The alien Isolation xeno design is the best xeno design ever created in any and all alien universes. A perfect homage to Giger's vision with a tremendous improvement to the legs making it a much quicker and aggressive beast. This is the ideal xeno.
It's a good design but as the figure itself it's so frustrating that it can't stand by itself. Weak legs and the stand included to help is even more useless. I actually prefer the Big Chap.
Yep just got that one , dick head will not stand up , really loose lower leg joints , if joints were stiff and you could actually pose it that be great . I wouldn’t of bought it if I realised what this figure was like
Snake alien is probably the greatest neca figure ever made ( at the moment ) the paint, the sculpt, the posable tail, its long ass tongue! I think it should be shown more love ( movies, games, comics etc )
A must-have on every good movie and game fan shelf! Highly recommended is also a rotating red LED warning light above the shelf, these are relatively cheap on Amazon sometimes 4$ or less, but a few alert lights really enhance the immersion of every gaming room.
Wait, the Predalien can go for $250?! I got that toy as a birthday present when it was new. Up until 2-3 days ago it has been standing on a shelf collecting dust.
I've always preferred the smooth dome to the ridged one. To be honest, I know it's a petty nitpick, but that's the number one thing that irks me about the film Aliens. It forever gave everyone else license to have ridged head aliens when they should be smooth if they came from a human host. It just annoys me when people play fast and loose with established canon and Alien is my favorite film of all time.
Where did you hear this theory? I thought and it was stated by James Cameron he went with the "no dome" because it was to cumbersome to do action scenes in "Aliens"
i can't remember exactly where i read it. but the dome shaped head in the first alien happened because it was a young alien. barely a day old. The aliens we see in aliens (alien2) have ridged head because of the fact that they have lived longer. So they are considered adults.
I just read that as well. James Cameron saw the Alien props and some of the xenomorphs head dome was cracked. He looked at Giger's ridge head design and decided it is functional and he liked the way it looked. Then he came out with the first alien being a younger version of his alien warriors story.
You might be able to find it on Ebay still. It didn't seem SUPER popular being from a video game and not a movie. Be prepared to like superglue joints or something I had to on my the legs are so damn weak it won't stand on it's own.
Honestly what makes me upset is that when I was a kid my Dad managed to get me the AVPR Alien Warrior, 4 Variants of Wolf and BOTH variants of the Predalien. I managed to break all my aliens and I damaged most of the predators (still have them but I had to superglue one leg on of the figures) and I’m pretty sure I’m missing some stuff with my predators but the fact that I was so careless with my aliens is just heartbreaking especially now since they’re considered rare. Played with them a bit too rough and because of my past mistakes I’m not holding those beauties in my hand 😭. A shame but now that I’m older I think I’ll be able to start up another AVP collection and treat them with a lot more care. Live and learn.

I actually like alien versus predator requiem more myself but I think the night time scenes they could lighten it up a bit , and just to let you know the predalien is not a male it is a female judging by the crest on its head and the fact that it lays eggs .

I like the traditional aliens but I have to say I'm very happy to see mantis alien, and it's my favorite alien they've made. It's so unique and breaks away from the norm. Same goes for clan leader predator. It's nice to see something more than just the same ol predator with a lot of reuse of armor.

TheRealClassAct a old 2 pack sold a toys r us. came with the closed mouth variant of a jungle hunter as well as a alien skull and predator skull. it is getting pricy now days. I was lucky to grab it shortly after it came out

Surprised the Predalien is so rare really. The articulation on it is awful and personally I'm not keen on the design. I think without the dreads it would look far better. Dreds on a Xenomorph just look silly!
My favourite alien is the resurrection warrior. I like the paint and the design, and the water scene makes me like the design even more. My second favourite is the predalien. Just a really cool design, and has a tremendous amount of shelf presence. My third favourite is the big chap (series 2), i love the classic design and think it looks sick.

I have the Predalien figure but one of the arm pegs broke off so I had to super glue it in place to display it. It sucks, but I'm just glad I still have it from when I was like 11 or 12 years old. At one point I had 2 of them but I lost the second. Also still have my Wolf Predator but he is missing the accesories and one finger but It is harldly noticible in the way I display him.
I have had a bad time with Neca before and my figures often broke with ease. the last time I had a Neca figure it was the alien isolation xenomroph. due to quality control the figure broke a few hours wafted taking it out of the box. but for some reason I am thinking about giving Neca a second chance by 1 to 3 xenomroph figures. Should I do it?
I have about 30 Neca figures. My Big Chap's ankle was stuck when I got it. I tried to force it and it broke. I had to glue it back on. I also broke one of the little piston on the back of Robocop's leg. Fixed with glue as well. More recently I broke a tiny cable on the arm of my Ultimate Jungle Hunter. It's a really tiny rubbery cable and it's not long enough to fully extend the arm. It broke but the tip is resting on the edge of the gauntlet so I wont bother fix it since it look fine. Many of my predators, aliens and terminators have also taken dives off shelves and none broke. I'm not sure which of my Neca figure is the oldest but I think articulations have improved a lot on their newer stuff. They seem to break on tiny stuff that are obviously fragile rather than having limbs fall apart like they did years ago.
I dot know why and would really like to know but I always preferred the classic dome look for the alien I don't like the rugged shape head I prefer the smooth dome don't know why I just like it
actually the Dog Alien and Runners arent the same thing, Runners werent a thing until the videogame AVP2 in 2001, while color and texture wise they resembled the dog alien, their lore and background has no relation, so it was most likely used as a reference/nod to Alien 3

Hayden Crongeyer yeah the bio ports definitely are not supposed to come off. I had one of mine come off with one of my genocide aliens and the only way I found to get it to stay back on was with some loctite sadly. just a little bit of it goes a long way.

HELP: I have a "open mouth ver" (just like the vid) predalien on his box. I'm a woman tight on space to display things so I usually keep things on their packaging, I'm wondering if I should just sell him now and buy the next NECA wave of predaliens (whenever that comes) since I really love him, but I was never convinced by the lack of articulation so (awesome sculpture though, it compensates pretty well)... what do you guys think I should do?, I can wait, I'm not impatient, and I know the moment it goes out the original will lose his value instantly, so if I'm gonna' sell it it has to be like "right now", any confirmation on the AVPR line yet? we are April 2017 and series 11 was announce but it doesn't have any AVPR figures in it... I could use some opinions here. Thanks in advance.
ArgenDoll Underground Radio it keeps getting pushed back. it could be a year or 2 until the avpr line gets revisited at this point. if you want to make some money, I would deff sell him now because the closer it gets to being released again the less people are going to pay. I would sell now because eventually people won't even want to buy it because yo the new version. You could prob get anywhere form 75-175 for him depending on the market and where you are selling him
Cool tidbit about the Predalien. The dreads were made from leftover infant dog alien tails from when the fx guys did Alien 3. :-) I still have both that one and the closed mouth version, which I just adore. But the closed mouth one fell over one day, and the head and left arm popped off. Had to glue the arm in, but even though the head seems to be an undamaged ball joint, I've never been able to get it to stay on securely. Hoping they rerelease it with better articulation.
These are all super awesome!! I just started collecting Neca figures (have a few of the 8bit color versions). Which Alien figure or figures would you say would have to be like must own for beginners? I'm getting the Ultimate City hunter soon and Ultimate Jungle hunter in April.
German Lopez I would definitely recommend the Aliens warrior blue (10) and the ones not on the list I would say The Big Chap from Alien and then the Alien warrior from AvPR 👍
I have thr NECA queen and while I love it, the skull mount doesn't slide forward, the head doesn't rotate down properly and the back spikes don't fit into their sockets properly. I still love it but damn y'know.
I loved avpr too not sure why all the hate.great list I got them all and the predators. I keep mine all in the boxes so I usually have no idea on the articulation theses guys have. Love the Vids man keep them up.
haha, "the lighting started to die" when u brought the predalien figure into the camera. lol, the predalien has a cures of dark lighting so u can't see the god dam thing in the movie. great video and great choices as well as amazing figures

ridge means its fully grown. Young ones have smooth head.

Aliens did ruin the canon. I hate the aliens in it. I like the queen but the actual xenomorphs became canon fodder.
imagine if we get NECA to design they're own theory aliens like wave 20 we get like different aliens designed with some awesome animals.

I love neca aliens! I wish I wasn’t so afraid to pose them. Only had one break though, at the hip.
My faves are the warrior alien, big chap, grid, AvP warrior, dog and Queen. Oh and the AvP:R warrior is really good for the time it came out too.

The BluRay shelf of every true cineast needs some Star Trek and NECA Alien/Predator/Ripley stuff to enhance all these great disk steelbooks! ;)

The spine at the back of the neck falls when they (xenomorphs)get older letting the head move in more ways making it a lot better of a hunter
It, along with the smooth dome, was removed in aliens to give the stunt performers more mobility and and safety while acting out their scenes

when did Neca say they are re releasing the Avpr lines for figure 4 I cant find anything on the net
Magana Co. they said it on there Twitter account, who is run by the production director. they said it should be around early 2018
the 4th seems to be the best in my opinion I think I saw alien 7 4 and 2 in a near by toy store for 25 bucks I want 4 now :D

actually the Dog Alien and Runners arent the same thing, Runners werent a thing until the videogame AVP2 in 2001, while color and texture wise they resembled the dog alien, their lore and background has no relation, so it was most likely used as a reference/nod to Alien 3

I picked up both versions of the predalien, the closed mouth version is a different colour to the open mouth one, More green.

the port on the isolation Zeno isn't supposed to come off, does any one know how to stick it on permanently with out glue?
Hayden Crongeyer yeah the bio ports definitely are not supposed to come off. I had one of mine come off with one of my genocide aliens and the only way I found to get it to stay back on was with some loctite sadly. just a little bit of it goes a long way.

Hayden Crongeyer it is suposed to, the isolation xeno usualy rests his head between the tubes, and the neca needed to be able to do so
so when you say they're doing avpr are they redoing them or just re-release

you know that the predalien is a very young queen and it is proven by the kind of long crest at the head

...what's a "pretorian"? The Predalien is in fact a young Queen. The directors themselves said it, and you can clearly see it implant alien embryos in its victims
A Preatorian is like an honour guard type alien. But yeah, the Predalien is a queen.

HELP: I have a "open mouth ver" (just like the vid) predalien on his box. I'm a woman tight on space to display things so I usually keep things on their packaging, I'm wondering if I should just sell him now and buy the next NECA wave of predaliens (whenever that comes) since I really love him, but I was never convinced by the lack of articulation so (awesome sculpture though, it compensates pretty well)... what do you guys think I should do?, I can wait, I'm not impatient, and I know the moment it goes out the original will lose his value instantly, so if I'm gonna' sell it it has to be like "right now", any confirmation on the AVPR line yet? we are April 2017 and series 11 was announce but it doesn't have any AVPR figures in it... I could use some opinions here. Thanks in advance.
ArgenDoll Underground Radio it keeps getting pushed back. it could be a year or 2 until the avpr line gets revisited at this point. if you want to make some money, I would deff sell him now because the closer it gets to being released again the less people are going to pay. I would sell now because eventually people won't even want to buy it because yo the new version. You could prob get anywhere form 75-175 for him depending on the market and where you are selling him
Cool tidbit about the Predalien. The dreads were made from leftover infant dog alien tails from when the fx guys did Alien 3. :-) I still have both that one and the closed mouth version, which I just adore. But the closed mouth one fell over one day, and the head and left arm popped off. Had to glue the arm in, but even though the head seems to be an undamaged ball joint, I've never been able to get it to stay on securely. Hoping they rerelease it with better articulation.

These are all super awesome!! I just started collecting Neca figures (have a few of the 8bit color versions). Which Alien figure or figures would you say would have to be like must own for beginners? I'm getting the Ultimate City hunter soon and Ultimate Jungle hunter in April.
German Lopez I would definitely recommend the Aliens warrior blue (10) and the ones not on the list I would say The Big Chap from Alien and then the Alien warrior from AvPR 👍

Just looking fro news on an AVP:R line re-release, can't seem to find it on my own :(
I have thr NECA queen and while I love it, the skull mount doesn't slide forward, the head doesn't rotate down properly and the back spikes don't fit into their sockets properly. I still love it but damn y'know.
there is double joints at the knee for the alien warrior from series 2

I loved avpr too not sure why all the hate.great list I got them all and the predators. I keep mine all in the boxes so I usually have no idea on the articulation theses guys have. Love the Vids man keep them up.

haha, "the lighting started to die" when u brought the predalien figure into the camera. lol, the predalien has a cures of dark lighting so u can't see the god dam thing in the movie. great video and great choices as well as amazing figures
