I'm 59 and this has truly been my favorite tune since I can recall. I've always found the melody to be something I would hear in Heaven. Even the simplistic lyrics speak in an amazing way. I was fortunate to see AllmanBros play it in '95 at Great Woods, but......I was blessed by the grace of God to be at THE Garden this night and I was moved beyond words and emotions. Warren and Derek are 2 gifts for all of us to enjoy and this song live with them was indescribable. I recorded it as well from my seats further up and both your and my versions capture the essence of this God Blessed 8+ minutes. Thx so much for sharing your copy. I may share mine someday too ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😲🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍💜💜💜🩷🩷🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
The beauty of that guitar work makes me weep with joy! God, I'm so glad I could see the OG brothers and this, magnificent replication of that magic.!! Dericks talent is supernatural. Warren was always a Brother at heart.
Pure Gold! Brings tears to my to my eye . These two had the best chemistry of all the Allman guitarists and longevity! I love them ! Long life to the Brothers! Long life to the legacy of Duane, Dickey, and Greg!
Not these two, but the original two, Duane and Dickey. It was their chemistry that got the whole thing going. But yes, Derek and Warren do sound good together.
@@bklyncyclist they do more than sound together they’ve taken the phrasing and the lead lines and the melodies to a higher level than the originals ever did. They’ve been together longer than the originals ever were and they’ve even played together with Dickie longer than Duane ever did. I have my respect for the originals just like everybody else as they started at all. But there are many great players in the history of the brothers and that times, these two can be as good as any of them. I also believe Jack Pearson puts all the rest of them , well he’s on a different plane... I’ve seen dangerous Dan Toller too. We’re all entitled to our opinions. Every One of us will have a different one, I have been playing guitar for 50 years and played these songs live, not on this level for sure!!!! this is my opinion and mine alone. Thank you for sharing my passion for this music!.
If you want to see great chemistry, just watch Tedeschi and Trucks do a guitar challenge. Imagine what a domestic argument sounds like in their house: No yelling and screaming, they just fire up their guitars and go at it!
Wow, how Derek emulates and creates at the same time is just awe inspiring. It is surely a spirit connection. And that face time with Warren during his solo is amazing! Thanks!
The face off on lead guitar between Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks on Blue Sky was amazing. It reminds me of the guitar solos of Dickey Betts and Warren Haynes on Blue Sky at Woodstock 94.
This is continuation of what set the original Allman Brothers Band above all else. We went to hear a live concert where the music was the focus from talented musicians. They had no interest in a show that replaced talent with fireworks, jumping off stage props, bizarre makeup and costumes. Still worth it today. This is NOT your big show from Taylor Swift, Beyonce, or Jayz. I don't care how many records they have sold or streamed, they all sold their soul for fame, and have no actual talent of music. Music should lift your soul.
Oh YEAH! Beautiful. Really tasty...and just right. Echoes of the boys and the wonderful band we remember, and still played in their own voices. What a treat!
👍 🎸 🎼 🎸🎧🎤🙈🤣🎶😏💩You all together sounds so good the music that you play gets the angels to smile 😇. This is like music I love , I'm 65 years old raise up listen to The Allman Brothers Band , l remember your husband very very young playing with the A. B. B. at that time l don't know how far he would go. I NEVER THOUGHT HE WOULD BE UP AS FAR AS HE WENT I MY EYES 👀👁️👀 AND I BELIEVE A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE IF NOT BUT ALMOST # 1. KEEP ON PLAYING. 👍
This moved me Derek loves Wayne and radiates near him I’ve never seen such a live capture of role alignment between Dwayne and Dickey encapsulated in two disciples
Been watching Derek since he was about 12 here in Jacksonville. Even then, he had an innate ability to jam like he was a veteran. I love his work without slide and this goes to show you how talented he is.
I HEARD DICKEY & DUANE DO THIS IN NEW ORLEANS ABOUT A MONTH OR TWO BEFORE BEFORE LEFT US -- GOTTA SAY -- THIS IS A DAMN FINE RENDITION OF THAT OLD SONG -- BRAVO
What memories this is a great tribute to the brothers they were way ahead of their time nothing but a good time if we could go back to them days compared today was worth their weight in gold.
When I fell in love with the Allman bros music was when I was a teen. I used to sleep to WRDU and this played and I remember to this day (47 yrs old) . Dreamed my band was playing this and watching my other guitar play “Bodie” playing the solo. Favorite band ever since.
I always have a little tinge in my heart when I hear this song. Because it's Dickey Betts who wrote it and played so masterfully with Warren many times and Derek too but not as many as Warren. Warren joined the ABB in 1989. They do it justice
This was good, quality music. To each his own, but I have to say that Warren Haynes, to me, had more of the ABB tone and dead on rhythm. I know it wasn't a competition. Just saying.
Oh my, that was good. Derek's talent is stunning, and Warren, well, is there anything he can't do? Susan can pull it all together with her voice. LOVED IT
Driving 10 hours from Canada to Nashville in December for an Allman Family reunion show , with Duane Betts and Devon Allman with special guests First half is all Gregg second half all Dickey songs
Some of my favorite Derek solos are no-slide. It was the same with Duane Allman. Outstanding!
Two of the best guitar players on the planet.
Warren is on fire. Best I've heard him on this tune...... I do miss his slide though.
Damn I miss those two. Glad to see them still passing on the magic. The road goes on forever. Thank you Dickey. Thanks for sharing.
Me too! They always sounded good together, but I remember some ABB shows they went to a different place that only those two can go. And it’s magical.
Thank you Dickey Betts for writing this song. Frankly I wish he was on stage as well..
That’s as good a prayer as I’ve heard for Duane and Dickie!! Thanks boys, what a beautiful homage to The Brothers. . .
Where have you been the last 25 years when they were the guitarists for the Allman Brothers ? It's always been this good

Brings tears to my eyes it's so good
Wow. God is good….and so is THIS music!!! Incredible.
What a magical night. Blue Sky and Dreams were on my wish list to hear and they did not disappoint on either song.

Thanks for capturing and sharing, what an amazing Blue Sky! I feel the same way about this song, I was lucky enough to see them in '93!!
The beauty of that guitar work makes me weep with joy! God, I'm so glad I could see the OG brothers and this, magnificent replication of that magic.!! Dericks talent is supernatural. Warren was always a Brother at heart.
I love this song. I played and sang it so many times. This was pure joy, I was right there with you. Damn, that was good!
My two favorite guitar players playing my all time favorite song. Wish I was there.

It’s wonderful to see these old bandmates playing together again. Especially on this Allman Brothers Band nugget.
The face off on lead guitar between Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks on Blue Sky was amazing. It reminds me of the guitar solos of Dickey Betts and Warren Haynes on Blue Sky at Woodstock 94.
I loved you in the Brady Bunch
You forgot to mention that you loved my dancing skills on dancing with the stars.
I just love it when you see Susan smiling as they’re all playing! You know when the band is enjoying it there is magic being made!!!
Warren Haynes brings so much to the band, it's just beautiful 🏴 🏴 🏴 ❤
a great musician surrounded by a bunch of great musicians
those two!
The more that I hear Derek the more I believe in reincarnation and find a simple Allman Joy knowing that Duane’s soul has found a new body.
Nah bro 😂😂😂😂, that’s trucks
Warren - just join the band already! C’mon!
Royal Couple of Rock and Roll plus Warren on Allman Brothers' song. Ecstasy.
Dickey Betts ❤
Allman Joy!
No wonder Susan is smiling,, that's just perfection. ♥ 🏴
Damn. Just WOW!!!!! Again!! Brothers…
The Allman Brothers legacy lives on in Derek and Warren, but we will always miss, Duane, Dickey and Greg.
Hang on Susan but I gotta have this minute with Warren…..🎉🎉🎉🎉

This moved me
Derek loves Wayne and radiates near him
I’ve never seen such a live capture of role alignment between Dwayne and Dickey encapsulated in two disciples
Derek Trucks is Duane Allman reincarnated.
Someone will crucify me but as fantastic as this is musically, it’s my least favorite style of TTB playing.
Been watching Derek since he was about 12 here in Jacksonville. Even then, he had an innate ability to jam like he was a veteran. I love his work without slide and this goes to show you how talented he is.
Great job Warren & Susan!

thanks for posting
Happy to share it. TTB is a great band and it was an extra treat to see an ABB concert break out in the middle of it!
Holy shit. Derek good as ever…and Warren really killed it
His voicing is so sick
Mesmerizing
Music history re-written, what a performance, guys you are amazing..❤
legit chill when susan started singing this most beloved masterpiece
Peach Approved 👍
What a treat ❤
Of all the collaborations I've seen this has to be one of the best!
There is nothing to say but just 👂💕💕💕💕

Nobody did two guitar harmony like the Allman Brothers! Warren and Derek all over it!
Jeezy peeps i have to say it the musicallity of the band utterly blows me away.❤🏴
Love this. No one sings it like Dickey. Saw him sing it at the Bottle N Cork in the early 2000's,he brought the fucking house down
This is definitely my favourite Allman bros song. And this is so good. Beyond good, just beautiful x 😢🎉❤🎸
Does not get much better than this. Teary eyed rn
That’s what I’m talk’n ‘bout !
You listen to music with your heart ! You get it 🫵👍
I play music w my heart bro.
I love this band and Derek & Warren are just as special as Duane & Dickey. They really carried the sound and soul of the originals forward.
Was missing something, couldn't work it out, then it hit me DICKEY! This song just needs Dickey's special melodic magic!
I just love the bones of this band,, can't wait for my 6th time seeing them again sooner than later I hope. 🏴 ♥
A Dicky Betts song
This was good, quality music. To each his own, but I have to say that Warren Haynes, to me, had more of the ABB tone and dead on rhythm. I know it wasn't a competition. Just saying.
Great story
Great job! 😊😊😊
This was magical
tremendous
phone concert ...
Is that Lukas Nelson playing the acoustic guitar? Looks just like him!!
Yes that’s Lukas .
Nobody can play it better than the amazing musician who wrote.
I almost confused these fellas with the Jonas Brothers :)
Liked how Derek stepped up close to Warren, and Susan stepped aside, let boys be boys! ...lol..what a jam. ❤
Oh my, that was good. Derek's talent is stunning, and Warren, well, is there anything he can't do? Susan can pull it all together with her voice. LOVED IT
Keep the music alive young fellas.
Those two are like an extension of each other
Thanks dicky Holy shit
Just pure Magic talent !!!
