Swanley New Barn Railway

New years day and a chance to visit a miniature railway that has been on my to do list for a couple of years. Running around part of Swanley Park in Kent this 7.25 inch gauge line runs a new years steam up every year, no fares are charged and passenger donate to a charity this years charity was the Alzheimer Society. 6 locos were on display putting in some hardy performances on the damp rails.

Nice video, it’s a great little railway, I used to visit regularly before I moved to Norfolk. They used to have some diesel locos as well and there were a lot of youngsters involved with it.

Its a nice little line. I believe they do still have a fleet of diesels. Yes I did notice a lot of younger members involved good to see.

Oh right didn't realise you volunteered there aswell as Barnard's. Do you appear in the video at any point? I was there until about half 1 when was you driving the Romulus?

kinetic .rail I don’t volunteer at Swanley I was just visiting with Joan on the day and got the chance to do a bit of shunting.
I think about 1:45, so it would have been after you left.
