5/5 it goes from almost a candy apple red to a black cherry. Such a striking contrast, and you can definitely still see the midtones from the base coat.
The oranges in there as well.
That is one AMAZING color. The hypershift brings out all the curves of the car nicely, highlighting and shadowing perfectly! Absolute 5/5 from me
I have this ZBR Hypershift on the black base. It looks great. 22 KIA Stinger GT2. Always wonder what this on a red base would look like.

Always loved red, but what you guys have done is absolutely beautiful....
In general, I prefer subtle effects over crazy hypershifts. This one I love. The shifts add depth and complexity to the wine color. This is one of the few reds I'd want on my car. Thinking this would look wicked cool on my 350z roadster.

I’d definitely give it a 5. Nice subtle changes that aren’t just from a beautiful garnet red to black but also very subtle oranges and even maybe a little purple. Love it.

Definitely giving this a 5! Ever since yall first sprayed ZBR a couple years ago, it captivated me. The red really pops, I'd say slightly more than with the black base coat. However, I like the shifting range from the black base coat ever so slightly more. Regardless, thank you for experimenting with this combo. I'm one of those people who've been asking for ZBR experiments, and yall brought your game. ZBR is still my all time favorite shift out of everything you've ever shown.
Agreed, it never really shifts to black, but the purple and amber shifts are subtle and very classy. 3/5 if your aim is black to red, 5/5 as it is, I love red
5, this is one of my favorites that you guys have done so far. I really like the wicked wine base and was wanting to see black candy over it, but then this shows up and now I'm having doubts as to what one I might like best.
5! I absolutely LOVE wicked wine and this just adds depth to the entire thing. Very cool results. The amber shifts are awesome!!

I have to give it a five it’s extremely subtle but extremely drastic if that sounds right? It’s not crazy wild color shifting all over the place but it definitely goes dark on the side angle I think it’s pretty cool.
I absolutely love this one. This is the exact combo that I want use on my bike. It has a fire undertone to it.
Now THIS is nearly what I want on my car! I'd love a car to look red, but change to black when looking at it from an angle. This is ALMOST that look! I wish it could get a true black instead of just getting decently dark. But hey, this is still amazing!
Cadillac used to have a color back in the day called Black Cherry. kinda reminds me of this colpr combo but the black cherry was a lot darker (almost completely black) with only subtle hints of cherry when looked at in daylight. obviously at night, it just looked black. Idk if Cadillac still uses it, but it was a color in the late 80s to mid 90s. tbh I don't think I've seen the Black Cherry on anything other than Fleetwoods but I could be 100% wrong on that.
Maybe with a black base coat…
They did another video with ZBR over a black base and it did shift to pure black. It was fire.

I see hints of burnt orange to blood purple especially during the closeup shots to almost black. Pretty impressive. Definitely worth doing. Give it a 5.
It's amazing how hard the shifts are on the body lines. Even on some of the more subtle lines, it looks like it was masked and painted with 2 different colors until the camera moves enough.
Exactly my thoughts, the body lines just stand out. It would be interesting on something with more flowing shape that normally may be a little boring.
Would you guys consider alternating the topcoat that you use from week to week? Matte DYC topcoat one week, then the glossy topcoat the next, then the matte, and so on.
Wait until the new Next Gen Topcoats come out later this year. We'll have a Satin and Frozen, and will def be using plenty of both!

That was not at all what I expected. Now I feel like I need to see it over a palette of speed shapes lol
5 outta 5!, a unique candy apple red with a flop of burgundy. Definitely looks good with the black accents: wheels, roof, ect. 👍
4.5 out of 5, I love the transitions between basically a candy apple red, to crimson, to dark plum wine. It looks exquisite, and dare I say, even sexy lol. I'm glad it worked out, but I also had some doubts from the start of the video seeing it mix and seeing the wicked wine undercoat. I'm glad it worked and that my initial thoughts were incorrect.
In theory you guys have basically an infinity of mad scientist mixes you could try 🤙 Those orange shifts are insane. 5-5
The most predictable results always come over black but other colors can provide really cool results!
Red is ordinarily such a dull colour but this is actually pretty cool with the depth it has.
It's beautiful. I love the subtleness of it. 4.5/5. It's almost perfect, but not quite dark enough.
You should try something totally left field, how about a grey primer and that same black red shimmer on top😊 I’m just saying or how about that mueso black base first
I have a theory that as long as the base color is also contained in the HyperShift, that it will look awesome. Thoughts on that??
painting monochromatic is never wrong. its how interior designers can make a room look great.

Wow.. I want that color on my CAR... thats an AMAZING 5 for sure.. The red is Deep and vibrant and love how it goes dark at certain angles. This one was Superb!!
5/5! That's YUMMY color! You do get a real red at some angles then it shifts into that wonderful black cherry/plum color. and sometimes bits of the amber too.

I’ve watched a couple dozen of these and this is the only one I’ve rated so far. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The black shift was very fainted, but this color was beautiful.

You finally did it! THANK YOU!! I've been waiting on this combo since zbr came out. This is what I was hoping to do on my dodge boogie van build and now that I can see how well it turned out, I will be going forward with it. The van is currently a burgundy color very similar to wicked wine therefore all the jams will be a close enough match. Hands down a 5! 👏

SOoooo nice - kinda subtle, but blends in to effectively make the color just *POP*, in general. Basically took a flat color to a 3D level by giving it highlights and shadows in different colors due to the hypershift... a solid 4 rating!

Definitely a 5. I was wondering what ZBR would do over a red base coat. It seems to take most of the copper color out of the ZBR that you sometimes get over a black base

Do you use the whole gallon on the project? How many coats does it typically use to reach the desired depth? Anyway I enjoy watching you mix it up, it’s very calming. I would like to see a project with some color shifting stripes though.

It goes from Wild strawberry to Wicked Wine to Black Cherry depending on the Angle, and it looks MARVELOUS! I would LOVE to see that on a Deep Purple Base!!!
