When I hear this song, I think of thoughtful contemplation. A man is surrounded by ghosts who whisper to him as he walks, examining reflective mirrors in what might be an abandoned museum. In each mirror, his reflection changes between various shadowy creatures. In one mirror, at 1:17, he sees his true self and the mirror shatters. He runs from his reflection, his footsteps echoing with notes. As the music quiets, he is still pacing through a darkened area filled with mirrors, watching as the shadow from his alternate reflection follows him. At 2:34, he sees his alternative self clearly as it walks through the halls. He discreetly follows it as it examines mirrors, finally pausing in front of a mirror and punching through it. The world flips and everything is pulled into the broken mirror. Abstract, trippy artwork as shadowy reflections move through. I don't think that's only reserved for people who have horrible upbringings. I think it really exists and is part of the human condition. I think in the course of your life you figure out ways to deal with that. Every life has a measure of sorrow, and sometimes this is what awakens us...
Surely, dark traits exit in all human beings to an extent. The ones with poor genes, environment and upbringing, however, develop more severe and corrupt tendencies/coping mechanisms compared to the ones who aren't exposed to such effects as much as those abnormal individuals sustained.
