- Hi friends. I have finished working on an automatic knife. It took me 5 weeks to make the knife and one week to edit the video. The most difficult thing for me was making the button, which I spent several days on. Despite the fact that all the details were designed in the drawing, many changes were made in the process of work. Hope you enjoy this video! Thanks for watching!

I have to say that you have alot of patience. Of course you would need alot of patience to endeavour to make a great knife like an automatic knife. Just the tools needed to make the knife would be expensive. Wonderful job.

Wow so all it takes is 100 precision templates and the trained keen eye of a master craftsman. Humans could make it to andromeda and I’d still be stuck on step 1. Whom I kidding you could hand me all those templates on a silver platter and I’d spend days getting pissed off at the tiny screws.

You can find several videos on how they work & you'll see how you can do this yourself pretty easily

-knifemakers don’t make mistakes; only shorter blades-
two things that i would had done different is i wouldnt had put a finish on the layers and rounded the edges on them to give the knife a more solid and unified look and i would had made a lower switch other then that it looks great for a home made knife :)

Watch this whole video and you cover up the final use of the blade after assembly with an oversized link to another video! I know you showed it at the beginning of the video but you also need to show it after the assembly without cutting away because it is just good practice to show it's operation after you just finished building it, and there are people out there that would accuse you of refusing to show it's operation because it didn't work right or failed in some way. I can hear it working and I can see the tip of the blade when you popped it out so I don't think anything went wrong with it but there are those out there who wouldn't hesitate to make the most absurd accusations. Just sayin, it was a let down to not see it work because of a link was in the way.
I can't follow--each direction's pull is from a single spring? That doesn't seem strong enough, but I guess I've never tried. Hell of a design.
Some have 2 springs, side by side. Depends on how heavy the actual blade is and how fast you want it to deploy. Remember, the tuffer the spring(s), the harder it will be to trigger, plus as the blade shoots out, and comes to a slamming stop, it bashes the stops more and more. A nice fine balance is needed.

Or you can just buy a flick comb and just modify the knife to fit it. Gives a much more professional look.
You can buy cheap otf knifes. Titan tanto is like $30- $40 or so
