- Welcome to "The Evolution of Beauty Standards," an engaging exploration of how beauty ideals have transformed over the past century! Join us as we journey through the captivating world of vintage fashion and makeup with Alexandre and Max, the dynamic duo behind a renowned vintage and antique shop "POMPON" located in the heart of Marais, Paris.
With a wealth of experience working with esteemed actresses and style icons, including contributing to the costume designs of the acclaimed Dior series, Alexandre and Max bring a wealth of expertise and passion to our exploration of vintage beauty.
In collaboration with our muses Angelina and Carmo, each representing a different decade, we explore how beauty standards have evolved over time. From the elegant sophistication of the Edwardian era to the bold glamour of the Roaring Twenties, we uncover the nuances of each period's fashion and beauty trends.
In our inaugural episode, we transport ourselves back to the turn of the 20th century, delving into the iconic styles of the 1900s and 1910s. We recreate authentic looks from this pivotal period through meticulous research and inspired creativity, from intricately detailed garments to makeup techniques.
However, we must note that while we strive for historical authenticity, some inaccuracies may occur as we draw inspiration from the spirit of these bygone eras. Nonetheless, our goal remains unchanged: to shed light on how beauty standards have shifted over time and highlight the enduring influence of early 20th-century aesthetics on contemporary fashion and beauty.
Join us for a captivating glimpse into the past and a celebration of the dynamic evolution of beauty standards. Don't forget to subscribe and stay tuned for future episodes as we continue our journey through the decades of beauty!

Beautiful! Such a great look at historical fashion! Love their personalities too.
Thank you!!🤍
Please do more like this!!! 😍
More coming🤩. Thank you for watching!
Carmo is stunning. She act in such a charming way. 👍
Спасибо! Прекрасная работа! Ждём с нетерпением новых выпусков с такой тематикой!
Wow! Thank you for that episode! 🤩👏👏👏😍 amazing and so interesting! Looking forward to the the next one
8:51 DUDES!!!!! why are you tight lacing her in!!!????? This corset was not made for her, and it's a lace up anyways, only lace it till she is comfortable, if she is uncomfortable then the lacing is too tight, it looks like there is room for padding anyways so use padding to fill out the bust and hips 9:49 the fact that she did that hitch in her breathing shows me you guys laced it too tight on her, she shouldn't be doing that. 10:59 "moving all you organs", hahah, you know that is BS, right? your organs don't move around, they might get squished a bit, but they don't move, there is tissue holding your organs in place.
Exactly, only pregnancy moves organs internally, not exterior corsetry.
This was lovely! The dresses chosen were exquisite!
Merci!!!
Absolutely magnificent! Love it!😊❤
I can't wait to see the next episode, so magical!
Stunning love this !!!
This was fascinating. Watching the layers go on makes so much sense for the fashion of the time. It would also be interesting to see how the lower classes dressed at each time zone. With no one to dress them I would think the lower classes dress/fashion was something simpler?
The 1910s silhouette was so interesting! Moving the organs around with clothing, wow
Well this is new! And I'm here for it! 🤩
Thank you!!🤩🤩
Second outfit is very beautiful and suits you very much!
Loved this, thank you!
You're so welcome! Thank you for watching
The clothing is gorgeous but I can already hear all the historical costuming specialists screaming about the perpetuation of modern misconceptions about corsetry.
so cute loved this so much. excellent excellent bravo 💗
Wow, interesting, thank you guys! Beautiful clothes, so feminine 😊 i would like to wear similar dresses, but without corset 😅
Great episode!!
Please do the 1920's, 30's, 40's, etc. Thanks.
Coming soon🤍
Wow! J'adore ce type de vidéos!
The reason you don't find a lot of corsets is because they were tailor made and they were worn every day. They were not discarded as a bad memory. They were used until they were worn out. Do we keep our old t-shirt bras? You can find the really superb fancy ones because they were specialty items. Beautiful collection though. What an experience to try these on!
Fantástico! I loved it so much , thanks a lot ❤❤❤❤❤
You're welcome 😊
So interesting, ai love the transformation.
Fantastic 🎉
Now ❤.
I will come to see you guys when I’m in Paris.
🤩🤩🤩
So interesting! I wish you had shown more about how to achieve the 1910s hairstyle!
Love the white lace blouse
Loved it❤
amazing, very interesting how women dressed in the 1900! the clothes were so gorgeous, elegant and feminine
Very interesting transformations! You keep saying 19th century, though! The 19th century was the 1800's, not the 1900's. Fromm 1900 to 2000 is the 20th century.
Beautiful 😊
Many thanks!
Superb! Could you prepare an episode about what 15- 18 years old dress like in Paris, please?
Loves IT!
Thank you!!!
I'm still watching this, but had to stop to comment that I would absolutely love to know where Angelina's double denim outfit is from! ♥
I have some bad experience with waist cinching devices - people thought that I have a big tummy and I am trying to compress that
So interesting. I could not imagine dressing like that every day! Corsets make you look great, but at what price?
It was very interesting to put them on and let our muses express how they feel in them🙌
Nice ❤❤…..
how do i volunteer to be a part of this lol (i'm actually so serious)
The video is great but I wish it was in French instead of English 🥺
Thank you for watching🤍
у неё мало татух на правой руке , нужно и на левой что-то интересное модное набить , на груди , на шее ❤

They look beautiful in the garments. I'm also glad that we women don't have to squeeze our bodies into the corset nowadays.
I love so much this make more of this🤍.
I would be super happy so they will dress me in those dresses❤
