Musical Mastery and Magic. Big love for this song from this Allman Bros Loving Fan, Downright Beautiful. Brings tears to my eyes. Could have listened all night. These songs have such heart, hearth and width, you can play them forever and in so many ways when you are as talented as these folks on stage. What a great show! Keep on having fun!
there is absolutely nothing wrong with this bit of musical heaven EXCEPT..... when Derrick and Warren faced off for their duals.... Susan backed away. am i the only one that sees the missed moment of musical Nirvana if she stayed upfront and made that a trio? everybody knows she can hang with the boys. what a missed opportunity to really bring this music into the future.
They weren't really doing a duel. Derek was just giving Warren rhythmic encouragement. I would have dug the crap out of it if Warren and Derek DID do some tradeoffs.
Finally after all these years a Blue Sky that I thought Derek did a good job on. He usually over plays it and most the time I prefer Johnny Stacalas from the Allman Betts Band. Of course no one can play it better than Duane.
Once again Derek overdoing it. This song just misses Dickey so very much, but gotta say Warren does an awesome job. Susan really getting the joyful groove of the song.
Wow. That’s all. Just wow

Derek always leans in when another player is featured. I’ve read he doesn’t use ear buds or a monitor, he just moves closer to who he wants to hear.
