre-reqs in the first semester and first year of nursing school. Reason why because they dont help one bit with real core nursing subjects. They are practically useless and a waste of time, as non of those pre-reqs i did help me in any way in nursing school. I'm in the Accelerated BSN program about halfway done, got 4 semesters left then i'm done. Only subject that i can say actually is helpful in nursing school from the pre-reqs is maybe anatomy. Thats literally the only one i could say made sense.

    I love her eyes haha i'm halfway through my BSN program :). hehe but you dont need any of that in nursing school well in usa that is only the vital sign equipment. Always nice to have your own stethoscope , as for the tuning fork yeah maybe use it during physical assessment but rarely ever. blood pressure cuffs rarely ever use that, as everything these days is electronic, only time you'll do manual is if the vital signs are high or low. Calculator is nice touch, but i use the phone calculator or my apple watch, but maybe stricter in philippines so in philippines maybe yes. I just been to the Philippines this april was very nice. Never seen a filipina that looks so asian like you haha, you must be one of the unique ones. Another thing that could be helpful is a nursing clipboard (foldable). You have all your conversions etc on the clipboard and it folds away in your scrub pocket, really handy.
