25 points of articulation (more than Mcfarlane toys), not nearly as fragile as Neca, decent sculpt, paint deco is consistent with the price point, sensible accessories and it includes a nice diorama display background. For a $10 USD figure that you can actually play with and pose I'd say that it's a better value than Neca and Mcfarlane toys overall, dollar for dollar

Honestly, I think they were going for movie inspired decos here. The white one is clearly a nod the Ripley Alien of Resurrection, the blue for Aliens, and the copper color is almost straight out of Alien 3 complete with the same kind of dog that it hatches from. It certainly looks more like a runner version in that movie as well. Pretty cool - and Dan, I'd argue that Predator has LOADS of articulation. I'm not sure what else it would really need. It can strike all the major poses and has 90% more articulation than most kids style figures.

I picked up the runner figure today MAINLY for the Rottie figure. I am always looking for good 1/12 scale animals, so that was the selling point for me. I also had no clue it was anatomically correct. LOL

My guess is Lanard knew they could fill the void left by branded figures that were discontinued. Honestly, they are nailing this stuff and could rise to become a competitor against current toy brands. Especially since these new figures are really cool for kids and very nostalgic. Now they need to do Colonial Marines to go with them.
The "electro staff" with the jungle hunter predator is actually an oversized version of the spear-tip from Predator 2, that is analysed and found to not correspond to anything in the periodic table. 'Cos it's alien metal. I kind of wish they'd done that drone in a dark brown or dark grey/black to be more accurate to the original "Big Chap" Alien as seen in the original movie. Though these colours remind me of the Capcom Alien vs Predator game.

@Pixel Dan Are you sure the Alien's wrists are on a swivel? The small first release of the figures are on a Ball Joint, and I know cause I took the figure apart to customize it and give it a repaint. I am a firm collector of the old McFarlane Aliens as well as all NECA ones, but I do Love these especially since they have great retail value and they lend themselves to be customized. They are so good that the first line is great to fit with the old 90s Kenner line well enough and let us not talk about the beauty of their chunky Queen Alien lol.
Another two things, the Predators clear(ish) plastic, did you check if it glows in the dark? Because it looks on camera as if it is the glow in the dark type of plastic and it could be a hidden feature. And lastly, the "Electro Claw thing" is actually the projectile shown in the PREDATOR 2 Film that lead one of the main cast characters killed retrieving it from a murder scene. Only it is enlarged to be portrayed as another type of weapon.
These are great and lovely toys that are a must have most definitely :)

Lanard is odd. They're cheap and low quality, but they put in some effort

I love this toyline but sadly not distributed in France & it's so expensive to send it from USA.... :(

Bought the warrior Alien and I am very impressed. You get a lot of play out of 10bucks. I think kids will like them just because they look like evil nasty alien monsters. I know I would have as a kid. Lanard has me impressed.

I couldn't believe it when I walked in the toy store and saw Alien and Predator action figures very obviously aimed at children! Two dead, R rated properties. I hope they do well. They're cool designs for aliens and soldiers even if kids don't know what movies they are actually from.

I finally saw some of the Xenomorph figures at a shelf at Walmart and you bet I got them! Great price, cool designs and now I’m in the hunt (pun intended) for some of the Predator figures & that Red Queen

I got the 12 inch pred from this line for 20 bucks last weekend . It's pretty bulky and huge you can tell these are meant to be played with. my only real concern with this figure is his plaza cannon has an led in it and it's super bright i actually didn't realize how bright it is and shot my self in the eye an was blind for like 5 minutes. a child doing the same thing is a real problem . other then that great figure

Blue alien is practically a modern "Gorilla Alien" from the Kenner line!

I'll admit they look fun, but not for me. With just SLIGHTLY more articulation, mostly wrist hinges, but a few other points, too, i might actually pick them uo and throw some paint on them for background figures, but yeah, I'm definitely more the audience for Neca.

I collect NECA pretty heavily, and I see these figures getting a lot of hate from the ""adult"" collectors. I'm like they're only ten bucks and they're excellent for background army building in your more pricey diorama set ups.....and they're perfect for keeping the kiddos from begging to play with your expensive toys.

Ha my toddler and I have started to pick these up. He likes them a lot and since I got the Kenners BITD I do too! Definitely good for play!

100%, Disney tests if they want to make new movies based off product sales. There's a good chance they just kinda threw this out there to see the interest from kids. If they should do a PG13 Alien movie or not. Now that they own these licenses, they are trying to figure out if they can shift them to more family friendly spheres or have to keep them R rated or what.
As for the toys themselves, honestly, I feel like more toy lines should be handled by more than one company. So you have a cheap "kids line" that is the less detailed, 5-point stuff, companies like Lanard. Then other companies, like Neca, Bandai, Hasbro handle the more premium collectors items.
As a prime example, I feel like the Hasbro cheaper star wars figures cost too much for what you get. I feel like the Black Series is priced fairly.

    Doggies got NARDS !
I love these. They hit the nostalgia button of the Kenner line so much more successfully than NECA does. Add to that toyetic durability, and a $10 price point and they become near perfection.

I can't understand the market for these.. just like he discusses.. also they are really affordable.. but not overly articulated/painted.. they are so odd.

I'm really, really, really happy that there are Alien and Predator toys aimed to kids again, though I'd prefer these to have more real realistic paint jobs and give us the original Giger design, not that awful Cameron space bug design.

Yknow i remember seeing some of the Alien figures in Toys R Us and I think Target, or Walmart, not sure.
Didnt know they also did a Predator line.....then again even in toys these franchises seem intertwined soooooo

I wish the other Predator figures had a complete paint job, it seems like only the parts of the figure you can see while it's packaged are fully painted, compared to the product on the back of the packaging there's a lot of paint missing. The alien jaws on the drone and warrior are kind of bulky and uncharacteristic, but these were pretty fun to hunt down and I totally bought them all, and extras for the kids haha.
I'd really like to see a second series of this size but a little bit more detail.

I watched predator and alien movies growing up and had the movies so my boys got a hold on some good old classic action/syfy classics when they were 7, they were even predators for Halloween last year, these are so much more affordable and less delicate to play with then the neca figures so I recommend 😅👍🏼

I think they are intended to look nostalgic and to confuse dorks like us into wondering why they were made for kids in 2020, when the reality is, they were made for us older guys who will cave and buy anything AVP when we see it lol.

Real talk. I bought these for my 5 year old son. I introduced him to this . He loved them. And unfortunately the right leg to the predator toy already broke off n my son just accidentally dropped it and he cried.
