She was like 18 at that point so unless it was a flashforward, no way. Jackie should not have been proposed to just because she wanted it. Her having that spoiled demanding attitude forever would NOT have made a future with Hyde work. Hyde, on the other hand, finally had a career that would have satisfied his love of music and Jackie's requirement that her partner be gainfully employed.

Hyde isn't ready for marriage, and she sure as hell isn't, so season 7 should have ended with her being content with being in a relationship and NOT getting what she wants just because she made a fuss about it. That would have been immense growth for her. Hyde getting a job in his biological father's record company also would have made their relationship last, since no way would Jackie continue to date a man without a career. The fact that Hyde loves music also just makes his career make sense.

Laura, Danny, Ashton, Mila, and Wilmer, used to go out all the time together. They were/are close friends. They stayed in touch for many years after and continued to get together.
In season 3, the writers pretty much decided that Jackie and Hyde weren't right for each other. Then season 5 came and decided to put them together for some reason.
Well the fact that ashton kutcher and mila kunis are a real life couple makes it very realistic that they ended up in the show as well I wish it would have been hyde and Jackie but i can accept it with that fact in mind

You know what is so ironic? Everyone hates Fez and Jackie so much, but in reality, out of the 3, Fez was probably the one that was best for her. She needed stability, love, and emotional support. Neither Hyde nor Kelso could offer her that. If these were real people, and Jackie came to me asking if she should marry Hyde or Fez, I would say Fez in a heartbeat. Hyde did not want to be tied down, and was too unreliable and often callous towards her. Common sense tells us Fez would be a much better husband. I know I'd choose Fez over Hyde anyday. He'd also probably be a better father
