Love your designs, but have to say i would have liked to see a little more meat at the knife tip. If design could stand it not cut the inner slot so high into the tip. But eagerly await all your videos
This design was first made in 1918 by the Christy Knife Company...it was known as the Christy sliding blade knife. I had one as a boy in the 1950's and still have that little knife today.
I notice the original design doesn't have palm slicing flaw. This thing would cut a fold of skin eventually. You'll notice he moves fingers awkwardly out of the way while retracting the blade. Looks cool but not as functional as the original design. Glad you pointed out original or I would have made faulty assumption.
I would have to disagree. I was under the impression that the blade would slide out on a spring or spring-like action mechanism. Poor ratings on this one.
The saw blade strip that was cut down near the middle of the vid is spring steel, and the nubbins that were seen being filed down, act as locking lugs at the open and close.
Ever thought of making a OTF (out the front) style knife? Microtech makes a good one, you can buy a cheap knock off copy for $30 and use that for template to make a custom 1of1 OTF knife.
Amazing work, as always Its interesting that nowhere in the video does the maker ask how anyone else would design and make this knife and yet, so many people have so many "great" ideas about how they would do it. Except they won't do it. No skill, no imagination, no motivation. The great thing about free advice is the price, the trouble comes from the advice being worth exactly what you pay for it.
Beautiful! But that should be called an OTF (Out the Front) knife or the more universal term for all knives that go in the pocket. Pocket knife. You knife doesn't fold, so it can't be classified as a folder.
that has doubts about what you want to use it for because it has no edge but it has a point and that is literally a weapon because the functionality of the tool does not have that as a screwdriver it does not have a knife either because it has no edge so that isit to stab someone someone
Guys support like let him see! Hello Koss! I have an idea for you to make a great knife. Only for your own design, I know what you can do. Look at the "Reate Exo" model. I would like to see something similar in your execution.
Dude that's lovely. Another solid win.
dude, that is really really nice
Awesome job. I'm also doing handmade. ^^))
Can it stabs?
Looks like the hidden blade

Always these old men criticizing other peoples stuff. Just keep to yourself
I don’t think this knife has to worry about being used to cut anything
@@jackguehne997 Rude, what do you have against constructive criticism
@@wsketchy I agree he didn't say "this knifes stupid" very much the opposite.
The only person doing anything wrong is you jack!
Dope knife as always but you should include good locking mechanisms
Yeah I was just wondering what happened if you tried to use the point on that thing. HAHA.

And yet Again, another incredible knife added to your collection.
Nice job!
Beautiful design and craftsmanship, particularly the double bevel. Classy! Well Done, Koss!!

@@nosleepfutures those are called automatic OTFs or OTF switchblades. This is a manual OTF.
It is identical to my potato peeler that I bought on ebay. 😂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
cool, but the design is kinda fowm a stabing knife while teh mechanic is not for stabinig, but still cool design tho
bro im a lil early fo dis one
Great things come in small packages!!!!!!!!!!!. Marvelous piece of craftsmanship.
Yeah that's what my girlfriend used to tell me.
@@madwilliamflint you stole my comment
You know it’s “titanium time” when that grinder started making mega sparks on the sheet.
That's a very elaborate and over engineered letter opener. Beautiful!!
OTF knife without that dumb spring mechanism? Count me in! Now I know what's my next project gonna be XD
It looks like a potato peeler! I love it.
One of your best design. Really amazing work!
Fantastic work, dude! Amazing looking knife!!! 😃
Well done!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Amazing. There seems to be a click into place at open and closed. But it was not clear how that was achieved
That thin piece of lining.

looks amazing, but I wouldn't dare to use this knife without gloves.
You make it look so easy. Beautiful piece you made. Bravo sir
Đẹp!quá kỳ công cho 1 tác phẩm!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🥰🥰🥰
Amazing design, amazing workmanship. Best wishes. 👍👍👍
nice work would love to see you make a balisong
Very nice,I really really loved it 👍♥️
Partially an OTF. Obviously you can't do a complete one, for monetization reasons. Still, nice knife.
Such an elegant design. Love it.
My man should participate in Forged IN Fire
it's one of Joker knives! Perfect!
The Ultimate Potato Peeler
Beautiful knife as usual. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week 😎
Gorgeous result! Outstanding!

Good job Koss beautiful knife well done
Actually that would be a dagger because of the two sides not many people get it right
What belt grinder do you use? Great work.
Spectacular, shift folding Knife !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just as sweet and tidy as ever dude. Lovely job 👏👏👏. 😎
I love this, would carry it, use it. I know others have used the word masterpiece, but that is what this is.
The title had me buggin. I thought it said "Shit OTF Knife"
Yippee
Kinda looks like a retractable fruit/veggie peeler!
I like the tilting feature
Yuck
Good job....amazing 👍🌹👍

Bewels are too steep, looks like this knife won't cut very well. Also - 7:03 - drilling using already tapped hole as a guide - seriously?

Greetings from Turkey....
You're a surgeon with the Angle grinder! Beautiful blade!
Could make this into a manual otf throwing knife 🤔 I collect knives and pretty up to date on them and haven't seen Ont yet!
You have good idea (👍🏻), but realization ... 😐.
All i can see in your shop is a fullmetal kiridashi. where is all the rest?
That's a knice nife.
Hella dope results, Koss! Ideal box cutter/letter opener!
I am in love with this please tell me how much it is I want at least I don't know five or six of them
