Here we go: both bumpers in your exact colour from the UK TT breakers facebook group, including a good wing 200quid, no painting needed, you probably will get half of that back by selling your parts.
Change the maf if its too old, change the half moon seal on camshaft it always leaks, its only 12 pounds but you need to remove one camshaft, put it back and time the engine afterwards and proper torquing of the bolts. Also about 20 for an engine cover gasket. Possible leak from turbo hence burning smell, remove it and check for play and cracks, install it with genuine gasket and one time use bolts kit, 35quid from audi. Also check your exhaust manifold for cracks and that the turbo surfaces that mate together are completely flat. Check that the afterun pump works, if not your turbo already has problems, the pump is a 20 bosch part online and a 5 min job. New water bottle can be had for 8-12. Check the vacuum system, especially under input manifold, replace with silicone hoses sold in various widths by the meter anyways, some parts can be expensive though.

This is great, love my 2002 convertible TT and already have a good mechanic who takes good care of her. But my central display even looks worse than yours and if there's a way to fix that without changing the whole dashboard unit (that's what my mechanic suggests) I would be stoked!

Most probably the valve cover gasket leaking oil, if you look on the right side of it there is a half moon seal, also prone to leak. Gasket kit is cheap and comes included with outer gasket, inner gasket for the spark plug wells, and the halfmoon seal.

Hey man! Do you think the TT is a good sports car? I cant decide wether to get an A4 B6 1.9tdi and tune it to around 220-230hp and have a very economical sleeper/ass hauler, or should I go down the sporty route and get the TT. My big deal breaker is that I have rear passengers very often, and space is bad in the TT, so Im not sure if I should get it or not. Is it a good performance car? Does it handle well? Does it make up for the bad practicality in performance compared to the A4? Does it cause you headache on a daily basis when you have more than one passengers?
I respect you so much. Fantastic videos. I have an audi with 2.0tfsi. I think it is burning coolant - some white smoke and litte heat from the heater system. This system requires a vacuum fill - would doing this potentially fill the cylinder with coolant? Guessin it wouldn't show a leak with the coolant pressure test. Also what is your opinion of steel seal? Thinking of running this round the system with deionised water. Thanks
Avoid snake oil. Cylinder head has to come off. Either head gasket or cracked head.

You won't had most that problem with Japanese... there are still some but not all hell broke open...

Burning oil smell comes a lot from the sai vacuum system, (delete it)the crankcase pvc system.. and also the oil dip stick tube is common oil leak in front. I have a 01 roadster I’m about to big turbo build
What exact color code is the exterior paint?
Mines in the garage right now getting a new clutch. After it gets out the upgrades begin.
Did you find the clutch with a difficult bite (sorry, I'm not English and I mean that my TT's clutch has to be almost completely released to get moving, plus the accelerator has to be pressed more than the regular cars. It's harder to get it right just with the pedals if you have to stop uphill and pull out again. I need the handbrake to be able to do it, otherwise I'll just roll back).
in mind the check engine light and it goes to low on idle aswell, check ur O2 sensor.
Are you sure the struts sticking up is a problem? I think your car is on lowering springs and that's why. Also you have grey headlights which I think is not standard on the 225? Quite nice...

When the temperature shows up like that its because its got a bad thermostat, its really easy to replace and its cheap ( not so sure being an audi ) but on most cars an oem thermostat its cheap.

Can i ask.. i tried to replace the lcd myself and now the tt will not start. Any advice or is the cluster stuffed?

Mate I’ve been waiting ages for a proper write up on my car. Got the following problem: car starts an drives no problem, but once it’s warmed up the instument panel starts whinig abou low oil pressure once I’m at a stop light or anywhere else i’m standing at idle speeds. It started out wth everything working. And slowly my temp sensor started dying. Temp would go from the normal 90 degrees to way under 0 degrees without warning while driving. When this occured the low oil pressure alarm would occure. Then and only then. But the more I would drive, the more often this fault would occure. I have replaced temp sensor and oilpressure sensor, with no succes. The same problem keeps happening. Temp sensor does not do anything at the moment. Have also hooked up odb2 device so that I can read out what the car reads from said sensors. Temp used to read around 90 degrees but now a couple of months later while the problem seems to have got worse, the temp seems to jump all over the place. Because I was scared that the oil pressure would have a real fault I have replaced te oilpump with a brand new one. There was no dirt or sludge whatsoever in the carter and the sump screen was clear too.
I have scoured the internet all over for a sollution, but most “experts” seem to not have a clue what the hell i’m talking about. Hope you have a sollution, otherwise it’s of to the audi garage to donate a couple of atms and legs. I drive an audi tt 225 apx roadster quattro. Left hand drive. Keep up the good work.
I think needles may needs to be calibrated coz RPM also shows 500 and when engine off RPM needle sits much lower thn the zero point. May be some previous owner messes with the clocks.
Clock failure is a common problem n these cars
The gap in the top mounts is usual, every TT has that gap

I need help. I have an issue with my mk5 gti my clutch keeps getting stuck in but only while running. I dont have any brake fluid leaking so I cnt find the issue.
Check the clutch master or slave cylinder.
Do a brake flush and bleed the clutch, old fluid can do that. I had the same thing happen in my 08 beetle, flushed the fluid and haven’t had any issues since
@@gratigo1 I bleed all of the lines when I replace the master cylinder. The issue whas there before and after the master was replaced. The only one I haven't replaced is the slave
@@grf4005 master was changed and all the lines where bleed including slave. Maybe replacing slave?

haha my TT temp gauge also crazy, cold start in the AM then its at 90 . sometimes while driving needle just drops to 130 then hit the dash hard then it will drop to 75 . just TT things
Also oil pressure 3 beeps warning. but then goes away and might come back later again. changed oil pump and pickup as well.

No mine stays hot all the way. They said it was the cluster

First, i will give her a nice good degreasing (it is much better to work on len dirty car). Then I'll change all gaskets, oil pickup pipe and oil pump, haldex etc.. Have FUN

Coolant leak somewhere but radweld fixed it every 6 months
Failed Mot on emissions. Changed oil (couldn’t change plugs) sea foam and cataclean and 50. Miles of red lineing it and it passed with 0.00 readings. 😀😀
