Always happy when there’s a new Koss video. The man is an artist, so there’s no use trying to critique his work or compare him to other makers or production knives. Just appreciate the beauty in his work, it’s not difficult. If you want to buy it, usually you can if you’re quick on the draw, but he’s not begging or even asking anyone to buy it. Another great, utterly relaxing and zen video! Thanks Koss. 🤘💯
I've been a manual machinist for years now in aerospace, I like to think Im a pretty clever one too. But that dremel cutoff wheel in the mill for a keycutter just blew my mind! So simple, can't wait to try it! Cheers
Now THIS is something I would spend big bucks on, hand made from scratch, excellent materials, nice craftsmanship, and excellent taste in design. $$$$ worth every penny!
Perfectly executed 3F's in an elegant style, Koss! Love the anodizing color, nice work on that and the screws. OA one of my new favorites of yours! Thanks much for sharing your amazing talents with us!
I like the beefy-ness of the knife and that you didn't hog out and needlessly remove material on the inside of the Ti scales to lighten them! I bet the weight feels nice, making it feel solid and dependable, especially in the pocket. Nice design to btw! The knifes design doesn't discards anything that's not absolutely necessary. I give it an A+ man, good job!
I want to emphasize that I haven’t commented on people I don’t know for a long time, but I consider it at least a crime not to write to the owner of this video. I watched your video at a very uncomfortable time with a terrible mood, but starting to watch your every step in the process of creating a masterpiece in the form of a knife, I watched greedily absorbing every detail every right angle on the metal that you turned into a knife assembled from many parts so perfectly - what in in the end, they looked like one, I think no, I'm sure that you should continue to please us and enjoy yourself, because you are the Picasso of your work, I am delighted perfectly!
I kinda prefer these more machined type of builds rather than the more traditional blacksmithing ones. It's just really nice to watch come into existance.
That is awesome you decided to make a flipper. You do need a Steel lock bar insert and some Jimping on the flipper tab and it would be perfect. I am amazed that you even made your own hardware very impressive!!! If you could perfect the process you could be an up and coming USA folding knife maker. I collect some nice examples by a few designers and I would be happy to add another one to my collection. *Koss Knives*
Titanium is much more prone to scratches and deformation than annealed steel. To give you an idea ; the M390 steel used here is a really nice steel that has a nice edge retention, it has a hardness of around 60HRC, the titanium is much softer and tops at around 42HRC. The more HRC the material has, the longer it will keep it's edge (up to a point where it can become brittle : think of glass, very hard but brittle). Downside is sharpening, where you want a softer material to not spend hours to sharpen the knive. Usually knives are around 54 to 62 HRC
@@Cabeza492 M390 is a type of steel. There are many out there, with different composition giving them different characteristics (hardness, resistance to corrosion, elasticity...) HRC refers to a way of measuring hardness for hard materials, iirc its on a scale of 1 to 100. You can google "Rockwell Hardness test" to learn more !
How come each time you magic up a new masterpiece, it's my new favourite? I mean, you'd think that somewhere along the line one of them would stick as 'Koss' best ever', but it's always another level up. Guess that's what makes you such a gifted artist dude 👉👉👉. Thanks once again for sharing with us 🙏🙏🙏. 😎
at the beginning of the video, when you put the rough bar on the stand, how does it not move? is a question I've always asked myself but still can't find an answer to it
You worked on High speed steel I am amazed. And the Anodising the titanium was a good choice. Nice work
Ayo!! Random Hands!! Love your videos.

Stop being a cringe fanboy
I see your point. However, unless you make knives yourself you can't say we can't critique their work.
That's how you get better at making knives.
It is incredible to see
I love the cobalt blue color! Any person would be proud to have that in their pocket! Nice, functional and simple, beautiful folder
I love how you have a Modern/Futuristic style to your knives. So cool! Works of art.

You've definetly got super skills. Thank you for letting us watch.
I love seeing folding knives being made, and his one is beautiful! Great job.
Nice! How much does it weight?

What's the advantage of using this steel vs regular carbon steel you can temper after you're done?

Nice flat grind, some added jimping would make a great front flipper.
what is the material that the washers you used made out of?
I have a question... When using the surface grinder at the very first of the video, how is the blank held in place? Is it an electro magnet? Thanks!
10:50 Absolutely amazing
Absolutely gorgeous work. Why washers instead of bearings?

How did u change the color of the metal? What process does is it called electrolysis ?
Bıçağın kabza rengini tuzlu suyla mı verdiniz cevaplarsanız sevinirim güzel iş çıkardın 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
brilliant work
Awesome work !!!
Perfect, congratulations
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I don't know much about knives but I wonder why the blade is not made of titanuim too.

Nice. Looks like it was made in a factory.
So cool 🤙😺
Nice one 👍🏻… love the magical colouring process..👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤓
Great job. Congratulations.
Очень круто. Немного повысить качество анодирования и лазером сделать логотип и марку стали. 🔝
Very nice 🙂
You always make some amazing. Is it possible to buy your works?
Can you do a same with hand tool?
nice Knife bro
looks awesome, doing this with CNC'S is a pain i cant imagine doing this by hand
When can we see these on the market I want one of your knives
Como eu faço pra comprar um desse ?
Nice job 💪🏻👍🏻

the steel blank lie on the magnetic plate, which prevents it from moving
@@Koss-channel и у этой магнитной плиты есть волшебная ручка, поворачиваешь в одну сторону, магнитит, поворачиваешь в другую, отпускает. Колдовство😂
I think you should use bearings instead of washers for such knife, it will make it very smooth.
very nice design , how much the price...?
